Are Seville and Arsenal negotiating transfer of Negredo today?

The Spanish international stiker, Alvaro Negredo, could be on the way to Arsenal soon. There are sure to be other clubs interested, but Arsene Wenger is definitely in the market for a quality new front man, and has been told by Barcelona that Davis Villa will not be sold this January. The 27-year old striker currently plays for Seville in the Spanish Primera Liga, but it was revealed yesterday that he wants a move to the Premier league in England.

Seville are widely believed to be in need of a cash injection to keep up with their debt repayments, so the news that the club president has flown to London today, suggests that he may be in the process of negotiating the sale of his star striker. The price of Negredo is likely to be around £15 million which is pretty good for a player of his quality and his addition to the Gunners would certainly persuade more people to bet on Arsenal online with Paddy Power although Arsenal are currently around 80/1 to win in the Premier League best odds.

The news was broken by the Seville based sport website, MuchoDeporte, this morning, but the club have insisted the trip to London by Jose Maria Del Nido is purely a personal business matter. Believe that if you want. With Chelsea already having signed Demba Ba, it is thought that Arsenal are the team most likely to be the destination of Negredo, who helped Spain to Euro 2012 glory.

Negredo would be able to play in the Champions league for Arsenal if he signed, and he is in good scoring form this season, with 11 goals from 18 matches. Fast, technical and powerful, Negredo would make a great addition for the Gunners.

im not sure what the hell Wenger wants, im not sure he really knows what he wants?? seems like a no brainer to sign Mvila for £8m, but then £16-£18m plus ramsey for Fellaini aint a bad shout?… Moddric aint happey at real madrid?… De Rossie has fallen out with everyone at Roma.. chuck ashavin into the deal etc.. hate to say it but we need a Harry Redknapp mentality when it comes to the transfer saga at Arsenal.. £3m plus Marouane Chamakh for Peter Crouch or Bent just to get rid of him ETC,what about Lassana Diarra he would love to come back??.. Chieck Tiote (Newcastle) put a cheeky bid in for him and make him put a transfer request in and ruffle a few feathers..them sort of deals is what we need etc.. we miss DAVID DEIN big time.. its so sad to see Arsenal stand still while everybody else moves forward…

The pendulum swings towards Arsenal but Wenger can never be trusted when it comes to money. Very soon he will say Negredo is not the quality he is looking for. M’villa is available and he isnot saying anything, Behanda is about joining Spur after all the talk about him joining Arsenal.let’s wait and see.

Anyone watching the barca game? David Villa is lethal! If there is any truth in that rumour, we should pursue him. Still agaile for his age aswell. 2 quality goals in 10 minutes!

Id prefer Loic Remy, he reminds me of another frenchman who use to wear the number 14 shirt at arsenal

Big strong lad with an accurate foot and cool on the ball; sounds like he ticks boxes for me.

If Wenger is such a transfer window genius (Hah!) he would pair up Navas and Negredo. He could get an instant effective strike team that is a million miles from anything we currently have. Speed, skill and strength added to the squad overnight.

But then what would I know I am just a stupid fan who waits and waits faithfully for some glory while Wenger collects millions a year for not reaching any real world targets.

Wenger you deluded fool time for you to go, close the door on the way out and don’t call us we’ll call you…

Much more likely he will go to spurs.

Kills me to say it but we are keeping Spurs CL place warm for them.

Before you negative this comment take a long hard look at positions in the league, depth of squad and of course activity in this transfer window.

We have not been in and if we are not in we can’t win.

Wenger is definitely loosing the club. We have to act strong. Spurs are growing and will surpass us. Let’s sit outside the emirate and stop buying tickets because our money come straight is gazidis pocket’s.

You cannot tell me negredo is not sharper than gervinho or even giroud.

Arsenal is not in the market for him, Wenger is still contempleting whether to go into the market or not, again if Arsenal is in the market already and Negrado is a real quality striker, Wenger cant price him away from Seville if he is worth his onions. the only player Wenger could get from Barca is undeveloped Cesc’ Fab, the only one from Seville is finished Squillaci. so forget this line you are pursuing.
