Much is to admire for Wenger and his fifteen years in charge of Arsenal. Well, maybe only the first decade was where he was a true legend! Wenger has allowed this team to weaken season after season by selling top players without replacing them. I thought our defence was bad last season but this season’s lack of cohesion in our defence is relegation quality. Okay, Arsenal has notoriously had a gulf in class over our North London counterparts. It is a disgrace that Arsenal FC can lose three league games in a row to an inferior rival. Everyone associated with Arsenal should be embarrassed about the lack of steel and solidity in the team. On a day the bookies favoured Spurs to win, proved that the gulf between the clubs has all but extinguished.
Take yourselves back to the start of the Premier League and assess the quality that Arsenal has brought to football. We had a formidable defence which enabled an inexperienced Arsene Wenger to build several formidable teams. Arsenal and Manchester United were the top two teams in the land for years until the influx of the billionaire sugar daddies. We were at the top, world class players, younger players stepping up, brand new stadium and winning trophies. Then Wenger decided that he wants to reduce the debt so drastically that we will become a feeder club. Our stadium debt is now down to £90million from £390million in little under four seasons. There is no need to make that many overpayments of the loan just to decrease further interest; when you are losing the quality in your team.

Arsenal has a squad filled with good players but lack the special players that we are so accustomed to watching. I cannot comprehend how and why Wenger has been allowed to weaken this club. Our form since February is become consistently terrible. We watched Arsenal crash and burn last season where we were laughed out of every trophy. Arsene Wenger promised us a big summer and yet we lost two out the three world class players we possessed. Instead of shopping in Marks and Spencers for reinforcements we picked up some out of date crap in Aldi. The logic of Wenger is dumbfounding when we actually are one of the wealthiest clubs on the planet.
Fergie managed to keep United a force in the emergence of the other challengers, where Wenger has just watched those teams progress ahead of ours. Spurs bought some top players over the years for modest fees like Modric, Van Der Vaart and Parker. Why oh why did we not buy these players and allow an inferior footballing club to snap them up. Instead we kept faith in Diaby and Denilson. Wenger was a true Arsenal legend however; he is now becoming the catalyst destroying the tradition and culture of this great club.
Losing to Manchester United, Chelsea or Liverpool is acceptable as they are big clubs as well. But losing to Tottenham Hotspur is something I cannot accept. They are based in one of the most economically deprived and crime ridden areas of London. They have a tiny ground and no recent tradition. They do not have the resources, fan base and history we have. It is a disgrace that we have lost three times in a row to them in the league. Today was a big MUST WIN game, but this frail Arsenal team couldn’t defend. We are vulnerable to conceding the softest of goals and we do not even have the players to play the Arsenal way anymore. The identity of Arsenal is being eroded into the fabric of history where Wenger has lost the plot. This man has lost all my respect as his latest defensive signing is slow and sloppy like the rest of them.

I remember the days when we went into London Derby’s and I was looking forward to beating our rivals. Not anymore. The tide is unfortunately changing. Players who could win us these games who showed the passion we needed like Adams, Vieira and Henry are just simply are a distant memory.
Today, Scott Parker showed what our players are desperately missing. He showed the passion, determination and the want to win attitude that we fail to show when the going gets tough. Our midfield consisted of a 20 year old who although was possibly our best player, shouldn’t have had that weight put on his shoulders in such a big game.
Its such a shame, I’m gutted about this result. But maybe its time we realised that this is going to be a very long season and we need a complete clearout. Players like Arshavin, Chamackh and these players who just simply aren’t good enough or don’t want to be there need to go. And as for the manager, he needs to think about where this club is really going, because we are going backwards, and this club does not deserve that.

There’s a wise saying that goes…you gotta get right, or get left. AFC needs a new major shareholder (Kroenke MUST GO), a new board who are passionate about the club and want to start winning titles, therefore giving the manager adequate funds to buy the big names WE DESPERATELY NEED, and yes I will say it….A NEW MANAGER. AW’s formulas and strategies are old news, anyone who watches a few Arsenal games knows exactly what to expect. We need someone with fresh ideas. AW your expiry date is long overdue.
And to all you fans who disagree with my last statement, if we cannot beat teams like Liverfool, Spurs, United, Chelsea, BLACKBURN….why the hell should we think that by some miracle we will come right with what we have. We have had a defensive problem for 3 seasons. 3 SEASONS!! Am I the only one who sees the lack of managerial skills here?? Come on….I’m tired of backing a manager who has this attitude that he is always right. When Barca thrashed us last season, Wenger still pompously said that ‘we still have the best team in Europe.’ What a joke that man is. I’m telling you now the only reason they keep him around is because he keeps the books looking good. Last time I checked, football PRIMARILY was about passion and winning trophies, THEN the finances. If you are winning trophies and doing well, the finances NATURALLY look good. (Man United anyone!!??) AFC is putting themselves into a position where they will start losing money. While they still have the finances and things are looking good that side, invest in some world class signings. Win some trophies, keep the fans happy, generate an even bigger fan base and in turn ticket sales, merchandise etc etc will go up. It’s a win win and it’s not rocket science either.
The signings Chelsea, City, United, Spurs have made have proved to be worth every penny.

We keep being told to back the team and help them get out of this bad phase but when do we get the finished product?

It is painful loosing to Spur after what seems to be the best performance so far in the season.Their effort was far better than every other premier league game this season despite not winning.Gervino should have sealed the game with two clear chances created by R V P but he failed and we paid the ultimate price.Coquelin was fantastic and the keeper would have won the most valuable player but for the last goal he conceded.

we got a *** formation. Without good CM there is no point in playing with this formation. Arteta and Ramsey is not good enough to play for a top club. The only class players in our team are RVP, Jack and Schezny (sorry for spell)..and may be song. Not even a single club has won a trophy with single skriker. Please buy some players who can shoot!!! Was stunned with the shooting skills of Bale, Walker, Defoe, VV,,,,,, Don’t thinks we will be back to CL for another 2-3 yrs. Arsene will leave in January, so as RVP also. And again *** board will not be ready to break their salary structure or pay good transfer fee. Sad to see my club’s fall…

Sorry, but I cannot accept the premise that Wenger has year after year sold our best players. This season we had little choice with Fabregas who wanted to return home and his last season with us was not particularly notable. Nasri wouldn’t extend his contract and in any case was not a consistent performer and neither was Clichy.
I have a long memory of Henry, Bergkamp, Vieira, Flamini, Hleb etc all of whom left either to retire or at the end of their useful time at Arsenal. None of them shone in their final season at Arsenal and none was really missed in the season after their departure.
In fact I have to go back to the Kennedy and Stapleton years to recall any player who, after leaving Arsenal, really prospered thereafter.

Could someone list all competative results for 2011. Would make interesting reading and would highlight how far we have fallen.
Arsene is for some reason known as a great manager in the transfer market but for each Anelka there are plenty of denilsons.
Konscielny for 10m after 1 season in france
Arteta for a similar price
I’d have taken van de Vart for a few milion less the season before and convinced cesc and nasri we were signing world class players and kept them

There really is nothing new to say on the matter – Arsenal are absolutely dire and the Delusional Wenger is to blame. There will be no trophies AGAIN this season. Just more talk of ‘transfer targets’ mental strength, potential, young squad, blah blah……. We sign players that wouldn’t get into half our rivals squads and yet we expect trophies. Djourou?????? Chamakh??????? Even Stoke have shown more transfer ambition. Arsene Wenger should have been remembered as a legend. Why oh why didn’t Chamberlain at least make the subs bench, AW will say he is protecting the player but he’s got the drive we sadly lack. Walcott and Ramsey are failing to live up to their positive talk. Chamberlain would have been a far more positive player than Ramsey (despite his goal). Ramsey must have given the ball away more times than he made a decent forward pass, I’m afraid he hasn’t shown the promise he did before that injury. If “we played with the handbrake on” (according to Wenger)and for once he was right, then he has to shoulder the responsibility for a crap defence (again) and no real leadership or drive available. Only Song seemed as if he wanted to win the game. This is going to be a very, very long and miserable season and whoever Wenger signs will be to late and from the second rate French league. We need Cahill in Jan or else the Championship could be closer than we ever thought possible. Wake up Wenger and realise you’ve probably passed your sell by date, we need new experienced blood now not in 2, 3, 4, 5 years.

Lord knows Liverpool have been through this last year with Hodgson, so I feels you guys anger and what not. Truth is the coach picks the team, so whether you rust with or trust Wenger doesnt really matter. Results matter. I think Gooners have been patient long enough. and its not like Wenger didnt have time to find replacements for Nasri and Fab when everyone knew they wanted out LAST SEASON. You guys walked into this season with no replacements. Wengers fault. If you were winning it would look like a genius move to not buy, but you ain’t, so he’s effin up. And sadly there’s really nowhere for Arsene to hide. He better take your boys to boot camp or something otherwise all that tradition and history wont mean crap this season.

@ ken We have had defensive issues for 3 seasons now. IT IS STILL NOT FIXED. We have one of our midfielders make shifting defense for crying out loud. Half our players are injured and we have no decent substitutes for Vermalaen, Wilshere etc. We had the money to buy decent players last transfer, yet we ended up rushing at the last second to get a b version of fabregas (no offense Arteta) and a player who after 2 games got injured. we spent 12m on Ox, he had a brilliant game last week and Wenger decides to play Walnut instead. Any chump can see Ox is dying to play and passionate to win. Walcott is way too inconsistent. Same with Ramsey…I would have rather played Frimpong in midfield. My prediction was right, Ramsey is not cut out for this league. He is slow and made some terrible mistakes. Frimpong would have been a much better bet.
So countless managerial mistakes, even my girlfriend pointed has out and she doesn’t even watch football! So FFS Wenger do us all a favour and leave please. Take half the corrupt board with you.
Who will replace you? Anyone can do a better job quite honestly. Dennis Bergkamp would be a good start.

I am torn inside as to why our club has sunk to new depths.
I was thinking about it now and in actual fact the worst part of this whole saga is how Wenger has wasted the best years of some of his players. RVP for example. His footballing prime has nothing to show for it thanks to AW and his empty promises. He has stringed him and us fans along for years promising a youth project that when mature would dominate. He plan has failed miserably and players like RVP are left to lack back at the last 10 years of their footballing career and think WTF?? I just hope the same thing doesn’t happen to players like Wilshere and Ox. They deserve a better team to play in, a team guided by a manager who is passionate and wants to win.

The current Tottenham side is better than our side. You need to accept that. Arsenal will never win another trophy with the current owner, board,manager and backroom staff. You have to accept that. As for this season, the team will not finish in the European places. You have to accept that too. Simply put the club is in deep trouble and we need a Knight on a white horse in the form of a football loving, as opposed to profit loving,billionaire taking over and getting rid of the board , manager and backroom staff, that is starting afresh. All true Arsenal supporters should encourage the arrival of the knight on a white horse. That is the way I see it.

U need some bite in midfield what happened to frimpong, should have been in the team instead of ramsey who could not make a decent pass. Wenger, kroenke and board out. They are destroying the club we love. As someone said before never let a yank buy your club they will only destroy it. Usmanov should be majority shareholder because he wants to win and actually shows up at our games unlike kroenke who is just in it for a profit. Usmanov even offered to wipe our debt clear and provide transfer funds yet the board sell to kroenke.Board members are corrupt and have no passion for the club. Wenger must leave. No club in the world would tolerate 7 trophyless seasons, yet arsenal do because they are making a profit.

The premier league is over for us!
Only way to make into the ucl is winning it and that is very very unlikely since every player we should sign in january wouln’t be allowed to play. That if we even invest the due money during the transfer market.
All I know is that they may have save som 30 mill during the transfer window, and I don;t think they would make any profit of the players they sign so thats their first loss.
Then Fly emirates is happy with PSG, Real Madrid and Milan so that money probably won’t be too much.
Nike is already putting all they got into barcelona and manutd….
All we got is carslberg and I think they already gave their best…
Plus no UCL money, less premiership money…
So even in the business sence this is a huge failure!

Sagna broken leg – out for 3 months. I am genuinely sorry for the lad. I am also sorry for myself and other Arsenal supporters if that means that Jenkinson will be replacing him. Remember, there are still 31 games remaining in the season. We have a lot of players out as well which does not help. I think if we get 1-2 defenders, a all star mid and striker, I think we can make a serious run to the top the second half of the season. But if Wanger and Co. dont do any upgrades, we are looking at missing out of top 5 of Premiere League.

i would prefer having lansbury in that midfield rather than ramsey, 2 bad he’s loaned out.. coquelin n scz was good 2day.. i havent been a big fan of walcott, but 2day he was disappointing.. wenger should try playing arshavin as attacking midfield, at least he performed for Russia.. is miyaichi not fit? havent seen him play yet… he might be more effective than gervinho on the left wing

Its absurd, our club is being ran to the dogs by Wenger and a selfish and arrogant Board while we are there watching. Some of us have a tendacy of criticising the journalists and columnists whoever tend to point out the rot eating Arsenal. Whether they are telling the truth or not, time will tell.
Wenger and the Board claim that they are building the club into the right direction. To be honest with ourselves, is that true?. What is clear, they are simply pocketing profits without caring about fans’ intersts ie buying experienced players. Thats why whever a player develops he is sold at a massive profit and without appropriate replacement.
Arsenal has been overtaken in terms of player outlay by smaller teams eg Hotspurs. What resource base do Hotspurs have to eclipse Arsenal?.
