Aly Cissokho to Arsenal rumours gather pace
The Lyon left-back Aly Cissokho is looking for a way out from the French giants and he told the press yesterday that Newcastle United (amongst other clubs) were talking to Lyon about a possible move.
“I am waiting for the green light from Lyon,” he said. “I am a Lyon player and if they agree a fee with a club, I will then talk to that club.
“But nothing is done yet and I have not been to Newcastle for a medical.
“Newcastle and Lyon are talking about me, but there are other teams interested as well.”
But the Newcastle Journal, who have sources at St. James Park, say that the club have denied any talks with Lyon and are quite happy with Davide Santon and Ryan Taylor in the left-back department.
The Journal then goes on to say that it is more likely to be Arsenal that are chasing the French international. Last night this idea was reinforced by the Portugese `publication Futebol365 (Cissokho used to play for Porto) that reports that Arsenal are talking about a loan deal for the left-back, with a view to a permanent move next summer if he proves he can cope with the rigours of the Premier League.
This would be the perfect solution for Wenger, who currently has Andre Santos out with a long term injury and Kieran Gibbs, who may or may not be reaching fitness again but is notoriously unreliable with injuries, and also gives him the option of sending him back to Lyon if it doesn’t work out. They also say that the deal is nearly complete and will be announced shortly……

No player is coming to arsenal this transfer period. First, it was gorcuff, kalou, suarez, podoski and the list goes on but many fans are yet to realize that wenger isn’t winning any cup for us again. Newcastle signed papi demba cisse for £10M, a striker being feared in bundesliga and wenger is looking at a 34yr old henry to do what? Just watch out for this guy when he comes back from Afcon. For sure, newcastle and liverpool will displace arsenal.

Juan mata, falcao, cahill, cissokho, eden hazard.. All these players could be in the Arsenal squad right now! But Wenger refuses to pay them anything!! newcastle is coming over us this season. Because they show that they want to do that by signing new players. Good players

Arsenal is keeping a close eye on Fernando Torres’ situation at chelsea. Wenger is said to be keen on pairing the former Liverpool hitman with Robin Van Persie. The Daily Mail reports that Wenger will be making a 30 million bid, plus add ons, next week.

This rumour has been going on for ages. It won’t happen and if does ill be very surprised indeed. Please understand when I say this, Arsenal are not buying any player this transfer window. The board made it very clear yesterday that they aren’t looking to get into europe this season. Believe me when I say this it isn’t wengers fault either. He wants players at Arsenal, its the board who are denying him the money and wages he needs to sign the world class players. Wenger is given a budget amount of money per transfer which is low and he then has to settle with B rated players who might turn into stars but in most cases, example chamakh, djouri, squalichi, arshavin, etc etc, they flop. We are a seller club now, we buy youths, we train them and if they turn out to be stars we sell them for profit. Simple. Arsenals glory days are over until the current board either changes their mind or gets replaced. The board are a bunch of fat cats who see this a business and not a football club. The only reason we have been in the top 4 of the Premier league since the invincibles is because of wengers magic. He has done so much on what he has been given by the tight fisted people upstairs. If he goes it will get worse very very quickly.

Abidal just recently extended his contract so….
No i think u just cant rely on gibbs and if u see all the fixtures coming up man u just cant look back and regret u just didnt get the best out of it .Cisoko is a very good upcoming lb just like ashley cole , im actually suprised no one bought him during his porto time he was impressive then,,,so hope to be true really and replace samba with squilaci

the fact that Arsenal are being quite quiet just now might be a good thing…. we never shout about our transfers so maybe we’re keeping it under wraps. Usually Wengers quite blunt and admits we’re not going for someone if we really aren’t. I haven’t heard Wenger dismiss Cissokho yet. Would be a good back line, Sagna, Kosh, Verm and Cissokho. Sounds solid.

Sadly thinks all too familiar with the fans of arsenal. Seems every year we get disappointed with the lack of transfers and our position in league. Every January we get our hopes up because the first part Of the season is lacking something we all can see except who matters the most and that’s wenger I know this is wishful thinking but who I really want to see get signed is pep guadiola. He would not stand for this team to have such crap on the bench and all of quality through he starting 11. To me we have 3 world class players. RVP JW19 and Verminator. Sadly all have been hit with injuries, but how is it that we think we can win any trophy with 3 class players? We can’t and won’t ( oh I forgot Szcs!)

If he was gonna do something surely he would of done it before the utd game? but surprise surprise we’ve done nothing again!! There must be more to it than AW being tight?? He’s tight but not stupid, everyone in the world can see this arsenal team is not good enough to win anything. We’re not a promising young team any more surly the deluded manager and board must see that. Thursday night football is the best we can hope for this year with this team. It would be a welcome relief as we all know that Gibbs is very prone to injuries. AW needs to act fast. Even clubs lower than Arsenal on the league table seem to be showing more ambition in the transfer market. There is no end to all these transfer rumors and AW and the board don’t seem to be helping matters.
