Arsenal linked with £10m Dutch international star
New Dutch sensation Kevin Strootman is due to become the next big thing in Football, and according to today’s TalkSport, the 22-year-old midfielder has attracted the interest of the Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
The PSV star has managed to make his breakthrough to the senior Netherlands national team last year causing City’s Nigel De Jong to become not much more than a benchwarmer, and he’s managed to gather 10 appearances for the Dutch squad already and also score his first goal. His debut for the national team coincided with his move from Utrecht to PSV, where he fast became one of the most important players.
Now after only one season in the red-white colors, he is ready to move on to the next level in his career and it seems that he might change the jersey he currently has with another red-white colored jersey, but one which comes with a much greater responsibility!
According to the same source, Manchester United is also on Strootman’s trail whom Ferguson compared with his old stalwart Roy Keane. Italian side AC Milan is also due to have a say in his transfer, and the £10m transfer fee PSV is looking for won’t help to reduce the long list of interested clubs.

Strootman is a quality player and will be a Great signing however he would have to be willing to sit on the bench…. But defo a player for the future

Dont give a hoot about stroot, buy two or three quality experienced players, and we will be ready to challenge for the premiership, and use the money to keep RVP!

@Craig2500,
Strootman and Eriksen are different types of players, Eriksen is a skillful playmaker however, Strootman is a well-rounded central midfielder, kind of in between arteta and song, I’m not sure who is better, probably Strootman because he suits the English game more and would keep the balance of our midfield similar if he came in, he would probably challenge arteta for a place in the starting xi

You should support darts, or cards playing of some sort… not football because you just don’t seem to understand it.

@ Bob thanks
Think thats what admin should do rather than just repost news articles, look at each player their strengths/skills/stats and evaluate who we SHOULD buy.
read a good article about soccernomics which is a method used by teams to determine players.
could be something we could discuss on here

He has a vicious left foot, just like our Dutchman. I wonder if Wenger has spotted the potential for a future striker rather than a CDM? He could learn from RVP for a few seasons before he retires.

Strootman isnt ready for this level of football yet.
He has great talent, but he is definitly not at Arsenal level.
As for Eriksen… Ive watched him lots of times, and he is a great talent, but again he woulnd make the squad yet and thats not what Arsenal need at the moment

Ur an idiot u clearly dont understand it. top sides for example real madrid barcelona man utd buy proven stars hence they dont go through droughts of no trophies. Wenger is a genius in the transfer market but cant keep pulling out gems for very little, im all for buying youth and unproven talent but not to the detriment of the first eleven being competitive with the best in europe. any arsenal fan would agree its proven talent we want we just need two or three then by all means take as many punts in the transfer market as you like wenger.
