Adam Kemp – Why can’t Wenger motivate brilliant Arsenal players?
Woeful Gunners cannot even beat Southampton as our rivals extend the gap. by Adam Kemp
Arsenal may have won four games in a row in the Premier League however they have been far from convincing. We have ridden our luck recently and I am getting pig sick of these players failing to be consistent throughout the season. It took three dubious penalties against West Brom and Wigan, which certainly gifted us six points as we failed to create anything from open play. I have been saying all season we do not create enough chances consistently and today we failed to break down another team full of inferior players. It is unacceptable that a team like Tottenham can have thirty-four attempts against Reading and we can only muster one shot on target against a team of similar quality.
It upsets me to see a team like Manchester United effortlessly win games with a squad barely more accomplished than ours. Sir Alex Ferguson is a far more capable manager then Wenger and I honestly think if we swapped them over we would win the league. Manchester United should be our closest rivals and we are so far behind them and it really pains me to say so. If we still have Van Persie I know we would be so much closer to them than where we are. Wenger and the board are an utter disgrace as they are allowing this club to be battling it out with the likes of Tottenham for fourth place. For years we were miles apart as clubs and the gap has closed through our complacency in the transfer market.
Will Theo Walcott sign or not sign? To be honest he is not a world class forward yet and we are so desperate for goals we are begging for him to stay. We cannot even keep international class players at the club now and I see Sagna on his way out soon too. This is actually one player I actually wouldn’t mind seeing the back of as he has been terrible over the last few games. Against Newcastle Sagna looked disinterested and lacked the urgency and energy in his performance. He was at fault for all three goals and yet again he gifted Southampton the lead today. He looks like an unhappy player like so many disillusioned players over the years wishing to depart whilst sulking on the pitch.
I think Wenger cannot get the best out of his players as he buys reputable players and then after a season we are fed up with the signing. Arshavin was a top class footballer when he arrived and Wenger moved him out of position and now he just sits in the reserves earning c. £90,000 per week. Chamakh earns similar money and whilst he was prolific for Bordeaux he has failed to impress here. Santos displaced Marcelo in the Brazilian national team and has been well below par for us. Gervinho was class at Lille and has become a complete laughing stock at Arsenal. These players are indeed terrible for us but you have to ask why they were better under other managers in other teams? The answer to this enigma is that we buy players that do not tactically fit into our style of play. We need to shift these overpaid players on and revamp our wage structure to accommodate attracting world class players again.
Arsenal currently spends c. £147Million in wages (which is third highest in the league) and when you have the like of Tottenham spending c. £90Million on wages you have to really question the manager. It is very simple to fix! Stop this communist ideology that Wenger has imbedded in our wage structure! Pay the top players £100-£150K per week and your squad players £20-£40K per week like all top clubs do! Instead he likes to pay his team all £60-£90K per week and it has resulted in other clubs unwilling to buy the likes of Bendtner and Denilson. Arsenal is a corrupt corporation ripping off its loyal fans whilst failing to deliver consistent results on the pitch. Simples!
Today was another typical Arsenal performance where we were gifted a point by an own goal from Walcott’s deflected free kick. Although we have amassed thirteen points from a possible fifteen we only truly deserved six of them. Although I do not see us finishing mid table as first feared it is possible we may finish fifth this year. If Tottenham and Chelsea keep winning this is best we can hope for and it is unthinkable to finish behind those penny-pinching ***s! It is embarrassing to comprehend that a club with a smaller ground, smaller fan base, less revenue and weaker players can achieve more than us. Unless Wenger doesn’t shift the deadwood, sign Walcott and spend his well-publicized transfer kitty this January we will definitely struggle to get into the top four.
Even if we do displace Tottenham and finish fourth it is still unacceptable to be so far behind the other three clubs. Arsenal must now progress and move forward to become the force we once used to be! Can Wenger do it? I severely doubt it as he will only sign ‘special players’ like…..Gervinho LOL! Arsenal is at a crossroads and after eight seasons this is getting a little old like Wenger and his dictatorship! Let’s see if we can beat the mighty Swansea and stop Manchester City from playing attacking and incisive football!
Good luck Wenger and I sincerely hope you prove me wrong one day as I am fed up of criticizing you! Just start doing your job and build and title winning team! Bring on 2013 and all the drama that goes with it!

The difference came when David Dein left.
This is the man that bought Arsene Wenger to Arsenal even though Wenger was virtually unheard of.
Along with Wenger they bought home the Double twice and an unbeaten season.
He is also to thank for bringing players in such as Patrick Vieira, Emmanuel Petit, Marc Overmars, Thierry Henry, Davor Suker, Robert Pires, Sol Campbell, Gilberto, Gael Clichy, Kolo Toure, Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie.
He used to personally travel abroad to get these players, such as Henry from Italy. And along with the board, helped see through the vision and the move to the new stadium and new era of Arsenal life.
After leaving in 2007 i think Wenger has lacked that helping hand he used to have. Dein is a big Arsenal fan and had great passion and Wenger misses him dearly.
Either he or someone similar needs to come back or Maybe its time for a new Manager and new direction. What ever the case Arsenal’s future is still one of the brightest in the World, due to its stability and £3bn TV rights deal next season.
We will all have to have a bit of patients.

After thinking and pondering so hard I have come to a conclusion that Arsene Wenger is either a Man U fan or someone very close to him supports Man U since this is the only reason I can find as to why a logical person would sell his best player to a rival club and continue playing weaker teams, demotivating players and making the same old silly mistakes every now and then as the gap between us and Man u widens.

A very poor showing, with the majority of our players showing no desire to win that game. I could list a load of below par performances but I’ll highlight just a few. Podolski, looked like he wasn’t interested, Sagna looked as if he wished he
was somewhere else and Gerviho pretended that he could play. Can he not stand up? Does he have to fall down, every time a defender looks at him and does he still believe that the can swivel past opposing players. It’s difficult to know what to say, after a performance like that. Arsenal fans are not looking for the world, just consistency.

The premise of the so called ‘article’ is a joke, actually no manager in the prem or anywhere else has a better record for getting the best out of players. However, we can’t really argue against what they’re saying. We have to be honest and admit we’re miles behind the top 4. in years past, we would never accept 2nd best. We Gooners are forced to lower our expectations. It makes me sick.

This proves to you how mean other teams are in selling their players. Barcelona in a different league would not want to sell and idle striker so that Arsenal is not successful.
Even Man U after getting Van Persie would not want to sell Nani because Arsenal would benefit even if they are in financial crisis.
Chelsea would not want to sell Lampard to Arsenal but they want Walcott from Arsenal.
It is a very distorted market, these clubs could be running in losses or getting money from others sources.

I agree with most except the part of Spuds players worse than ours. I think their team is pretty good. Arsenal wanted Defoue, Adebayour ex Arsenal, Lennon is better than any winger we have, Bale is world class no matter how much we hate him, Dempsey was rated by all and wanted by Arsenal fans, Dembele looked great at Fulham, there’s rumors we and Chelsea are in for Assou Ekotto, Wenger praised Walker’s play, we wanted Vertoghen, Gallas is an ex Arsenal player and we were in the race for Loris’s signature.
So the rubbish players there were either ex Arsenal players or turned us down for the Spuds.

Look out! The predictability of this site and Kemp’s timing is like watching a hopeless Hollywood romantic comedy. When Wenger leaves Arsenal, the same culpable finger will be aimed at the new manager. Instead of logical reasoning and understanding such articles are just simply posted to generate rival and attention among fans. The biggest fools are apparently supposed to be us, the people that really care and love the club. Well done to admin and co, they have done it again. Kemp is just a pseudonym for attention purposes. Admin has branded his name to the site. The bigger fools are the ones that actually support these views because it’s always easy to bicker and whinge, than it is to analyse the overall cirumstances. There’s a bigger picture and money is always the attraction behind the justarsenal.com curtain. More viewers/readers equals more support and promotional opportunities to the operator. It’s actually petty business in my opinion. Respect to the love that goes behind it for the club, but there’s no respect using the club as a means of generating profit!

Arsenal has to buy very fast before we face other teams. Carzola is surely fatigued and should be rested in FA cup. Play Jenkinson to give Sagna competition.
Buy a left back for Gibbs so that he can improve on accuracy of his crosses; buy defensive midfielder for Arteta; buy Zaha for OX and Podoslki; Buy quality striker for Walcott/Giroud.
This will complement these players and make them rest in some games. This works very well for Man U where key players are rested because there are equally good substitutes.

Be careful guys what you wish for. One thing is for sure. Wenger is still the best man for arsenal. All said and done. There is something wrong with Arsenal, i Call it the “player decsion making concept and a winning attitude”
Have you seen Cazola lately holding the ball uneccessarily? Why must a mid fielder move with the ball for two three metres when there are open players to receive the ball? Its not only Carzola aven artetta. Well Theo is seen to be doing well because he more than often makes the right decisions with the ball. The problem is who is to teach already established players how lonng they should be with the ball? Secondly our players have a bad attitude. Its almost as if they are protesting about something! they dont seem to have the want it badly mentality. They play as if they are on training ground. They do not close in placers and just run and Jog around them. Its so annoying.
Wenger, how about getting Henry into your management circle, he can mortivate the young players. One thing is for sure, You need a strong, efficient and risk taking mid fielder and offcourse a striker in the league of Falcao or Cavani. That is the only way of ensring silver ware next season or May be, Just may be this season. I love Arsenal so dearly, but im tired of watching miserable games week after week. The only game we played well was the New Castle game but we still let in 3 goals. Whats wrong with us? We are a joke, everybody loughs at us.

Was Arsene Wenger engaged by Arsenal to manage a football team or,to build a football stadium ? If it was the latter
he made a good job,but by doing it,he ruined a great side,he sold all the great players he had for big money to
subsidize the cost of the stadium, and keep the directors happy, “THAT’S WHY HE WILL NEVER BE SACKED,HE’S ALWAYS BEEN A YES MAN”.So what are we left with, “A MAGNIFICENT
STADIUM AND FACILITIES,BUT A CRAP THIRD RATE FOOTBALL TEAM
AND 60,000 DISAPPOINTED FANS,WENGER OUT,BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE”.

Its our lack of inspiration on the field that is the problem. Leadership, composure and expeiriance is lacking in many areas around the squad. Two of our most expeirianced players of whom have been at the club for longer than most players are injury prone in Diaby and Rosicky, our captain is not a captain and we lack composure everywhere. We have the best midfield trio in the prem in my opinion but it is those around them that let the down. We’re not winning the ball back quick enough meaning Arteta isn’t doing the job in which we need him to do more efficiently. It just seems like our squad is all over the place at the moment. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think Vermaelen or Koscialny have to be sold so that we can bring a quality defender of whom is a born leader.

Tho i h8 ur perfectly timed doom-speaking and anti-wenger articles, i hv 2 say dat this article has some sense. I don’t agree that ANY player we have is below average (even squillaci, denilson, vela>chicharito); the problem seems 2b tactics and motivation.
For me, Wenger has been one of d worst managers dis season. At times I don’t knw if he actually does it on purpose like wen he said he knows dat playing yungins cld mean sacrificing results. I wonder wat cld be going on in d nutty professor’s head dat is causing all dis, bcos I still believe in Wenger.
Dis yr there’s been no real xcuse like injuries or gettin unfair results(infact refs hv even given us pts dat we neva deserved).
We’ve neva played dis bad; 2 seasons ago, we always dominated games n created many chances but our downfall was complacency wit d chances and bad luck wit injuries n refs.
I don’t knw but dis is d worst Arsenal i’ve eva seen, no player seems to be up 4 it. When I say Arsenal I don’t only refer to d players, but the style of play, d manager and d mothaf*ckin board.
Answers:
1. AW was/is a fake and d main brain was Pat Rice.
2. Nemesis has finally caught up wit Arsene n Arsenal for tryin 2b 2 smart.

Until the Day comes that David Dein walks back through the doors at Arsenal we will always be a second rate team with good players but not world class ,a few years ago we probably had 4-5 world class plass in our team and it always attracted more to want to play for Arsenal,Bergkamp,Henry,Pires ,Gilberto,Vieira,Seaman. What’s happened now? how many World class do we have ,we had Two or three very good players Fabragas,Nasri,Song, and one world Class Van-Persie and look what happened to them,If David Dein were still with the club that would never have happened because we would have been winning thins and still be attracting the best players and paying the players the fair income that some command ,I do not blame Wenger for what is going on at the Emirates I blame Grazidies and that Kroenke the quicker those two Muppets leave the better the Club will breath ,David Dein back in the Helm and Usmanov our backer, what a dream !!!! But I guess one day this Dream will come true, sooner rather then later.

To look at the past success and the current stalemate of the team, it gives an impression, though looks unbelievable and unreasonable, but it can very much be the sour truth, which is that Wenger used to depend on well established players who can manage themselves and can work on the pitch as a group with no need of outside intervention and can cope with the dynamics of the game by themselves, as that team contained five of the French world cup wining team, plus, Bergkamp, adams, Lujnberg, Parolour, and so on, so when that team disintegrated through departures and retirements. Wenger has so far failed to build another team, first because his heavy and even discriminatory dependence on French football is no longer fruitful as it is on a dip, and second the low wages and expenditure deters other star players from coming to Arsenal. The other important point is the retirement of Rice as the current team is, on paper , stronger than last season’s, yet the results and performance is worse ( with all due respect to Bould as he will become a very successful coach and manager, but it needs some time ) while the only significant change is the retirement of Rice . From that it can be concluded that Wenger has never been a capable manager but a good businessman who can culminate other capabilities to look like his. Simply look to his substitutions , which has always been predictable and late in timing, also frustrating to certain players even if they play well, while others are untouchables even when they are at their worst performance, just like Sagna against Southampton .
So whether that is true or not, there are two points which is Wenger has so far been stumbling in the hope of delivering the required success , while the other is that he is replaceable, and not necessary by a big name for he in the fist place came from obscurity or at least was not well known so therew are others unknown (Wengers) , and secondly the most sought after manager ( guardiola ) was promoted from being a youth coach, so may Bould, Banfield, Rice can replace Wenger and be successful, or other managers from the premiership or even the lower divisions can prove to be a successful choice.

I have wondered time and time again how we can put on displays like we did against Newcastle and Spuds and yet we lose to teams like Southampton & Norwich. We seem to totally forget how to play when we travel. Wenger needs to stop mollycoddling these players and tear into them! You have to demand more and if you’re not getting it hold them accountable. Hell, Mourinho benched Iker Casillas, one of the best goalies in the world just to get a change in the results that Real are getting lately. Iker hadn’t missed a start for Real in 10+ years and we’ve got players like Gervinho who come on and don’t look like they’re playing football at all.
We’ve got Swans in the FA cup and then we’ve got Man Citeh and Chelsea back to back. Without any positive news on the transfer front or Theo signing this Jan looks to be a very bleak month!

I am a london born and raised, life long arsenal fan, i read most of the blogs on this site and ive watched this anti adam kemp comments pour in for many months, but i think he is completly correct.
the problem is 100% the manager, look at teams like swansea, many would agree we have better technically gifted players than everton, west brom, swansea, stoke and yet this are the teams we are in comparasion with in the league table, this is because the players in their teams want it more, they are more fired up.
and that is a failing of the manager; carzola, wilshire, walcott, podolski, song, sagna vermaelen these are top players which would be a welcome addition to most top teams squads.
the problem is the manager not getting the team to gel and to be confident together, the glory days of arsenal was the beautiful one touch football, sexy football, it was a pleasure to watch them even if we didnt win. now every game is a sorry scrape by filled with mistakes and low ambition, the team has lost its spark, the players dont look excited to play, the team spirit looks broken.
of course we should make purchases in janurary we have allways suffered from poor squad depth, but even 2 or 3 big names wont change the rot which has set in. we all thought carzola, podolski, giroud would change things 3 big names, seasoned pros. but their affect was short lived, the team just looks down, looks broken, we are in a rut an 8 year rut, new players wont change it, it needs a fresh approach a manager who will shout at them and install fire in there bellys not frown and say he is disappointed like a weak willed supply teacher, he needs to go because there isnt a light at the end of the tunnel

My view is the problem of on pitch motivation. When bad goals against us are scored There is no leadership from the main men. Sagna was awful yesterday and no one Kicked his arse. Nor was he brought off the pitch and replaced byour best defender of the season to date Jenkinson. We are in desperate need of leadership, defensive midfield (M’villa) and a proper striker to go with different systems. All these team play us knowing we have other system we can play and are easy to pick off. (even poorer teams find it easy and thats a sad truth). Our defence are a joke with no positional sense and don’t get me started again on zonal marking. None of our defenders win the ball in the air from long ball games as we are never close enough to the main striker to make a challenge. We also have no midfield when the other side have the ball so they find a pass far too easy. This comes down again to tactics (wenger) And true leadership Vermalon and Arteta.
Adams and Viera would have self combusted at the lack of effort and fitness and workrate in this team. I hate having a go at my team but this team don’t even have the flowing game we are used to even when we lose games

I dont care who you are you can’t sell your best players and expect to improve or stay the same this inconsistency is here to stay for the season. We might beat mancity and look good and get excited the next time we play bottom side look bad. To think there is an article on this blog talking about us beating Bayern is crazy I mean look at their starting eleven and compare objectively to beat them we will need the luck of Chelski.

Totally agree with the article mate. Don’t be put off by the deluded twats who choose to overlook the points mentioned, probably the same people praising Gervinho as a world class striker not too long ago. I cannot believe just how immune some fans have become to accepting criticism, and then they cry and moan about why things never improve. They have been indoctrinated to the core, and is why their loyalties will keep being exploited time after time.
Guys where’s that money that we we’re promised from Ashbourton Groove? What happened to holding onto RVP regardless of whether he signs or not-it’s like watching your best mate shag your girlfriend every Saturday night, but who cares right lets move on, its not like its going happen again, right!
I’m sick of the lies and politics aren’t you? It’s about time people started waking up before its too late. To all those who think that we’re going to be a force in years to come and hang on every word our CEO says -Do some ******* research outside what your told at every AGM, and it won’t take long for you to realize that we are all being treated as mugs.
There are so many reasons to doubt the integrity and true motivations behind those who own and control the club, and if Nina Bracewell’s recent comments don’t register, then quite frankly, you deserve to be rinsed.
The number one thing that really pisses me of the most is the fans that leap to the defense of the club’s ‘long term shareholder wealth maximization plan’ by using the Malaga and Rangers as going concern threat examples. Putting it simply, we do not share the same levels of risk. It’s a bit like comparing Tesco’s to Lidle.
There are so many things wrong with the way the club is run right now both from an ethical and economic perspective and I’m amazed at how an organization of Arsenal’s size can get away with this, but then when i read the replies it’s easy to see why.

Such a predictable, boring, repetitive article.
The one thing that makes me so annoyed is the guys who say we keep selling our best players..what crap!!
Pursey told Arsenal he would not sign a new contract and he wanted to join Manure…we offered him a signing on fee of £5million and £150,000 a week but he refused it…that’s not Arsenal selling him, thats him deciding to go.
Just like Clichy, Na$$ri, Adebuyme,
If the club wanted to sell them they wouldnt have offered them pay rises.
Arsenal tried to tie Pursey down for over two seasons, but he would not commit to the club.
Now then, if you are going to blame anyone, blame the Judases above!!
Arsene planned a team that had these players in it, but they left..so he has to rebuild…and this happens every time one of these ar**holes let the club, manager and supporters down.
You say “imagine what our team would be like if they had stayed”…well that was what Arsene had planned as well.
It was these players who let us down.
We all knew Pursey was a world class player but remember how he got to that level? Arsenal F.C. thats how!!!
So stop being a Adam Kemp (doesnt even exist) type moron and think it through…then you might just be able to call yourselves true gooners.

Adam is right.
The article is predictable and repetitive because the team is not performing.
What do you want him to write? that we were brillant and their keeper was the man of the match?
RVP was right to go and so were the others.
All of you that slag them off will go to work this year hoping for better working conditions and prospects.
If the opportunity comes along to move and better yourselves, how many would turn it down to stay loyal to your line manager?
This head in the sand mentality only makes Wenger and the board’s position more secure.
Adam has not lied. We are supposed to respect honesty.

The board don’t make Wenger bring on Gervinho and Ramsey when we need to win an leave Rosicky on the bench. They doidn’t force him to buy Park,Chamakh and Squillaci. They didn’t make him re-sign Yohan Djorou last season, they dont make him play the same formation every season for the last 4 years using the same tactics. The board didn’t try an convince us that Denilson was world-class,the board didn’t say Giroud was bought to play WITH RVP, then say he was bought to replace him as soon as RVP was sold. The board aren’t the one using he same predictable substitutions each match 75min i know i’ll bring on RAmbo!
But you know who did.

When did i call anyone loyal twats? Your misunderstanding loyalty for indoctrination which is what I was referring to. I’d be more then happy to apply the term ‘indoctrinated twats’, if this helps. Anyone who disagrees with EVERY SINGLE POINT in this article surely needs to open their eyes a little bit more, and learn something new outside the realms of the club’s annual report. This does not make you disloyal, but it sure as hell makes you indoctrinated if you are not prepared to do so.

They paid their money.
The board and Wenger choose to keep our money in the bank and watch the team decline but people like you choose to throw insults at other fans instead.
when you pay your money you have the right to be judgemental.
Are you one of those fans that thinks Usmanov should mind his own business as well? while we are inspiring the team what is the manager doing?
Your venom and name calling is aimed at the wrong target.
How would you react if the board described all of us like that?
Maybe they already do.

Kemp writes articles without any perspective or context, in this way he’s a perfect British football journalist.
Arsene loves the club, he’s stayed inspire of getting offered more money and greater prospects. He hoped that his players would show him the loyalty he has shown them and the club. But they haven’t, we’ve lost big players and that is a shock to the system, it’ll take time but we will get back. On the other hand, there’s the financial constraints. Spurs, Everton, stoke, they’ve all spent more money than us, Wenger has kept us ner the top with a bottom 5 budget! These things are a little difficult to understand but I’d expect more from Arsenal fans than to be whipped up in to self-inflicted wounds by this sort of nonsense.

As usual the wenger defenders come out in force and say what a great record he has for getting the best out of players. Maybe 10 years ago he got the best out of some of them but stop putting forward names like Henry and Fabregas to suggest wenger is a genius.
Henry was a world cup winner prior to arriving at Arsenal. He was far from an unknown and I don’t think Wenger was the only one to see he had a lot more potential.
The same for fabregas, a product of the Barcelona youth system is hardly going to be a failure now is he.
A truely great manager doesnt just buy good players to start with he develops them from scratch. We have developed GIBBS! Southampton found Walcott and the OX
Years ago Arsene brought some more unknown players and made them into an excellent squad, players like Lauren who reached far more than their potential.
Henry was destined for greatness, getting the most out of Ljungberg was more of an achievement. A man with nowhere near the natural ability but what a player none the less.
Arsene also used to sign experienced proven players, world cup winners like Henry, Pires and Wiltord, World cup golden boots like SUKER and players with significant experience to support the youngsters.
Then something changed, the EGO took over. Every player now has to be converted from one position to another.
Arshavin was always a player made to play in the hole, Arsene ruined him playing him as a winger.
Walcott was never a winger
Ateta hasn’t been a DM for years
Rosicky isn’t a winger
Denilson isn’t a holding player
Bendtner was never ever a winger
Podolski isn’t a winger
Ramsey isn’t a winger
Just because it worked for a few players doesn’t mean it will work always. Wenger would love the credit for recreating players but its selfish and short sighted given how much damage it is doing to our team

Henry was never destined for greatness, he was languishing in a Juve team that didn’t want him.
Just see what Thierry himself has to say about his career, and how he owes it to one man. Henry was talented, but only Wenger saw what that talent was.
He is a genius not because he reared Cesc, but because Wenger/his scouting team saw the ability Cesc had before anyone else.
Our youth set up is one of the best in world, and that is all down to one man and his support team.
How good is Fergie at bringing up players, or signing decent players for less than 10mil?
This is what bothers me about Arsenal fans. We all may have different opinions – which is brilliant. But for you to take everything his done and rubbish it is a joke. He has his problems as a manager, but what you’ve chosen to highlight are his biggest strengths.
This club is heading for civil war, and its already starting on the terraces.

You need to stop living in the past and start judging people on recent achievements. It’s 2 Jan 2013 and we’re 18 points behind Man Utd, 18 points! It’s going to be eight years since we won a trophy. This is clearly not a big deal for you. You don’t blame Wenger,ok, i can understand that. But then you don’t blame Kroenke neither. Who’s to blame? i’d be really interested to find out where you see our problems lie, i really would,or perhaps there aren’t any problems in the first place. Lets just put it down to market forces- it’s a lot simpler that way, right?

I’ve heard it all before, out of curiosity where was adam kemp when we were winning games recently, he only shows up after a negative result/performance with his usual personal barbs towards wenger, its all rather childish and I can’t take him seriously, for example I can’t say I agree with everything terence norman says but I can respect that that is his opinion as it doesn’t come across as some sort of juvenile vendetta against wenger, come on adam its all getting a bit tedious now

History repeats itself, first as tragecy, then as farce as someone said. And now that we are in what, the fifth or more years of hopelesness, what’s to do? You can only change what you can change – no-one can change to board, the board can change manager and the manager can change players. At the lowest level of authority can we say that we have bought and sold well? That and consequent results are the responsibility of one person. I would hope that any of us, placed in a position of authority, would say give me the resources to do my job or I walk – not walking is an acknowledgement that you have the support of the board. This is the managers team – no-one elses. Forget the biannual distractions about the fantastic new signings which never come to fruition, the salary cap, the inability to ditch redundant players and the impossibility of finding a replacement manager – there’s just one question that has to be answered. How soon?

To me kroenke is an irrelevance, and besides we have no other acceptable option. I don’t want Usmanov anywhere near the club. If say someone like Richard Branson wanted to get involved, then yes the question of Kroenke could come up – just not Usmanov
I blame the players, the manager and the fans. The players all too often don’t give 110% – the manager is stubborn – and us fans are a joke, we act as if we have a divine right to win things.
But I honestly don’t think anyone could have kept us fighting for titles (yes we haven’t won them, but like 2008 we had a chance).
Also players like Santi, Jack, Pod, TV5 and Per – our ‘better’ players, probably wouldn’t have signed if it wasn’t for Arsene.
It is a big deal for me not to win trophies – the amount of money I spend going to games is a joke, but I want what I feel is best for the club. Not me as a fan.

From a team where the opponent needed to park a bus in front of the goal to a team where the opponent don’t mind letting us having the ball, can anyone see how much had changed over the years?
Last time, we were always told that due to the new stadium there is no money to invest. But that time everyone was calm because we still have Henry, Bergkamp, Vieira, Pires, Sol Campbell etc. But today who is our Henry? Well, RVP might be, but wait, he is wearing a red devil jersey. Who is our Bergkamp? Although Arteta, Carzola and Arshavin (the one used to be good), but I still think Bergkamp is a class higher at the moment. And here comes the best of all, who is Vieira today? Arteta? Are you kidding me?
Not only we failed to replace them, but we brought in lots of rubbish, earning salary that I don’t think anyone of us here earning by just sitting on the bench or enjoying reserve football with the kids. Adam, I like your words on communist wages structure. To Arsenal board, sorry, I can’t respect that kind of funny structure and even in Russia or China today, the one that can perform, earn what they deserved. But the most important thing is, even your own players cannot agree on that. Ask yourself, just for the sake to work for your dream come true company, are you willing to go out, get screw by the customer, work on extra on weekend, travel on many business trips and missed your family just to get the same salary with your colleague who everyday leave the office sharp on time, can have a nice evening by playing some sports, having dinner with friends or enjoy a nice movie? We are living in a result oriented world if you still don’t know. Kronke, you have the same flat salary scheme in all your companies?
My guess for Adrian Lopez’s deal is we will miss out on this guy. I can see we are making another similar mistake like how we screw up the Juan Mata’s deal. It is simple, the release clause is 14 million, but we are so stubborn to stick to what we think is fair and wanted other people to respect how we valued a player. Now the thing is very simple, don’t pay what people wanted, don’t get the player.
We need a proven striker badly and I really mean that. Giroud, Gervinho and Chamakh were good from where they came from but I don’t think they are fitting into our system well. If Wenger wants to keep these, then some other players will have to leave. At the moment, I can see the all the fingers are not working well together. Then we need a DCM and a left back. From there, we see how things move before making the next decision but if we don’t do anything now, missing the CL spot can only mean a tougher time to rectify the problem in summer transfer windows because no players hate to play CL.
Get rid of Squilacci, Ramsey, Djourou, Fabianski, Chamakh, Arshavin, Bendtner, Denilson, Andre Santos, Park, Gervinho and if necessary, Rosicky as well.
Defence, defence and defence. 1st thing, do not conceed a goal. Anyone here think Evans is good player? At least not me. Rafael better than Sagna? Ferdinand better than Vermaleen? The only thing that we are sure about MU back 4 today is Evra is still better than Gibss. But MU’s defence looks more solid than ours. Whichs means, our defenders are performing worse than Evans the own goal scorer.
Next is we are still so stubborn to rely fully on youth development. How many youth we can develop? Even if we bring in 1000 players today, how many can really make it to the main squad? And if Barcelona needs to buy established players and cannot rely on development itself, who are we to say that our academy is a class higher than Barcelona when we even bought Fabregas and Fran Merida from them?
Lastly, get Dein back. We always want to bring in young and undiscovered talent, who else is better to do this? After Dein left, had we able to do it correctly? I think everyone knows the answer because we had bring in lots of deadwoods to occupy our wages. Bring back Dein then in the midfield, you don’t mind playing either Vieira, Gilberto, Edu or Fabregas but at the moment, we don’t have such luxury.

Oh, just before I forgot 1 more thing, pray hard that:
1. we won’t conceed a goal
2. we will get a penalty
3. we will get an own goal as a gift from the opponent
4. forever we will not conceed a penalty
5. Carzola and Arteta won’t get injured
6. other clubs will sit and wait for us to grab the talented players in the market with the price we want (I wonder who is the buyer and who is the seller)
7. RVP will stop scoring goals instead of firing MU to a treble this season
8. other clubs who we sold our players to such as Barcelona, MU and MC will be extremely nice to us when we want their players
9. Walcott will sign the contract on whatever we giving him because we expect him to respect our wages structure as some of his salary was giving to Chamakh to sit on the bench to scare the hell out of the opponents’ defence
10. all fans will continue to buy the ticket and merchandise, all the TV subscription will increase. If not, due to insufficient bonus and increment, the management will cut the transfer budget.
May God save us!
