Arsenal in talks to sign Costa Rican star striker
Now this bit of Arsenal transfer news looks like a typical move by Arsene Wenger in the transfer market. The Mail reports that the Gunners are currently negotiating with the Costa Rican team Deportivo Saprissa for their young striker Joel Campbell (full name: Joel Nathaniel Campbell Samuels).
He has only played a few games but Saprissa, but the 19 year-old has just burst into the limelight this summer, when he managed to score six goals (in just six games) to become the top scorer at the CONCAFAF U20 Championship as his country finished second to Mexico.
He was so impressive he was immediately drafted into the Costa Rica senior team and just last week scored in a 2-0 win over Bolivia in the Copa America.
He is reportedly being tracked by Juventus, AC Milan and Barcelona as well, but it seems that Arsenal have managed to sneak in with a first offer. As he just has 12 months left on his contract at Saprissa, he shouldn’t cost too much…..

I don’t blame nasri and cesc for wanting to jump ship if this is the crap we are reading every day, we all know our weaknesses in the defence yet we are heading to the end of the transfer window and nothing has been done. I can already foresee the normal regrets at the end of the season that our undoing was our defence, all because wenger is to say the least senile arrogant. Madness is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results.

Mr. Wenger get this guy campbell;but keep in mind dat we got one of the best striker VP10;now gervinho ;chamakh& even walcott’s admitting dat he wants this role as wisely so ;bcoz he is a natural striker.but end of the day we want a campbell(in defence) like samba;not in attack .if anything comes out of this rumour i wud be the most happy gooner.

Sign Joel Campbell and ask for the Talent Exception to the Fed. he has not reach 75% of class A games. Ask for the T.E. and give him minutes; try him like you tried Vela at the beggining and you will see that Vela doesnt belong to us; Joel Campbell DOES!!! c’mon Wegner

We are so fucking tried of hearing… Wenger should take time to ponder on how we the fans feel about running a season with trophy aren’t talking abt 1 season or two…. Some players wants to leave.. I believe is coz the haven’t seen changes yet… I urge Wenger to take a bold step
