Andre Santos – “I Will Do Everything For The Club”
The new Arsenal signings have all been busy over the last couple of days giving interview after interview, and the latest player to be introduced to the press is Andre Santos who signed from Turkish side Fenerbahce.
Santos was brought to the Emirates for a fee of £6.2million and Santos himself realises the task that lies ahead. He said, “There are great expectations from the supporters and I hope that my way of working, of playing, will win the hearts and minds of the other players, the supporters and all those who work for Arsenal.”
Santos went on to say, “This is my main goal at the club — I managed to win over the supporters at Fenerbahce and I hope the same will happen here. I arrive here with one aim — being a champion. I will wear Arsenal’s shirt and give my utmost to it. I will do everything for the club.”
That’s the kind of talk and attitude that Gunners fans want to hear. Santos has been capped 22 times by Brazil and he along with Per Mertesacker will bring some much needed experience to Arsenal’s defence. It does have a more solid look to it already I have to agree, and they haven’t even played together yet!
Lets hope they have a nice easy introduction next week against Swansea City, who in their four games this season have only managed to find the net once and that was scored for them by a Shrewsbury Town player in the Carling Cup, who incidentally are our opponents in the third round!

Wenger did great by bringing experience for the young guns. Its my hope that he further bolsters the squad with M Villa, Hazard Cahill and play maker

@gooner8.2,i agree.normally its d smaller clubs who ask players from d top clubs(eg bendtner-sunderland) 2 take a pay-cut as they simply wont hav a wage-structure like them.but this is the reverse,its not like arsenal will get destroyed if they pay dat 10,000.they took advantage of d champs league presence and gav him no choice on personal preference.if u can pay players like squill,bendnr 50,60k surely arsenal can pay him 70k………….its a bit disrespectfull and selfish really,wont giv dat full satisfaction 2 d player ………..

i beleave this players are good but the question is epl is different from other leags of the world. so what these players are to do is to focus their assigment and leave the fans out of shame.

bendtner should never think of coming back to arsenal the damages he has caused is enough. if he beleaves he is great player he has chance in his new club to proove himself.
