An excellent Premier League debut for Arsenal’s Ryodinho!
Arsenal’s young Japanese maestro Ryo Miyaichi came on for his first Premier League debut for Bolton today. He played amazingly but I’ll talk about that later. Let me give a bit of background information behind the Gunners latest prodigy.
He was signed last January after a successful trial at Arsenal during the summer of 2010. His trial looked very good from what I saw. He looked dangerous, direct and most importantly had instinct. Arsenal sent Ryo on loan to Feyenoord where he was a hit with their fans and was even called ‘Ryodinho’ by some of their supporters whilst others branded him the ‘Japanese Messi’.
His first game for them against Vitesse ended 1-1 and he was named ‘Man of the Match’. He ended his loan with 3 goals and 5 assists for Feyenoord. During the beginning of the 2011-2012 season, Miyaichi was permitted to play in England after he was deemed ‘Exceptional talent’. He only made two appearances in the League Cup and it looked likely he would head out of Arsenal on loan during the winter transfer window. Bolton swooped in during the last day of the window to secure the loan of Ryo Miyaichi in the hope that would emulate Jack Wilshere and Daniel Sturridges progress in the last two seasons.
The tricky Japanese winger was substituted on by Owen Coyle for Petrov just after the half time interval today. He looked dangerous. He had a burst of pace rivalling our own Walcott. He looked to cut in quite a lot and even tried a few step overs and some silky skills reaffirming his comparison to Ronaldinho. He even had a chance to salvage a point for Bolton but Al-Habsi got a vital hand to it and denied Miyaichi the chance to win over the Bolton supporters on his debut.
The kid looks like he has a bright future at Arsenal. He along with many other youngsters has an abundance of talent that Wenger would love to un-tap in the next few years. No matter how dark Arsenal may look in the present, we can always look forward to what a bright future the Gunners have.

I don’t want to put a downer on things but haven’t we ALL been saying the we have a bright future for the past 7 seasons??? Who has come through the ranks in those seasons past? Wilshere! I’m chuffed we have him as he’s pure class weren’t we all supposed to be looking forward to dominating the league with Barazite, Lansbury, Jay Emanual Thomas, Vela, Bendtner, Gibbs, Traore, Freeman, Stokes, Larsson, Muamba etc etc etc etc…..

Guys I just watched Ryo’s(Bolton) highlights via a twitter link. This kid is a wonder. Shame Bolton didn’t start with him understandably cos its his first game but he was a handful and made a great impact. He is definitely one for the next season. He moves like Ronaldo/Eden, style, tactics, pace etc this kid is good. He can score too but his biggest strength is assisting. He actually created a handful of opportunities just that Bolton could not finish. He should have been on the score sheet too if not for a great safe by the keeper. Lets continue to support him and pull him through

Yes its true that we have said that our future is bright for a long time. but our talents today are much better than the other era (vela,jay emmanuel thomas,bendtner exc) today we got players like wilshere,ramsey,miquel,bartley,gibbs,yennaris,scezny,frimpong,afobe,aneke,ryo, AOC,walcott, !! they are the new era and this era is going to win the CL!

As long as he is nurtured right, and grows the way Wilshere is, its all good. BUT, we have to also KEEP him with us to have a bright future!

Think at least in wing position genvinho and ox is clearly better than theo. theo has the pace but no skills which restrict his development. I would say his performance is consistent but just some of his opponent is not capable to handle his speed. The disadvantage of arshavin playing in wing position is his age and non home-grown status. If AA23 given as many chances as theo got, not sure he would not deliver more than theo did. Haven’t seen much of Ryo, so cant comment too much if he is a better winger. Overall still hope arsenal can extend Theo’s contract. And use him as a sub or sell for over 15mil.
No matter who comes to arsenal next season hazard or gotze or……other players, the player must be able to better link forward and midfield and can score goal in every 3 matches. Felt there was too much gap between forward and midfield yesterday against Sunderland, especially before Sunderland scored. Arteta might dropped too deep and rosiky was too close to either side of the flanks most of the time. If we have have a cenral midfielder who can score 10 goals or more a season, we can be top of the table.

Expect only good things from Ryo in the future. The kid has the vision, creativity & a work rate second to none. His loan to Bolton will benefit us greatly next year just like Jacks did.
Enough arguing about Arsene! Get over it already. He’s our manager and will be until he decides to leave, Fact! The squad we have now is who we have till summer so get behind them 100%. AA23 can produce and he needs to show us more of what he’s capable of, especially if he’s looking to move away from us. An increase in his form and production benefits himself and Arsenal.

it’s very nice to know that we have a future squad that could be same as barca…..we once have it and will have it again…ryo, jack, oxlade and others that would be a fantastic squad for arsenal..but hope they will not turn up like those fools…clichy…and nasri those who we took from nowhere

No one notice how he let Mcarthur walk right past him into the box into acres of space, and miss a great chance. Great run for his own chance though, but he definitely has lots to work on still- that’s why he is at Bolton, fingers crossed he will come back next season ready for Arsenal just as Wilshere did.

@Arunavameister They made one good move. Where as our other players have been way more consistent throughout the season. If Ramsey and Arshavin have 3 or 4 good games in a row then I’ll start having more faith in them, but at the moment they have to do more than make one good move. I still prefer Rosicky over Ramsey any day.

We must get into the top 4 or all these so called stars will be sold….and we still need to buy experience players to help these young players reach their potential.If not, we will be singing the same tune in the so called bright future.

Its good we got talented youngsters coming through but what will happens when they hit there peek and realise that the only ambition our manager have is to just qualify for champion leagues n not challenge for any trophy?

@landi don’t forget about bellerin and toral harper they look quality. Moreover, I saw the highlights and he was quality looked very mature and helped to track back unlike a few players we have. He will be a real star I hope.
