Adam Kemp – Eight massive reasons to sack Wenger!
When Arsenal lost 2-1 to Barcelona in the Champions League final back in 2006 I was in tears. This was the first and only game that I succumbed to visual anguish; expect today was the second time ever that I cried over a defeat. The disappointment and anguish I have felt today will take a very long time to forget. I almost wish I was not an Arsenal fan and supported the likes of Peterborough United. At least with those clubs the expectations are realistic where success is a bonus. We were outclassed, outplayed and humiliated across the park. Did this result honestly surprise any of you? This result almost flattered Arsenal as it could have been double figures for United. Arsene Wenger has yet again failed tactically to deliver some kind of performance from the Arsenal.
After the defeat to Liverpool, Wenger stated “trust my judgement!” A bold and defiant statement which will never be respected by any fan that knows anything about football. Even as a UEFA B qualified football coach I organise my lads much better than he does at the back. In Wenger I have lost my trust for his judgement as he promises one thing and yet delivers the latter. Injuries, suspensions, departures and red cards are something that affects all top clubs, but it is something that is used a scapegoat for consistent failures. Manchester United had their first choice centre-half pairing out along with other key personnel; including Valencia, Berbatov, Carrick and Fletcher. Manchester United had young players like Jones, Smalling and Cleverly who helped them batter the Arsenal.
The point I am making is that Manchester United have a two top players in every position. We have barely one player in every position as it showed today against a weakened United side. Okay Jenkinson was terrible and he had no support from the rest of the defence. Eboue is far more experienced and talented than young Jenkinson and yet we sold him. Traore has had his chances to deliver and he failed years ago and yet he is our second choice left back. Djourou is hit and miss and today was at fault for most of the goals. Koscielny didn’t have the best of times but he is does okay with better defenders alongside him. Cockawho? Enough said over that lads performance!
Ramsey is a replacement for Fabregas my backside. The lad is talented but has no one to learn from. He will never be as good as Fabregas as his pass success ratio was abysmal. Rosicky does okay but he is more of a squad player. Arshavin had another terrible performance in an Arsenal shirt. How can this world class footballer lack so much composure, desire and suffer through poor work rate. He is another Wenger flop but he is one of the best players we have. Says something about our terrible squad! Walcott and RVP are top class but two players cannot win a game by themselves. Arsenal has lost their right to be called challengers as next season I guarantee we will be lucky to finish sixth. This season was supposed to the rejuvenation of the failure from last season. We crumbled at the end of last season and the statistics do not lie.
How on earth can Wenger claim that we have quality when the signings he has acquired are not anywhere nearly capable to improve the situation? We lose Clichy, Eboue, Fabregas and Nasri who have been core players for us over the years. We have made a tremendous transfer profit once again and yet we still see not substantial investment in the squad. We were promised an active and busy summer which has seen us demise even further into the abyss. If you travel to La Liga Malaga have spent well over £50Million on several high profile players. They do not have the vast array of resources we have and yet they can spend the money to improve the squad. Average clubs like Roma consistently outspend us with a revenue stream far less profitable than ours.
Wenger and the board are scum and deserve no support as of now. Since David Dein left we have not purchased any quality players. What is wrong with Wenger? He manages one of the best clubs in world football and he cannot even attract the Cahill’s of this world. A humiliating defeat which leaves us with one measly point after three games is the bitter truth. Arsenals consistent failure to win football matches boils down to a lack of quality, tactical diversity, squad balance and squad depth. The club is a very healthy financial position and yet the billionaire board members refuse to spend any significant money and increase the wage structure. This inhibits Arsenal and ultimately will make us a mid-table club struggling to fill the emirates. Arsenal needs five or six top players to provide the required level of experience and cover in key positions. We all know the areas that need significant strengthening and yet one of the most experienced football managers is blind to the seeing the truth.
All of you fans slated me at the end of last season by claiming he would spend money this summer. You are all wrong and your false optimism is eroded by the simplicity of the truth delivered by myself. Arsenal is a club in crisis and yet we have the resources to fix this! Well I hope the rumours of the imminent signing of the Korean captain are not true as this would be yet another joke signing done on the cheap. Arsene Wenger you deserve to be sacked and forgotten for the direction you have now taken this once great club! Love Arsenal, Hate Wenger!

Wenger has lost the tactical knowledge of basic football if you dont have quality and experience goes for player that have gutt to stomach the ball. After first half mouling/slaugter should have damage limitation tactic. He has lost it. Lost in his own delusional tactic. Sack him now and Sack him we must.

@adam kemp, u’re one of the worst arsenal fan i have come across, am sorry to say. To start with, when arsene wenger was negotiating about Asharvin, you people are the one that forced him to buy asharvin but now you are complaining saying a flop. Secondly, chamakh: i can remember arsenal fans on this website shouting on wenger to buy him quickly but thank God he came freely coz it could have been more painfull if we pay to buy him. Also, wenger bought kolscieny and fans are crying that wenger should have bought the spanish experience defender, he followed u people decision and buy squillaci, but squillaci forget to bring is experience from sevilla. I can remeber sometimes last season you fans were complaining about eboue, he sold him now but it is now a bad thing he does. In conclusion, all the players wenger brought to arsenal himself are never a flop compare to the one we managers on TV force him to buy. I will urge we arsenal fans to tell wenger to buy players but no suggesting players for him because we see them play well at another club. We are shouting cahill, jagielka e.t.c but how did we know they will fits in well into the arsenal team. Infact whenever i remeber eduardo da silva against everton, i hate jagelka. This time around, arsene wenger has lost the faith of most arsenal fans around the world. I wonder when the trophy jinx will be broken. Wenger can be replaced at arsenal and that is the bitter truth. There are proven and better coaches over the world who can do better than him. Let‘s not be illusioned by this man. Yes he has transformed arsenal and now his work is going down the drain. Adam, fans have been against your anti-wenger antics but i hope they will succumb to your arguments now. I still feel pain over the last result. 8-2? Oh God!!! I hope we set a record on man utd that will help cover that shame in the nearest future.

Wenger always thinks that he has the best philosophy in football since we won the untouchable season. He thinks he is still the man who can conquer football with his philosophy. Fuck that!!
We are playing the now generation of football, which has changed the style of 2003′s football.
If Wenger stays reluctant to hear what the fans say, I believe we will never win any trophy again until one day, Wenger leaves Arsenal after an angel comes to the board and sack him.
The board are sit buy greedy people like Kroenke and that bald hypocrite Gazidis. This is the part we have to change. This is the main reason that makes us who we are today, poor fans who prefer to stay home to avoid publc embarrassment.
Somebody, quite wealthy one, who loves and understand football, MUST buy shares bigger than Kroenke’s. That’s the only way I think will work on this case.
Yesterday’s result was a heartbreaking show, but that’s what gave us lesson to fight for a club we love.

wow, Any true Arsenal fans here, How can we sack this man, if we did he will only go and win trophies with another club, he is obviously working under some financial restrictions so maybe the board is to be blamed but come on, For those of us old enough to remember what we were like before Wenger turned up its a no-brainer, This is the most succesfull manager in our clubs history, I think you should be ashamed of yourselves, I for one am yes disappointed but sack him? replaced with?, I dont think so, Keep the faith and we will be rewarded, ARSENAL FOREVER,,,,,,

What a load of shit. Sack Wenger? Have you lost it? There’s no denying we are in a terrible position. We have a weak team that seems unlikely to be improved by new signings and, yes, you may be right about our chances of finishing 6th.
But sacking Wenger would be the worst decision we could make right now. Who would we bring in to replace him? Who would WANT to replace him? The man has been with us for 15 years and brought the team from midtable mediocrity to title challengers. He helped stabilise the club financially and established his legacy with the Emirates Stadium. Those are some pretty big shoes to fill.
But you’re right. Who cares about all that? We lost a game by a big scoreline so lets sack the manager! Let’s sack the board! Let’s sack the players too and demolish the stadium! We can just have Theo running around Regent’s Park for a couple of hours every weekend. That’ll be fun, right?

Wenger should be commended for his past and be celebrated for all he has acheived for the club. The board should in the interest of the club and fan all over the world start looking fo a replacement for Wenger. Football is a flexible game that requeires a pragmatic approach and not too dogmatic in reasoning and tactic as Wenger. 15 years at arsenal worth celebration, he should be retired before greater humiliation that could mess his record and that of the club…..thanks Joe.

As an outsider, but a well-wisher of the Arsenal, you don’t need me to say that the scoreline on Black Saturday was, in fact, flattering to the Gunners. But as bad as it was, it should be viewed against a broader backdrop of a certain person’s inability to get the most out of his players. Arsene Wenger’s continued tenure of this one-time prestigious club, and his support amongst a diminishing band of Arsenal fans who hold him in high esteem, is firmly embedded in the fertile ground of yesteryear. This embracement of the past by those with an entrenchment mentality is holding your club back! Long-suffering Arsenal fans with a view to the future deserve better than to be intravenously fed with a tired old history lesson. To be sure, Wenger had his successes as a manager and a player, and a nicer man you couldn’t with to meet; but who would suggest he is still fit to play for Strasbourg? Or to continue to develop an admirable playing strategy in others? Bill Shankly, Matt Busby and Bertie Mee all had their day; but, you know, there comes a time when you realise that, in order to move onwards and upwards, you have to ring in the changes.
