Arsenal close in on Sergio Canales
The Arsenal transfer gossip is gathering pace as it has just been revealed that the North London club have been in serious discussions with Sergio Canales agent (and father) regarding a possible move to the Emirates.
The Mail reports that Gelo Canales was in London yesterday (Monday) to meet representatives of Arsenal with the express desire to seek assurances that he will not be languishing in the reserves if he moves to London.
“I won’t discount any option.” Gelo said: “My son will go to a club where he will play plenty of football. That’s what interests us.”
It was thought that Real Madrid were favourites to sign the talented Spanish youngster, but with a squad of Galacticos his chances of getting regular first team football seems unlikely, so perhaps it is not such a pipe-dream that he could come to Arsenal.
Canales has also held talks with Manchester City and will probably have a few more interested parties to talk to, so a decision is not expected immediately, but at least we know that Arsenal are making an effort to sign the promising young striker.

Why do we need another midfilder? Cesc,nasri,ramsey,merida,whilshere will dominate the europe in midfield. We just need a cf within 15m-22m.
We just signed Galindo, no need for him, Get ozil or hazard or giovinco instead
We don’t need him. Wenger should move for an established striker. Think about it, we already have Fabregas, Ramsey, Diaby, Merida, Wilshere and Nasri who can all play as an attacking midfielder. Also, if we buy him, either Ramsey, Merida or Wilshere will get less playing time meaning one of them will want out. Too many youngsters at one time is a bad thing..
U dont understand by the time Canales is 19, he will be playing among big brothers here. He is good looking too, can fill stadium with ladies.

I actually think a move for canales might not be such a bad idea considering all the speculation that merida might be leaving,wilshere propably still being a couple of seasons from regular first team football and wallcott being an injury prone.In my opinion we should sign him

He’s a striker isn’t he? Last I read about this guy he was. Why do we need a striker when we seem to be scoring goals from all over the pitch. Who would the new striker replace to? Wenger won’t sign anybody apart from another defender or maybe a defensive midfielder.

We need Caneles like yesterday. If not for him to play now let it be for the simple reason that he will not play against Arsenal one day!!! I rate him in the same class as Messi. People who say we do not need this kid have not seen the kid playing!!!

This boy is so good it’s scary! No wonder Real Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool & Man City all want him. If Arsene pulls this one off it will be MASSIVE! Just check him out on YouTube, amazing composure for one so young. Not just ‘one for the future’, more like ‘one for now and for many years to come’.

I watch spainish football and everyweek he is class!!i would sign him up he can play in midfield or in the forward 3 and he has great feet.You can get him for free in the summer or for a couple of million now.I know we will regret it if we dont cause i think he is the best player in the world under 20.i dont think we will sign a stricker with walcott n bendtner coming back.nor do i think wel sign any1 else.Not hunterlaar he scored in holland then cudn in spain or italy..not tell u something
