Arsenal chasing prolific Ivorian striker
At 23 years old Seydou Doumbia managed to impress many big clubs around the world with his skill and his very acute sense of goal.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Inter Milan were reported to be interested interested in the young striker in the last few years, and it is thought that he came close to signing for the Gunners before moving to Russia. Despite the big interest for him from different countries, Doumbia declared that his true dream is to play for a big Premier League team and that he will not stop fighting until it becomes true.
“It is a dream for me to play in that league one day.” said Doumbia.
“Hopefully one day but at the moment I am here.
“Before I came here, a big London club were interested in me. However, with work permit problems it was complicated.
“But I want to play in that league in my career. It would be a dream come true.” (Skysports)
Doumbia is currently playing for Russian side CSKA Moscow. His real talent started to show when the striker was playing for Young Boys in the Swiss league. He managed then to score a stunning number of 57 goals in 78 games, and that caught everybody’s eye around Europe.
He then transferred to Russia and continued his thrilling form by becoming the best striker in the Russian side. He managed to score 12 goals in 15 played games in the first season, and in the second season he scored 19 goals in 31 games. That’s a lot of goals by any standard, and perhaps Premier League teams should take a closer look to prolific players like him who get the job done, instead of looking at very young players like Joel Campbell.
We’ve all seen the kind of skills Gervinho has, and perhaps it’s time to bring in more of the same. Do you think a striker with those kinds of numbers is good enough to play in the Premier League for a club like Arsenal?

A player with such tremendous record is what we need at arsenal to perfect our attack.R V P is a good striker but he need to be supported.Wenger should not waste time before Manchester clubs or Chelsea will snatch him.Act now Mr Wenger.

According to CSKA’s chairman we’re going to buy Wagner Love….. Can’t see either happening. Mind you, we still need a defensive player, so we’ll probably sign both……….

What a shambles today. AFC = Arsenal Football Circus. The only players worth mentioning in today’s game were Sagna, Song, Gervinho, Arteta, Scezny, Per. The rest were bloddy hopeless. Walcott at least made a bit of a difference when he came on. Not enough. Koscielny, Djoure, Arshavin must go…really. They are flipping useless. Most of all Wenger needs to be driving their wagon outta AFC. He has lost the plot completely.

why should we bring in a new striker, AW’style doesn’t consist in lining up a goalgetter, van Persie plays around the box and Chamakh gets only ten minutes per match, if we have a lack of creativity for the moment, why not line up
Chamakh from the start and feed him with high balls, he’s a great header, it should be time for concentrating on the values of the players, the AW’style is hardly possible with our squad
