Arsenal launch late nine-figure club-record bid to sign Barcelona star

Arsenal are claimed to have launched a late move to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona, with a club-record fee being mooted.

The Gunners have been linked with the French international for most of the transfer window, with question marks having been raised over his starting position.

The Catalan giants have moved to bring in Malcolm from Bordeaux this summer, in a last-minute move after he had apparently already agreed a deal with Roma, with the Italian side having already announced his arrival.

Ousmane struggled with injury last term, and then failed to regain full fitness prior to the end of the campaign, and there has been a cloud of doubt about him since.

Reports in Spain are now claiming that a late offer has come in from our side, with us believed to have failed to iron out a loan deal with Barca previously.

Could our club pull off a huge coup and bring in Ousmane? Fingers crossed we can!

  1. 100m euros?
As much as I want this to happen, I don’t think Barca will go for that amount (personal opinion).
With a loss of about £50m?
I still think the loan deal will be the best option. Either that, or pay more to get your man.
I hope this goes through though. This and a top defender. Our attack line will be really scary 🙂

    1. @ rkw
      And paid in
      one peso coins.
All of which must be counted by hand
That is 2 billion 155 million 195 thousand and 46 coins.
Ahh you made a mistake count them again 🙂

  2. Click bait! There is no such news on credible football news sources such as Sky Sports, unless you took it from some shady Twitter account

Even if it is true, I would consider the last-minute offer as another attempt from Arsenal to entice their fans without spending a single cent. Remember the deplorable last-minute attempt on Thomas Lemar and the Luis Suarez offer?

They have missed Adama Traore which was very cheap. Mark my words, he would be the top clubs’ target next season, if he doesn’t get injured this season

    1. If it was true Sky Sports wouldn’t report it until the deal was done, they only tout rumours for Manchester United and as much as they’ve tried, especially with Maguire, they’ve still failed to find them a centre half. Leicester should nick ’em. Pleased also that Tottenham have failed to get Grealish, I rate this kid and well worth the £30 Million + that Villa want.

      1. Another one that makes me laugh is Paul Merson. Remember last year when he was having a pop at Lacazette and talking up Morata. “This boy’s the best striker in England and his going to get Chelsea a lot of goals”. Talks out of his arse.

  4. Whatever same lies an horse manure every window
    Boring now

We speculate and dream every window
An end up spending like a mid table club or worse

This club feeds lies from the top . An we pay highest prices for the pleasure

    1. Our club has the worst PR advisers ever.

After angering so many people with the take over one would think they would try to drawn that with a wow signing. A marque player to announce the new chapter, someone to drive jersey sales, attract new fans (especially the younger generation) & someone to tell the football world that the mighty Arsenal is back. What do they decide to do, go quiet on one of the most exciting days in football.

They can learn a lot from the Juve management team, they don’t play around that side.

  5. According to “reports”
    Barca and Arsenal have
    agreed to exchange
    Carl Jenkinson for Lionel Messi.
    Arsenal’s most credible transfer source
Kev confirmed it’s a done deal.

  6. Chill out guys, there’s Jan t.w and I’m sure you want innings next summer as well.let’s just see how Emery sets up. I assure you there’ll be more wingers available by the next window & we’ll buy.

  7. If Arsenal were to sign any player we would have woken up to that news yesterday or atleast this morning.

With an hour & some minutes left it will be hard to believe any rumour even from Sky Sports or BBC.

We are done here so lets move on boys. Lets talk line up’s for the upcoming games & how our defence will cope with City attackers.

  8. Why would they try to get Dembele when there are gaping holes in the back line and mid-field is still without the enforcer?

    1. Midfield enforcer? We signed Torreira a few weeks ago. Perhaps you was on holiday and missed it.

  9. Never gonna happen, and in fact I’ve not seen anything special from him to justify his ridiculous price tag. He was injured most of the time last season & spent more time on the bench at the World cup. I would rather get Ronaldo at 33yrs than Dembele at 21yrs old.

    1. exactly. I thought Barca were crazy for spending that money on him. Mbappe I think was not much more. I know who I’d rather have. Dembele only showed glimpses at Dortmund, and glimpses at Barca as well. He still needs to justify his pricetag. And the fact Dechamps doesn’t trust him either also tells you something. And this isn’t me being bitter he “rejected” us or he’s not coming, cause I never believed it to begin with.

  10. Well it looks like the ‘We must have a winger’ bandwagon has just hit the buffers! Smashed egos scattered as far as the eye can see and Chiza’s lies laid open to ridicule! Great day!
