Arsenal have NOT asked about Szalai from Mainz
There have been rumours linking Arsenal with a number of strikers before and during this current transfer window, but nothing concrete has happened yet, except for Barcelona president Sandro Rosell categorically stating that they will not sell David Villa. Arsenal fans must have been slightly worried, then, when stories appeared claiming that the Gunners had focused their attention on the less than household name of Adam Szalai from the German Bundesliga side Mainz.
Szalai is a 25-year old Hungarian striker. The 6ft 5in player has a decent scoring record for his club this season, with 11 goals from 20 league and cup games. He also has seven international goals from 14 games, but in previous seasons at Mainz his tally was underwhelming to say the least.
It seems like we do not have to worry, however, as the manager of the German club, Christian Heidel, has denied any contact with Arsenal.
“Arsenal have not contacted us. We don’t want to let our striker go in the winter transfer window. But it’s another situation if someone wants to pay 20 million euros for him.”
The striker himself has told the media that he has heard nothing, so it seems to be just a rumour. You have to wonder where these things originate.
i would rather go for jovotic then him.

Inter milan has accepted a fee of around 8.2m of Sneijder for Galatasaray.
So acc to wenger Sneijder was not an exceptional player with jst 8.2m to get him.

Get Wenger out! Really pathetic effort he has put in the last 5 years, the team is maybe half as good as it was 5 years ago and now we are in real trouble of not getting our top 4 trophy an in fact we might be lucky to play europA. Highest ticket prices to watch the B team.

we dont need a striker we we have walcott and giroud and podolski too….we need creative right winger and a defensive midfielder……adrian will be goog as he can cover all the 3 front positions …..and we must buy strootman not mvilla nor biglia…strootman is a real leader and is the plyers that our midfield miss

Acc to many reliable sources, Wenger will sign either of the two players from spain for striking position, they r David Villa or Adrian Lopez. If not den he wont sign any1 of dem coz he believes in Giroud,Podolski,Walcott,Gervinho too much. Stubborn wenger

Monsieur Wenger must really be feeling miserable by now. For all his misery, he earns one of the highest pay for managers and has delivered nothing for so long. If he fails to deliver his 4th place trophy this year, I hope somebody will wake up from his delirium and show Wenger the exit door. Gooners have suffered long enough!

To all the uneducated idiots whinging about Wesley Sneijder, ask yourself this. Why would we need him? We have Cazorla, Arteta & Wilshere that can play in his role. His fee may have been £8.2m, but if you had any sort of intelligence you’d know that he left Inter cause he didn’t wanna take a pay cut. His wages are f**king massive and Galatasaray are the only ones willing to pay them.

Like a few others have pointed out, why in the world would we need sneijder when we have 3 players perfectly capable of playing his role, not to talk of his ridiculous wage demands (6 MILLION EUROS per year) it’s got to the point where most fans, on this site anyway, just want to see a ‘big name’ signing whether we need him or not.

@Gunned…im sure he wants to get rid of all the deadwood. He has been trying to do that for a couple of seasons now. Unfortunately its not as easy as you make it sound. We made mistakes, like any club does and we are paying for it now. RVP however said it wasn’t about money btw, he said he was about winning something so if his comments are true then it wouldn’t of mattered how much money we gave him. Apparently the same can be said about most of these mercenaries, even though I doubt it very much.

I do not believe wesley sneijder might be moving to galatasaray,yeah friggin turkish club in a really rubbish league,how can we not go for wesley?? He’s miles better than ramsey so why,I am so fu**ing furious right now.we did not sign ba for 7mill and now we’re not even remotely interested in one of the best midfielders in world football for a less than cut price.I hate arsene wenger and all above in the vip section.
