Arsenal linked with £18m Italian goal machine
Today’s Arsenal transfer rumour comes out of Italy, and probably generated by the loss of Robin Van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner to injury.
The Italian papers say that Arsene Wenger is considering an £18m bid for the prolific Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini, who has scored 8 goals in 13 appearances this season in Serie A.
They say that Sampdoria are willing to listen to offers, but i can’t understand why they could possibly be interested in selling a striker that has only been at the club for a year, and has scored 19 goals for them in that time!
Pazzini still has three years left on his present contract, and was also linked with Chelsea a couple of weeks ago.
Another reason that this is highly unlikely is that just yesterday Wenger said that he didn’t buy a striker this summer because he wanted to promote Carlos Vela to the first team, and if he DID want one he can have Chamakh very cheaply.

we all no wenger has to do it this season ,vela has until jan to do the biz or wenger will be left to get bendner going again , really is make or break for some players ,
In any loss marches that arsenal played, like almost 5 to 10 fans use to died.
Why are we always linked to strikers and attacking mids…..we hav plenty of them vela bendtner wilshere merida etc..we need a world class goalkeeper until mannone gets experienced..

i dont think arsen wenger will buy new players or will win any cup this year so iam telling dont be fan arsenal untill wenger goes, or buys news players,,,,, specially those who are in london who goes emirates stadiam,, dont go, one then you will see same thing good,,
Wenger’s tactics against Sunderland was very weak. Played with no strikers, just few attacking midfielders. The lone striker was Eduardo, who is a bit weak.
These managers get in their stubborn gut feelings and try to justify it. AW should have had Thoe, Arshavin, Villa and Eduardo, well, 3 of them.
Arsen should have had, the back 4, Song holding, Cesc and Nasri in the middle. Arshavin, Eduardo and Thoe in up top.
very true Pat, this is just a media gossip. He wont buy him in any case when Chamakh is available for peanuts….
khadar why even bother comment on something you clearly know nothing about!! you don’t just support a team because they are winning if that’s you philosophy support Man united that’s were all the so called fake supporters go!!!! and as for saying to not support then until Wenger goes another stupid statement h made it the club it is today he is prob the best manager in world football….
