Arsenal fail to hold on to a lead AGAIN! What’s going on?
In Arsenal’s last four League games the Gunners have scored the first goal of the game, but only against QPR did they manage to hang on for a 1-0 and even then they didn’t do it comfortably. Aganist Wolves at home you would have expected the Gunners to kick on after taking the lead in the eight minute, but that one ended in a 1-1 draw.
Then last week against Fulham, Arsenal went 1-0 up after 21 minutes but, lo and behold, they conceded two goals towards the end because as Wenger said “they were tired”, and today, when NO-ONE could possible be tired, they screwed up again against Swansea.
Can anyone see a pattern developing here? Where is the ability to kill “lesser” teams off? Arsenal are “supposed to be” one of the best teams in Europe, but can’t hold on to a lead against Wolves, Fulham or Swansea, and have dropped eight points in four straight games against teams that used to be considered cannon fodder.
Those eight points would have put Arsenal just four points behind the two Manchester teams, only TWO points behind the dreaded Spuds, and would have left them firmly in the Top Four.
What the hell has happened to our beloved Arsenal? I think that Wenger still has the ability to teach a team that plays the best football in the Premiership, but somewhere along the way he lost the players that are capable of carrying out those plans…..

What get me mad is how much u wanna bet we beat man utd next week,, thats the story with us we always do this lose to clubs like this then beat better teams following week I bet u a 100 we beat man utd, thats gonna get me mad knowing we lost today but beat them..

im so sick of this! wenger wake the hell up there are to many players that wont get in the newcastle team FACT ROSICSY CHAMACK MERTESACKER SANTOS RAMSEY SQUID PARK ARSAVHIN, these players WILL NOT get us forth place!!! never mind winning something!! all i can say is get ready for thursday night football next season we got no chance of forth!! we need class and skill and the balls to spend money but theres fat chance of that!! missed signings have cost us dear (hazard, benzema, cahill, alex, bains, sow)! and the result is?? look at the table!

On a postive note I thought Djourou and Miquel had really good games. You can definitely see Miquel gaining more confidence and becoming a bit more adventurous going forward. I’m not a Djourou fan but didn’t he give Walcott a great assist?
Not happy we lost especially when Tottenham and Liverpool dropped points. We hardly capitalise on other teams’ shortcomings when given the opportunity. We need more signings ASAP.

It’s actually quite impressive that Arsenal are 5th seeing as we can’t even beat Swansea, Fulham, Wolves or Blackburn! As much as I love Arsenal, credit where credit is due; Totenham deserve to play Champions League football whereas to put it bluntly, Arsenal do not. Any Arsenal fans whom think otherwise are as insane as Wenger’s managerial decisions. We’ve conceeded more goals away than every other team. The only reason we have a positive goal difference is all credit to Van Persie who will be off at the end of the season. Do any of you fans seriously think Wenger will suddenly be able to attract the kind of players we’ve all been screaming out for for years? We’ll then have a poor offence to match our poor defence and the steady decline will continue.

why is everybody digging at djorou? he had a great game with several important challenges and very few attacks from swansea came from his side and position. his play to bring the ball out from defence and slot in theo was the best bit of football all night but tottaly rubished because it was djorou not fab or wilshere.
also theos goal was a class henry like finish but coz it wasnt henry we dont care! that goal from theo got us back in it and we shoulda gone on to win the match. instead henry looses the ball, kosh shows graham down the line whilst shezeny rushes out for no reason and gives graham a shot at goal when kosh had the situation under control and all are keeper had to do was stay in goal. point is another day theo is a gamechanger and we sing his praises for a quality goal that changed the game.
the real thing thats hacking me off is players like djorou are slammed for nothing and players like song are wrongfully praised. song is supposed to be are dm, its his job to boss the middle break up play and generally terrorise the other team. he has been a pale shadow recently and its his possition thats exposing us. he aint clossing f all down and he aint bossing sh@t! he cost us the fulham game coz second half we was over run in midfield, we lost today because we was over run in midfield! wake up people its songs job to personally stop this from happening. he aint there to create, he aint there to score goals, he aint there to play good football, his one job is to take charge of the midfield to stop the oppersition from playing and allow ours to function. he is playing sh@T at the mo but getting away with murder while other players take the blame that dont deserve it.

I don’t understand why Wenger was bloody hell when defending his lads. When you are too injury-prone, you have to welcome a challenge with new signings or youths. If you constantly play like a rubbish, you will demote to the bench and others will get some chances. But if you are really a rubbish, please rot in reserves, pack you bag and leave asap. I don’t need your service and wish your luck at the other club.

Two games loses against M United will be Three game in a row. What a record for Wenger to be broken. He like to break record this season. Yesterday game shown Arshavin, Benayoun,Ramsey dont really cut in Arsenal team. If against Swansea we cannot win then forget about against team from top four. Our weakness in the centre midfield cut to pieces by Swansea. Other than scoring goal Walcott should contribute more as a team. Sad ,sad, sad scenario for Arsenal when it seem to be lighting in the end of tunnel suddenly it become just false hope.

@toby…. Noone is expecting fireworks from Song thats why he is not getting slated. He allows our so called creative attacking players the license to cause damage.
Ramsey was shocking. He is simply not good enough. He was a talent we acquired for little money but has no finishing ability. He has energy but thats it.
Benayoun as was mentioned earlier is a headless chicken. He is not Arsenal standard. I like his energy though and he is a trier.
You praise Walcott. But the game is 90 mins. What service did he provide RVP? Name a cross that connected all night? If he has to beat a man with the ball he hasnt a clue. He is only good at chasing onto a ball. His finish was good but once in 6 weeks isnt good enough. His stats are abysmal.
Arshavin is the laziest player in the prem but he is the only player in the squad that can unlock a defence. Thats why Wenger plays him. The only reason. He needs to go. He isnt interested anymore.
Djourou had an ok game but again 1 in 6 isnt good enough.
Also, If its not Kos, Chesney, why do we have the worst defence away in the premiership.
If the board werent so firmly wedged up Wengers backside that they could see the light, he would have been sacked long ago.
I would love to know the real reason why half the old board have gone. Dont think it was to cash in, they could have done that long ago. Perhaps it was because they wanted Wenger out, as money was starting to take over and the primary target rather than success. They are fans after all too.
There is deadwood in the squad and also dead wood in the board.
No other top 6 team would keep a manager with his record in the last 6 years other than a club thats only motive is cash not success.
Just as there are world class players out there, there are world class managers. It’s time we started looking for one.
This should not be on Wengers terms anymore. It’s thanks but no thanks.

right ramsey is good just had a bad game, on the other hand arshavin djouro are average at best. we have had bad luck with injuries if i was wenger i would rethink my squad, arshavin hasnt played well in months sell him for 10m djouro for 8m bring in vertonghen. i would love to bring in goetze and hazard but they wouldnt come

I am 100% gutted & distraught. This is the worst season I’ve ever seen my beloved arsenal play. We had so much crap in the team today, our squad is not good enough. But there’s is no reason to criticize a player like Ramsey, he gives it his all every game! You can tell he loves arsenal. It’s his first full season, I remember cesc first full season at arsenal, he made the same mistakes Ramsey does. The difference was that cesc had a better squad around him to make up for his mistakes. Ramsey doesn’t, that’s why his mistakes are even more magnified.

Is it me or are they like trying to get bad results so that the board free up the money thats needed this window to buy players that even a blind man see’s that we need,,, we are in no place to be waiting for the summer window, this window is the make or break for arsenal, have to break the bank hard core to get your player,, or at the very lest start playing players you have that not even seen bum fluff of prem action ie ,, Park, ryo, happy whats his face got some playing time but play the other two

Swansea beat us at own game!! We had a poor defence, scrambling most of the time, no control in midfield and even poorer striking!
WENGER you have to stop being so stubborn and sort out the squad- sell Arshavin (cr*p again), Walcott really below par, Squillaci and Chamakh and buy top quality- Vertonghen, Cissokho, Gotze, Hazard, Posdolski, Moussa Sow, surely from these decent players you can get a few.

I was still celebrating the walcott goal when swansea scored their third, I couldn’t believe it! I dont understand Arshavin, against Leeds he was full of energy and wasn’t at all lazy.
He was lively early on setting up RVP with a perfect pass but after that he was poor. He is still the only player who can consistently put players through on goal with his great vision but his shooting is terrible. So really we cannot afford to sell him yet.
It is hard to say it but I think Wenger must go, we need a manager who is not afraid to buy world class players and sell the useless dead wood on the side: SQUILACCI, Beneyoun, Rosicky, Chamakh, Park, Diaby, Almunia and possibly more.

I think all this talk about we play the best football in EPL should stop. We have not played really attractive football for a long time. Our best game of the season was probably against Chelsea 5-3 where we were more of a counter attacking team. We don’t have that spark and creativity without Fabregas and Nasri. As we have seen in the games against Wolves, Fulham and Swansea we donot play such attractive football as we did earlier. So please stop telling that we play the most attractive football in the league because plain and simply we donot.

If our own world-class players don’t want to stay or extend their contracts – how exactly do you think we’re going to attract top players to the club. Why would hazard or gotze join, when there are other champions league playing teams after them. Seriously it’s over, we’re going to have to get used to staying in the top half of the table as the new target for a couple of years.
The only good thing is that the so-called financial policy is also in ruins. They’ve destroyed the team for a few extra pieces of silver, now what!
Nobody to sell – who is going to buy some of the rejects we have and at the wages we’ve paid. And how are they going to make the same kind of money from supporters and on merchandising with this kind of team. Once we lose CL position, and associated premium on sponsorship deals, there is no money left for the vultures (read: aw, kroenke, etc).

Arsene Wenger, Hero of Arsenal till 2004, but villain since 2005. Why does Arsenal has Wenger as a manager? It’s because Arsenal’s boards love Wenger’s pathetic cheap transfer policy. teams aren’t scared of us… why would they be. They know if they play a pressing game, get the ball into our defence then sooner or later we’ll make a mistake.
I don’t know what Ramsey was doing last night, ok fair enough he was being taunted and targeted but he was shocking.
On the plus side it might force Wengers hand in the transfer market now, because top 4 finish has almost slipped away. 4 points behind, and now have Newcastle and Liverpool on our tails. So disappointed.

Yeah Ramsey needs to stop effing around with the ball with his fancy princess-like pirouettes and just give the direct pass like Fab used to. Can’t wait til Wilshere is back. He is solid and would partner up with Arteta nicely. If anything, as much as fans criticise Arshavin, he still gives assists when a goal is required. He would make a much better CAM than Ramsey. I’m still waiting for Ramsey to put the ball behind the sticks! Hasn’t he had many open attempts which he couldn’t convert? His poor finishing has cost us games too this year.
