Arsenal chasing young Greek International goalkeeper
There is a very interesting Arsenal transfer rumour in today’s Mail saying that Arsene Wenger has got his scouts monitoring the very young Panathiniakos keeper Stefanos Kapino, who made made history in November by setting a record for the youngest ever player to represent Greece at senior level in a friendly match (against Romania).
The 17 year-old is already a regular back up for the Greek giants Panathiniakos and has won over the supporters with his polished performances despite his tender years. He is used to breaking records though as he first played for the Greece U17 side when he was just 15 years old.
He is already 6ft 5in and has been praised for his positioning and his confidence at dealing with set-pieces, and could be a brilliant backup to Wojciech Szczesny.
Funnily, the article ended by saying:
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is on the hunt for fresh talent despite having three goalkeepers, Manuel Almunia, Vito Mannone and Lukasz Fabianski, already in his squad.
Shouldn’t that be BECAUSE OF instead of DESPITE!

Wenger has his own way but people somehow believe that he’s just a common person who’s not a shopaholic. maybe he’s got a greater plan than hearing fans forcing to buy new players. on my opinion, he really prefers having fresh talents from his own rather than having players that have different kind of skills from different clubs which obviously not his way of going through his victory. let’s just see what he has for the team and hopefully his plan is way better than what fans can ever expected so that people could trust on his tricky technique process. hopefully it works out eventually

I thought we had finally sorted out our goalkeeper problem.We need better quality players,all over the pitch,and if we don’t do something soon,RVP will be looking to go somewhere else to win something.Bring back David Dein,and hopefully he can bring some big players into the club,like last time,because Gazidis is a joke.

I would agree with this philosophy of buying young and building up a team but it doesn’t work when you sell guys when they finally start to become world class – hence the last seven years.
