A Bed-time Story for Tottenham fans LOL!
Once upon a time a team was born in 1886 called Dial Square in Woolwich, Southeast London who named themselves Royal Arsenal, today known as “The Arsenal”. They played their football in Southeast London until along came a man called Henry Norris. In 1913 he decided to cross the waters and invaded the territory known as North London and after a great battle with a tribe called Tottenham Hotspur he built a castle called “Highbury” to mark his victory.
Spurs, as they liked to be called were allowed to remain in North London and moved from the marshes to build their own castle called White Hart Lane. The mighty Arsenal felt sympathy and allowed them to take their mascot “a cock” which stood proudly since 1910. Since then there have been great leaders who have lead Arsenal to victory, General Chapman, General Graham and General Wenger.
To this day the battles continue and in the year 2013 it will be a Century since the great warriors called The Arsenal have dominated North London. Tottenham fans have never forgiven them for dominating “their” North London and sing songs reminding Arsenal where they come from. Their most famous song is called Nomads. The moral of this story is that after 100 years “The Arsenal” are proud of their roots and know where they were born, Southeast London. They are still “the only team in London” and have built an empire in their playing ground, North London.
Sadly the cock no longer crows while the cannon still fires its reminder to the Spurs fans that “The Arsenal” still continue to dominate! At their last battle the Spurs fans winked and twitched with their tails between their legs back to their crumbling castle called White Hart Lane with the chorus of “there’s only one team in London, one team in London, there’s only one team in London” ringing in their ears.
Their one grace is their leader Twitch Harry is still trying to count to FIVE and has had to consult with his next-in-command Rosie who is renowned to be good with figures. Good night, sleep tight and don’t have nightmares! Maybe when the Spurs fans wake up tomorrow they will think that it was all just a nightmare. But we know better!

What a lovely story to tell the younger Gunners to send them soundly off to sleep. An alternative would be to aske them to count back to the last time Spurs won the league……

What a nice story, iam dozing even though it is 9:am where iam. Fellow Gunners I was the most relieved arsenal fan in my home town of Argungu, northern Nigeria. Man UTD and Spud fans were all over me nd was almost crying when spuds were 2 nil off until General Wenger’s warriors releases their full arsenals to save my ass. I wish the same weaponry wil be released agaist d Italianns. Gunners for ever!

what a display from rosicky what a display if we play like that week in week out we”d be unstopable it was barca’esc, when the defence sits high and we actually put work in in midfield we dont need a central defensive midfielder all the time which allows songs half and half roll to work perfectly, what a performance everyone put in a massive shift same again for liverpool please!!

I went to a Spurs blog and witnessed them rip their manager and their team apart. I thought only Arsenal fans would do that, but it looks like our neighbours are just the same.
I was not an optimist and I expected a draw, even at 0-2 after Bale’s ignominious dive (does it mean I was an optimist?). 5-2! A superb performance from the players, in particular Rosicky. Why don’t the team play like that all the time?
I don’t change my opinion about the manager (negative), but every time the team play, they represent us fans and and therefore fully deserve our support, no matter what. That’s why I strongly resent people booing our own team while they play.
Can Arsenal maintain the momentum? I think we can. Let’s keep our fingers crossed

It’s a bit of a cliff hanger isnt it… ALOW ME TO FINISH THE STORY…. And the Spurs with their castle White Hart Lane crumbling around them realising that north london would never again be considered their home made a pilgramige to stratford to find a new home and hopefully meet a foe with whom they could compete. THE END
