Arsenal linked with proven Premiership hitman
All Arsenal fans know that Arsene Wenger is in need of a top class striker to act as cover for Robin Van Persie (or even as a replacement if the Dutchman leaves at the end of the season).
So with that in mind, the Metro reports this morning that Arsenal are interested in signing the American hitman Clint Dempsey, who is a proven Premiership goalscorer with 15 goals for Fulham so far this season after the striker admitted that is keen on moving to a bigger club.
The 28 year-old is (like Van Persie) going to enter the last year of his contract in the summer, and Dempsey hinted that he would be keen to move on if the right offer came along. He said: “You should never get content.”
“I want to play in the Champions League.”
“Nobody thought I would get this far. I want to go as far as I can.”
I don’t understand how the Metro translates that into some interest from Arsenal, especially as the Gunners have some way to go if they are to retain their place in next season’s Champions League, but who thinks that Dempsey is good enough to be Arsenal’s main striker?
Surely he has got to be better than Chamakh?

I wouldn’t buy him as our main striker replacement, but ea good cover for everywhere in the attacking side of the pitch and I’d love to see us buy him

if we want a player from the EPL we have to buy :
1) Clint Dempsey(can play at any side at the attack)

As promised when i have transfer news i’ll post it or infomation about Arsenal. Unconfirmed at the momment but hope this goes someway to showing you that im real and have infomation about arsenal way before the media release it. So here it is……
Arsenal are looking to bring CARLOS VELA back from his loan from REAL SOCIEDAD. Vela’s car was at the EMIRATES yesterday and has told Arsenal he wants to complete his LOAN at Real Sociedad. Arsenal are thinking about rejecting the request and bringing him back so he can play on the left side while Gervinho is away or incase of injurys in the strikers department.
IT is unconfirmed at the momment and just speculation so im just passing on the news i hear. If it comes out by the media after a few days/hours you’ll know that i have infomation about ARSENAL before the media releases it. Just a quick note that sometimes news i get does not materialse but very rarely due to the club pulling out and denying all contact. Im 70% sure this is real.

Who’s comment was it in this article that said we should buy Tevez, Hazard (who doesn’t want to come anyway) and a defender? You pick two of the most expensive players going around with Tevez salary sky high and Hazard who wants Barca or Madrid, it just shows you what kind of fans we have that make so much noise for such simple minded fools. Are we Chelsea or city? Are we Madrid or Barca? No, we are Arsenal so stop the stupid spoilt brat saying, ‘shut up mum and get me this, this and that now!!!! Else I will cry and stamp my feet and say I hate you I wish I had a better mother than you! A mother that will get me what ever I want when I want! Same kid that does not care if mum is going to be in debt cos the kid doesn’t understand debt, money and the future… AMG or AAA are all like that!

I would love to see dempsey at the emirates. He can score from anywhere as an attacker, even as a sub for rvp If that’s the route arsene takes.

Why do people write lists of transfers? The transfer window does not work like that. For a start the players we sell have to agree to the move, the players you want to buy need to want to play for Arsenal. Terms and agreements take weeks to thrash out. Players can’t be bought until the cash from sold players is in the bank. This takes weeks too.
Dempsy is ok, but why don’t we just bring back Bendtner or Vela?

How would buying those players put us in debt when you consider we sold 2 of our best players for nearly 50 mil. Get rid of some of the useless players whose wages we are paying and we can easily afford their wages

Blackburn have turned down Sambas request, Hazard does not want to come here, we tried to sign Dempsey in the summer and Fulham would not sell, Rosicky and Arsh don’t want to leave etc etc. These lists with values and swaps being suggested are hilarious.

A few goals & all of a sudden we should buy Dempsey? I’d much rather us get Ba. Can you imagine how many goals Ba could get being set up by Chamberlain every week? Ba is awesome at finishing compared to Dempsey. Dempsey has 42 goals from 149 appearances whereas Ba has 15 goals in 19 appearances for newcastle..Enough said?!

Dempsey isn’t an out and out striker but he is a very good versatile honest player with an eye for goal. I reckon he would be an excellent buy apart from RVP he’s better than anything we have as a goal threat. Oh and he can head the ball.

Buy him! Trade Rosicky + $$$! Dempsey is a great AM and gives 110% every game. He’s fast and strong. Everything we need and he won’t break the bank. How many goals are our other midfielders giving us right now? Unless Wenger just has something against an American on the team it’s just the type of player/business he loved to do. Years of EPL and International experience. I’d have Clint in Landon Donovan play for us.

We really need reinforcements @ the Emirates. If truly Arsene wenger wants a top four finish for Arsenal then he should go into the market and get G̶̲̥̅Ơ̴̴̴̴͡.̮Ơ̴̴̴͡D̶̲̥̅ players. Yeah,gourcuff will be a good addition but I still think hazard or probably gotze will be excellent additions. considering the fact that they are still very young (19-22) and also their versatility. This can be seen particularly in hazard who I think can play as a DMF,CMF,LMF,RMF and also an AMF. Arsene can break the bank for this guy who I feel can be among the best midfielders that can play @ ARSENAL,if not the best.
