I come into contact with many football fans from all over the world, but i was pleasantly surprised to be contacted by a moderator from an Arsenal website from Thailand – GunnerThailand.com. She is a lovely girl called Hidra.

Having visited Thailand for four months not long ago, i got chatting about how lovely the country was, and she told me about how much the Thais loved football, and that they have over 1200 registered members for their forum alone, not counting the guest visitors.

I knew that the very friendly Thai people were keen on football, as i rarely missed a Premiership match while i was over there. All the bars have big screens, and the only problem was that the evening matches kicked off at 2a.m. over there, but that didn’t stop me watching them all!

Me and my girlfriend had some fantastic nights on the island of Koh Phagnan. I remember one game, when Man Utd massacred Roma (was it 7-1?). We were watching it on a big screen in an open bar, but it was the monsoon season!

It absolutely bucketed it down for the whole match, but it was still warm and i was only wearing shorts and a tee-shirt.

Anyway, back to the GunnerThailand site. Okay i didn’t learn any Thai as most of them speak very good English, but if you visit their home page, you can see that they have a very professional design, with loads of different sections.

They have the video highlights section. They produce a monthly Gunner Mag (I’m afraid you have to be a premium member to access it, but the headlines are in English).

They also have a news section, team stats, a photo-gallery, the Gunners Talk forum, and my favourite the Gunner Sexy section! Honestly you don’t need to speak Thai to look at the pictures!

All-in-all i was very impressed with the site as a whole. I even registered and went onto the Shoutbox to speak to some fans.

If you visit the JustArsenal homepage on FaceBook, you can see that Hidra posted some Thai translations for me.

Yeah i know, it is difficult! But if you are an Arsenal fan on Facebook, look for Hidra and add her as a friend, she likes talking to Arsenal fans everywhere. And if you fancy looking at an Arsenal site with a difference, get over to GunnerThailand.com for a peek. But don’t spend too long on the Gunner Sexy page (I know i did LOL!) So many threads….so many girls………..
