Arsenal lining up £15m bid for Edin Dzeko?
The Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger announced yesterday that he will have to look into buying another striker in January after Robin Van Persie was ruled out for the rest of the season, so it was certain that the press would start throwing Arsenal transfer rumours at us all.
Well the Sun has jumped in this morning with an article saying that Wenger is keen to sign the £15m-rated Wolfsburg hitman Edin Dzeko.
During the summer, Dzeko was constantly linked with a switch to Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal after scoring 36 goals for the German Champions last season, and he has continued in blistering form this season with another 13, so he is certainly a man in form in the Bundesliga.
Because of all the speculation in the summer, Wolfsburg gave Dzeko a new improved four-year contract, but the Sun thinks they will be forced to sell him if they fail to qualify for the knock-out stages of the Champions League, but they don’t actually say why?
Is this just a bit of space-filling by the Sun? I have a feeling it is!

What is dissapointing is that for another year we are left fighting fires in January because the squad wasn’t balanced correctly at the start of the season.

Sorry to put a dampener on this rumour, however although Dzeko has a release clause in his current contract, the Wolfsburg trainer Armin Veh indicated last weekend that they were looking for transfer fee in the region of €40m

well, u know usually if anyone scores against utd he gets signed up by them. I suppose Dzeko is different as he isn’t a Spurs player.
