Arsenal linked with top Russian midfielder
In a week with countless transfer rumours flying around the Emirates, the potential Arsenal interest in young Russian sensation Alan Dzagoev is another to add to the list. The 21 year-old CSKA Moscow attacking midfielder has scored 3 goals this season, with his club sitting comfortably in second place.
With Arteta looking tired, Ramsey currently incompetent and Wilshere out injured, such a move would provide some extra flair and creativity to the centre of the team. Described as “the most talented young footballer in Russia” by countryman Arshavin, the youngster is also very brave, diving in for headers regardless of surrounding swinging boots.
Not only that, but he has often been described as a potential future captain for the national side. Despite his tender years, Dzagoev has no worries regarding instructing even the more experienced members of the CSKA squad and has therefore become a fans’ favourite.
With a lack of leadership qualities throughout the Arsenal team, it would be interesting to see whether his youthful guidance would help them. He may still be relatively inexperienced but the fact that he has played at full international level puts him ahead of other potential Arsenal signings such as Ousmane Drame or Paco Alcacer.
Transfers like this are often very risky but I think such a passionate player like Dzagoev would relish the chance of digging Arsenal out of the rut.

Can someone please explain to me why Ramsey is playing ahead of Rosicky? Ramsey still seem like an apprentice to me, Rosicky is a proven and experienced superb midfielder. It should be Rosicky, Arteta and Alex Song in the midfield.
Secondly, Mr. Wenger seem to favour nationality ahead of perfomances because that is the only explanation i have for Coquelin on the field against Tottenham while Frimpong sits on the bench.

I’ve seen him play for cska against Inter he was excellent he reminded me of cesc with his passing, composure,always looking for the ball and always in control of the game

This kid will be very good in a couple years, he would be a great signing in January. Arsenal need top class signings, tevez is a long shot bc of salary and hazard looks to be going to real. I wouldn’t mind dragoev but I’d prefer Douglas-costa or renato augusto

If we match Mertesacker with Howedes and Vermaelen with Vertongen then why not Asharvin with Dzagoev. Two of each species, beginning to sound like Noah`s ark. Tell you what, it could just work.

If Dzagoev is the only playr we sign in January I will be happy. Lets not fool ourselves Arsene will shell out for Goetze, Mvilla or Hazard. But this boy is within our reach and what urge do we need again after Andrey Arshavin gave his blessings. A playmaker that scores, that is in control, that holds play up n reduces pressure on the defence, that is what Cesc was, that is what this guy is, I will be gutted if we loose this one too. But wont be surprised cos just few years ago VP begged Wenger to sign Vandervart…n we know the story today
