Arsenal in the market for a new goalkeeper

Posted on October 31, 2009 by admin

It has been reported today that Arsenal are currently in negotiations for a new goalkeeper.

Arsene Wenger doesn’t seem to know who is the best out of Manuel Almunia, Vito Mannone and Lukasz Fabianski, and the Arsenal fans think that there are question marks over all three of them.

So they are talking to Fulham to see if they will release the 17 year-old James Dunn to the Young Gunners on a permanent basis, after joining on emergency loan this month.

According to the Young Guns website, Dunn has been at Fulham for a year since joing them from Millwall, and has already impressed on a loan period at Southend.

They describe Dunn as “..an athletic and agile goalkeeper who has been praised for his speed off his line and his shot stopping ability.”

The Arsenal youths have also had problems with injuries to their goalkeepers, with James Shea and Yilmaz Aksoy both suffering at the moment, which was why Dunn was originally drafted in.

He has obviously impressed Liam Brady enough for him to make the move permanent ahead of Dunn’s 18th birthday in December.

Buy him and see who will impress us best. But iam seeing Aluminia out, since he sometimes makes unneccessary makes at this mature age. Let the young ones try goal keeping and they will have high moral.
