Arsenal and Spurs fighting over Argentinian midfielder
It is being reported this morning that both Arsene Wenger and Harry Redknapp are monitoring the contract talks between Alejandro Faurlin and his club, Queens Park Rangers.
The Mirror reports that the Argentinian midfielder has demanded a wage raise to £50,000-a-week to extend his contract, which runs out in 18 months time, but QPR bosses are unlikely to agree to pay that much.
For Tottenham and Arsenal this won’t present a problem if they think he is good enough to make the move across London, but the Mirror also states that the Serie A side Napoli are also interested.
Faurlin’s agent, Lucas Cominelli, was quoted as saying: “When the phone rings and there are two Premier League teams and one from Serie A expressing their admiration, it’s a testimony to the way Ali has started in the top flight.”
Faurlin only ever played in the second division in Argentina before moving to QPR and helping them earn promotion, but is he really good enough for the Gunners?

kos played in french div 2 and only had 1 season in div 1,is he good enough??i dont think he would be the first name on the team sheet but would be a good squad player for us.i mean im sure he can do a better job than the likes of diaby all hes got to do is be able to play more than 10 mins without getting injured.instantly more useful than diaby.does anyone know if he can play on the wings aswell?
c’mon arsenal!!!!!!!!!3-1 win today

Why is it always spurs who are in our way? Btw we’ve still got Coquelin and Frimpong, why buy Faurlin?

If Wenger is genuinely interested then it’s for a good reason. Value for money and potential.
It’s a guessing game with the Prof, with who he will sell, let alone who he will buy.
I trust in Wenger , but sometimes you wish he would just buy the player(s) WE ALL WANT. Maybe it that were the case, life would be too boring at Arsenal. I don’t mind being dull for a good cause!

For Gods sake can’t these Tottenham fucks like scout their own players, one can swear all they do is wait around for Wenger to spot the talent… And then they also get in on the action bunch of copy cats..
About Faurlin, I think he is a quality player,AW would probably use him in a Arteta position not in a Song/Frimpong pos..
If u watch him play he reads the game well & wins a lot of tackles & then distributes the ball very quickly & accurately, this is very important because 2yrs ago we lost to Man U home & away and the major difference between our teams was that Man U played & passed the ball a few split seconds faster…
