Arsenal chasing prolific young Swedish striker
There have been numerous reports lately linking Arsenal with the prolific young Swede John Guidetti, who is currently on loan at Feyenoord in Holland from Manchester City. The 19 year-old has burst upon the scene in the Eredvisie lately with 11 goals (in just 12 games), including a match-winning hat-trick against title contenders FC Twente in the first 45 minutes of the game.
Guidetti is only halfway through his loan period, but with the array of top strikers at the Etihad Stadium there is little chance of the youngster breaking into the first team when he returns, whereas Arsene Wenger is desperate for a top class youngster to be blooded to replace Robin Van Persie in the future.
Despite his age the youngster has already scored four goals for the Swedish U21 side after he scored goals for fun when in the U19 side, and is certain to become a future star for the senior Swedish national team.
According to voetbal4u in Holland, Arsenal scouts have been closely monitoring the youngster with a view to a bid next summer, and although the Feyenoord Coach Ronald Koeman is hoping that Guidetti can remain with them next season, he admits that realistically there will be many suitors for him in the coming months.
Guidetti’s agent Per Jonsson also announced that he could be on the move if the right offer came along. He said: “It seems that Guidetti temporarily remains at Feyenoord. He himself – he wants to keep playing to get a place at the European Championships. But it is clear that circumstances may change if clubs are going to sign.”
He certainly seems to be extremely talented and perhaps a typical wonderkid Wenger signing, but would he be ready for the Arsenal first team in time to replace Van Persie?

I think he would fit in great at Arsenal. The swedish way of playing suits the english game very well. Buy now, but we also need a great striker with experience in a top league.

He was ready at Citeh, but they didn’t really fit their pretty boy image. The kid is a hard worker and will surprise defenders how he goes at them. There’s a reason Citeh only Loaned him out.

I am sick and tired of all these transfer talk you know very well AW won’t spend in January…and spurs are better this season because we lack goals and it will be a miracle if we finish 4 th with the current squad and I doubt it rvp will sign a contract…I miss jack, santos, and sagna without them it will always be frustrating games.

I’m so pissed! Those spurs fans are gonna be ripping the shit out of us all of next season if we don’t make the champions league . And you can’t blame them.
What the hell has happened my fellow gooners??? We were fucking light years ahead of them just 4 years ago and I’m not naive enough to admit they are just as good as us now! This is bizzare as we generate much more revenue than them and have had champions league money for the past 15 or so years!!!
They are also able to keep their best players and able to put in bids of over 30 million for Rossi and 35 million for Sergio aguero before he joined city. And before anyone makes the stupid comment of “why don’t you go and support them then” they can get fucked! I have spent thousands over the years following them and will continue to do so even if we do a Leeds because I love the club and they have given me some of the moments of my life!
When we won our first double under wenger I cried my eyes out and was on a bigger high than any drug I have ever done in my life! Even now when I see Steve bould chip a beautiful through ball to TONY ADAMS and he smashes it in the bottom right hand corner with his left foot against everton it sends a chill down my spine. So don’t for one moment doubt my love for this great club.
I just want someone to tell me how? How has this happened? In my opinion we are just a profit machine for the big shareholders, which if true won’t be changing anytime soon. If a couple more clubs like villa or everton get oil money then we are in the shit because our owners will not allow us to follow suit because they are making huge amounts of money of this club.
We need usmanov on boared with dein and Wenger. Get rid of this cretin gazidas and the rest of them.

Sorry but I tire of these rumors. We have been chasing players forever and never end up getting any of them. It will be a MIRACLE if Arsenal buy a player worth more than 5m

Sorry this is slightly off topic but I am watching the Celtic VS Rangers game and Kyle Bartley looks great. Very good defender and good in the air. Have not made a single mistake almost half time. This guy is better than any of our back up defenders so why not bring him in instead of buying any other CB. Just a thought.

I am dutch and have seen him play at Feyenoord. He is a great striker, but needed much time to adapt to the Eredivisie. I wonder how long it will take him to adapt to the premier league. Still he will be great in the future, but Will need time to adapt.
