Arsenal could swap Chamakh for Diame with West Ham
If Arsenal can persuade West Ham to go for this deal, it will confirm that Arsene Wenger, as Alex Ferguson suggested in the summer, would make an excellent poker player. West Ham are keen to boost their striking options and are thinking about a loan move for the Arsenal outcast Marouane Chamakh. Arsene Wenger has had to accept that Abou Diaby may never be able to play many games for the Gunners and Mohamed Diame is reported to be one of the dynamic midfielders that may be brought to the the Emirates in January.
The 25-year old midfielder has been immense for the Hammers and his box to box style is similar to that of Diaby. He is currently injured, but will be fit again in January, just in time for Arsenal to take advantage of the buy out clause of around £4 million in his contract. The Senegalese international is not the big name that some Arsenal fans are craving, but he has proved himself in the Premier league.
Wenger has seen enough of Chamakh who was woeful again in the cup defeat by Bradford City. He started well at Arsenal, however, and Sam Allardyce likes his kind of player (tall and rubbish). Wenger will try to make Chamakh’s move to West Ham a permanent one and he could make it a straight swap. Just don’t start laughing openly at the Hammers until the deal is done.

Surely would be worthy if it ment getting Chamakh off the books, then rid ourselves of Park for good so we have room for two more quality strikers.
We should all know by now that one of our biggest probs is our lack of top quality strikers, we have always surpassed most squads in this department. Giroud and wingers come strikers or vice versa really dont stand/match up to previous players.
I do believe that Theo could be useful in certain games playing the arrow head, beside the fact he doesnt want to play for us longterm i believe he is just lacking too much on certain attributes to be truly consistent.

If the rumours are true and we have £70million to spend,then we really shouldn’t f*** around. We should get rid of as many dead wood players as possible, especially squillaci, djorou, santos, chamakh and arshavin because lets face it, as much as we want Ramsay and Gervinho gone, Wenger STILL reckons they can come good, which is ridiculous but live with it. We should get Diame straight off, is a typical wenger buy and has been the buy of the season hands down, he’s the reason why West Ham have had such a good start. We should sign a left back to replace santos, probably Jetro Willems, who is a brilliant talent, or go for an experienced left back like Fuchs / Kolerov. We should sign a CB to replace the 2 leaving, Yanga M’Biwa springs to mind, or maybe even Lescott who is leaving City?
Nani should be bought, £17 million and he’s ours, whether people like the fact that he’s from united or not, he is better than every winger in our squad, no questions asked, he isn’t playing because he has had a row with red nose because of a bust up with one of united youngsters, i say snatch him ASAP. From there on i think the rest should be funded for one of the worlds best strikers. Cavani / Tevez / Falcao / Benzema / Lewandowski / Huntelaar. No fucking around, replace the best striker in the world who left, with someone with as close as ability.

i agree with Leo, but I think Celtic would demand a huge fee for Wanyama and above that he is still very young and raw i believe. Tremendous talent no doubt but situation in Arsenal is we need experienced specially EPL experienced players. Diame fits in it and I think he will be perfect for us till the time Abou Diaby is not fit. As we all know when Diaby is fit he will get the nod ahead of any current midfielders we have now in our team even Wilshere because on his day Abou Diaby is a BEAST. I rate him as good as Yaya Toure. Along with Diame I think we should sign Steven Jovetic. He is a very skillful player and also we should sign Sofiane feghouli or ISCO if Walcott leaves. I wont mind if Wenger gets a left back who can actually defend but as a back to Gibbs.

Would jump at the deal. Hope it comes off and I do think Chamakh would do well at west ham he is a descent player just not for us. \\\\\\ But Id still buy another midfield powerhouse. No offence to Diaby but we can’t plan to challenge for a league with his injury record. We need two powerhouses and to be honest if we get someone like Diame at his value it could happen we buy another.

To be fair guys Arsenal bought well last summer Podolski, Girourd and Santi. Problem was we lost two good players as well. It looks as if Wenger learned from the year before leaving it late for a lot of players. Transfer deadline day should be semi relaxed and looking for the bargain that may pop up. Hope for more Arteta buys on last days

Diame is injured for three months, players don’t sign when injured, clubs don’t even renew contracts with them unless its a special situation. The Diame thing is not going to happen…

chaps remember Chamackh started brilliantly for the team then when he was sidelined to be replaced by robin the traitor who was initially injured he lost confidence and when given regular playing time he will find himself again, he is a good player and did proof himself, best of luck if u leave mate, sorry for having to sacrifice u for a traitor
