Alie: Wenger needs to wake up and keep Sami Nasri!

Posted on June 30, 2011 by admin

My letter to Arsenal by Alie Bao (who also sent this to the official Arsenal website!)

Samir Nasri is a fine character and can become a world class player, on the proviso that he maintains patience and courage at Arsenal. The only true alternative he has is Barcelona, simply because Barcelona’s style befits his character and composure on the field.

Nasri should understand clearly that a club like Arsenal wouldn’t want to run year in year out without trophies, but if this is what our situation calls for now, is what we should accept and find a resolution for the next season.

“Don’t be fooled Nasri you still have a lot more to prove in the field of play, you are still not an accomplished character’’. The current scenario represents what Nasri really feels for Arsenal.

However, if Arsenal too want to be considered as a serious contender for next season’s Premier League, the executive should also be seen to be making progress in their bid for serious players, it would be heart rendering if Arsenal fails to land hard-core and mega-stars at the Emirates ready for next season. The fans are tired of hearing of stalled negotiations for players.

The current champions Man Utd have made significant signings since the transfer window opened, so why not Arsenal who stumbled for a fourth position in the just concluded league. Stop killing your own fans, wake up Mr. Gazidis! Wake up Mr. Wenger!

Pleading to wenger to just fucking give him what he wants..loosing nasri and cesc would be horrific but more painful loosing him to utd..

If we dont have just enough money tom keep our star players from going away let alone buy new ones , we may loose all the glorious rich history set up by the Ex-gunners.
the only think would remain is a fan base which will cheated.

MR Wenger please we need some serious signings this year. i don not think the gunners will like to celebrate. Almunia, Diaby and some other guys in the team needs to disposed. you can even add the liability you purchased from ST Pertesburg and Rescisky. you are always good at making mistakes. we are tiered of this nonsense. you developed people like Flamini ,Helb, Henry, Eduardo,Adebayor, among others and you dispose them off at their peak. i think 2005 to 2011 is enough time to test our loyalty to the club and we cannot wait to celebrate our next success in this Aniversary year. we counting on you wenger

Milan confirmed fabregas won’t sign because he’s going to another club no surprises who that is . Sky sports say they have increased the bid to £35 mill plus some other extras ( don’t know what that is ) . I buy 3 papers a day the sun , mail and mirror to try get the gossip on the transfers Im still on the fench about Gervinho but that looks imminent i hope they land viviano samba and cahill to make the back rock solid . Juan mata is a dream but we need to activate his 23 mill release clause and stop being so hard up BIG PLAYERS make a differnce its a proven fact . That is all Gooner for life !!!!

This is not time to bost of who is bigger. Arsenal needs all its key players and must do anything to keep all of them. this is the time Wenger and The whole ARSENAL family needs them the most. do you remember wenger saying some years back that the fans should have patient and his young team will perform in some years to come. i think it is time for them to deliver. i don not agree with you MR Man

    Please Explain This!!!

Thiago Alcantara just extended his contract with Barcalona till 2015. For those who don’t know him, he is an up and coming Italian Midfielder with a promising future.
His release clause is worth 81 Million pounds.
Holly!!!!! Fabregas who also has 4 years left on his contract is worth 35 Million, while this kid is worth 81 Million. Smart move by Barcalona (secure the kids with a huge contract), but is dirty to under value our Fabregas.

My feeling is anyone who is no longer proud to wear the Arsenal shirt should move on and can easily be replaced by another of similar quality who is. This includes Fabregas, Nasri and Clichey who were relative nobodies before they came to the Emirates and because of the training they recieved here, their personal careers became elevated to the point their true intentions are now able to be realized. If Nasri wants to play at Manchester United and that’s where his heart is let him go immediately and replace him with someone who’s heart is HERE.

DID YOU READ AW LETTER? He said, he knows where we went wrong and will fix it!

Well, I don’t subscribe to offering Nas 100K per week or anything more. If its true that he was offered 90k and he refused to sign, then I honestly think AW and the board have done their jobs. He is a bunch of talent but has only had a half season of extraordinary performance. He is far more replaceable than Fab. I prefer players who show more commitment to †нє clubs they play for.

just seen on skynews that city are getting nasri! this is ridiculous, pay the boy the extra 20k he deserves and he will stay with us. it’s not difficult wenger just do it and then we won’t have to do so much rebuilding if nasri and fabregas go because if cesc doesn’t leave this year, it will be the next one definitely. we need both to attract talent to the emirates to even have a shot at ending this trophy drought which is killing the club’s supporters. stop being frugal wenger because we are all sick and tired of not winning. we have had enough.

  36. Dan says:

It’s completely pathetic. However, the truth of the matter is the Arsenal board are not willing to change their wage structure just to keep one player – however good that player is. They’ll stick to their philosophe because as far as they’re concerned, it works.

We spend next to nothing, bring in huge profits from match day ticket sales (the biggest in the world, just so you know) and we remain in the champions league (by the skin of our teeth).

Wenger is happy because he gets to continue his – what can only be described as an- ‘experiment’ with nurturing young talent.

He won’t want to lose Nasri and Cesc but it ultimately won’t be his call.

We’ll make maybe £65mil from the sales of Cesc, Nasri and Clichy…and we’ll spend maybe £40mil on Cahill/Samba, Gervinho and maybe Alvarez.

  42. Sky Sports is just reporting that City are closing in on both Clichy & Nasri! For Clichy, I would give him my blessings because I sincerely don’t think he’s that good, as there are better players already in the league whom Arsenal can sign, the likes of Enrique & Baines, while Wenger can also use Vermaelen at left back if he signs both Samba & Cahill. But the biggest worry lies with Nasri. Wenger MUST do all he can to keep him. Even if he were to sell him, this is not the right time as he would cost only peanuts, yet for a player of his quality, Nasri, with a fat contract, would cost in the region of 30-40m. If the Arsenal Board really feel betrayed by Nasri’s greed & willingness to move to United or City, they should give him all the money he demands & jettison him off next season for significant transfer fees. Sincerely, losing him & Fabregas at the same time would take Arsenal out of the running for the title even before the season begins

Completely agree with Kiku on this.
I can’t believe how money hungry Nasri is, and I had him pinned for a loyal player, I guess not.
But we can’t afford to lose him right now as Fabregas will most likely leave this season.
If we do lose both we can kiss any hopes of silverware goodbye, as those two were the heart of our midfield, no level of new signings can compensate for the loss of two of our key midfielders, the synergy of Arsenal could be thrown off balance completely and it would take at least a year to readjust.
I hope for Arsenal’s sake, that he signs a new contract, although i’m extremely disappointed at his attitude towards football, it appears that money > passion for the game these days.

There is a whole new business being created around speculation in the transfer market fuelled by fans over reaction to irrational fears. There are journos well paid to make this stuff up. I suspect Nasri’s agent has started the latest to put pressure on the Arsenal board who are negotiating a new contract for Nasri. Nasri is saying “if Cesc goes I am your main playmaker for the next five years and I want what Cesc was getting”. Arsenal’s counter is what I think are spurious bids for Alvarez and Gervinho. Why do we want two more midfielders? Some fans are convinced spending will guarantee trophies. Alvarez and Gervinho are no better than Ramsey or Wilshire, we have Frimpong coming through who could be a world class holding midfielder. The real transfer action will not happen until the end of July and I expect one or two class defenders and perhaps a striker.

Two thoughts on this: Call me old fashioned, but if players earning more in a day than nurses do in a year put greed over loyalty, then show them the door … and give them hell from the stands next time they turn up.

Secondly, Wenger, in spite of his faults is no mug in the transfer market. Ignore the tabloid talk, 90% of which is made up or agent-sourced. I believe he knows what he has to do and is right not to rush out and buy the latest fashionable signing.

So, Nasri (bottle job last season), Fabregas (injury prone sulker) and the rest can go today as far as I’m concerned. get players in who are hungry to play for Arsenal – yes, they still do exist – a blend of steel and artistry. I think that’s what’s Wenger’s up to. The League will be ours this year.

Gervinho, Alvarez, and Samba have all stated publicly it is their desire to come play for Arsenal. These are the kind of players we want to put on the shirt. Mata and Hazzard have stated they are happy at their current clubs and should be left there, as talented as they are. What will reignite Arsenal is a team full of players who play here because they love this club.
