Arsenal Chasing Toulouse Defender Now!
It could only happen at Arsenal couldn’t it. We lose our right back with a broken leg, so what do we do? Yes you’ve guessed it we are after a left back, well according to reports today we are anyway.
The player in question is the Tunisian left back Aymen Abdennour of French Club Toulouse, for whom he signed in the summer from Tunisian club Etoile du Sahel, but he can also play in midfield.
Abdennour, 22, has played in seven of Toulouse’s Ligue 1 fixtures this season, and he has impressed, and helped them to fourth in the table just three points behind the leaders Paris Saint Germain.
According to talkSPORT Abdennour is well known to Arsene Wenger and the scouts at Arsenal because he has been watched before during his loan spell with Werder Bremen last year. The report goes on to say that he has been watched this season as well, and we could make a move for him in January. Perhaps Per Mertesacker has put in a good word for him with the boss!
A left back that can play left midfield. I don’t mean to be cynical, but haven’t we just bought Andre Santos for £6million to play in those very same positions. Oh well you can’t beat strength in depth I suppose! Anyone know much about this guy let us know your thoughts?

The media has nothing interesting to write nowadays so all the made up stories are about Arsenal. Players coming in and going out, at the end of the day there is always little truth in these stories.
I have had enough of these stories.
Opinions divided. What do you think?

He seems to have good positioning but I agree he’s just another Santos. I would say pick him up but the arsenal board will ask wenger after the acquisition “we just bought a defender and you want to buy 2 more? No way.” So bc of our seemingly limited number of transfers I’d prefer vert and van der wiel

Can’t we condense this nonsense and just have a headline reading “Arsenal linked with every young French player and every midfielder and defender on the planet”? What else do we need to write?

many people seem to be asking why we get linked with so many but sign little.answer is simple, imo the media comes to know about the interest from someone at the club ,they publish it and suddenly everyone knows of the interest .we end up not signing that player as the board and the selling club couldn’t agree either on the transfer fee or his wages.as a result the interest gets ditched and arsenal move to their next target……..period!!! so its not like whatever admin posts is just gossip….

Why are we once again looking for young inexperienced defenders. We need an experienced centre back to back up verm and mert. Vertongen would also be a very good buy because of his ability his plays LB aswell as CB. Also why spend 20 million or more on m’vila. Unproven and we already have song frimpong coquilin denilson (on loan) and diaby. We may aswell give up on hazard, we have already taken one side of there attack and we will hardly get the other. Marko marin would be a good replacement for nasri and as wilshere will easily replace fab, our wingers should be a lot better.
Out: chamakh arshavin rosicky squillaci bendtner jenkinson (loan) and almunia (so bad its not funny)
In: marko marin, jan vertongen, kalou (for abit of depth) someone like cabaye of newcastle and a right back like bosingwa.
Starting 11
Szscesny
Sagna (Santos 4now) mert verm vertongen
Arteta song wilshere
Walcott / ox-chamberlain RVP marin
