Arsenal bid for Stuttgart keeper rejected?
I have absolutely no idea where this Arsenal rumour came from. Well I mean of course I know that it was first reported in the Daily Mail, but they don’t give any sources for it at all.
It concerns a 15 year-old Stuttgart goalkeeper called Odesseas Vlachidimos, who is already 6ft 3in tall. They reckon that he is “one of the most sought after talents in European football”, so it is a bit strange that no-one has ever heard of him before!
Anyway, the Mail reckons that he was recommended to Arsenal by the moody German Jens Lehmann, and that Arsenal have not just listened to him, but have already gone so far to have made a £1m offer for the youngster. Of course Stuttgart have rejected the offer, as they are keen to have such a young talent remain in Germany.
A quick search on Google hasn’t given me any more clues or info on Vlachidimos, I can’t even find his nationality anywhere! In actual fact every single mention of him (all 52 hits) on the search engine point back to the same article in the Daily Mail!
So without any back-up from any other source, I am very loathe to accept the word of the Mail. Perhaps we will find out if Wenger goes in with a larger offer LOL!

Unfourtunate for you, I found these facts on german sites! I also found an article about Arsenal making a bid for him which was rejected on gaol.com.
