Arsenal missing Diaby as Cazorla needs help
Arsenal were poor all over the pitch yesterday, but the most worrying thing for me was the failure to create any decent chances. You cannot blame Giroud for not scoring if he doesn’t get anything to work with and you can’t win a game if you don’t score.
Throughout the game, Norwich got more confident and adventurous as they realised that they were in no danger. Okay, the defenders and keeper were at fault for Holt’s goal but that only cost us a point from what would otherwise have been a bore draw. The mainproblem was Arsenal’s reliance on Santi Cazorla to provide inspiration and control the game.
With Diaby in the side, Arsenal had more options. If a team decided to surround Cazorla, then Diaby could exploit the space but without him, Ramsey cannot unlock defences and our attacking threat is nullified. Wilshere can also provide a foil for Cazorla but we must be patient and not expect too much too soon.
It would be fantastic if he hit the ground running but I fear that Arsenal fans will be disappointed if he doesn’t. We need Diaby back soon and before then Wenger needs to find another formation, because you can guarantee that every team from now on will concentrate on stopping Cazorla.

All off them are injured that’s 10 first team players allout for atleast a week or 2 most longer. If we take out 10 chelsea players who are of the same importance as arsenals 10 I doubt they would do very well.

We ain’t missing diaby , we’ve never had diaby more than 2 games to miss him! We’re missing a top striker ,all the rest of the top 5 teams in the league have top striker,s who are clinical . We’re a team full of midfielders.

forget diaby he is talented & good when fit but is injury prone & coquelin is not a proper cdm we need m’vila or fellaini along with a goal scoring striker like llorente & please don’t mention the bullsh*t of him bieng similar with giroud this season llorente only played for 10 mins for bilbao & has scored a goal wwe need him & adrian lopez in case theo leaves

Typical! It’s almost like ‘fans’ like you are just waiting for us to lose so you can pipe up and say stupid things like sack the board, sack the manager, sack the cleaner, sack the dinner lady, etc, etc…
It’s got to a stage where we can’t even mis-place a pass without people like you jumping all over them. Give it a rest will you and start supporting the team through thick and thin.
Yes we were poor yesterday but I put it down to a bad day at the office. We’ll recover and kick on. It was just one of those days yesterday.
I agree somewhat with the article… We’re relying a bit on Santi but hopefully if Jack comes back well, he’ll support with creativity… And hopefully Diaby can get fit, Rosicky also.

arsene wenger should have changed his tactics we were too predictable from min 1 it was obivious that norwich would put 10 men behind the ball isolate giroud cut out the mf & result we wouldn’t be able to score a goal this happened in the past we should have changed our formation soon from 4-2-3-1 to either 4-4-2/3-4-3 or 3-5-2 barca new coach have applied this & it works for them all arsenal did was they had the possesion in the wrong areas knock the ball to the wings but couldn’t play it through the middle & we paid the price for that

It has been revealed that if any team can stop cazorla from playing, nobody else can step up his game in terms of creativity. Then we are below par according to the coach. Creativities should be expected from all the midfielders not only from centre midfield. Walcot, arshavin, chamberlain, gervinho are not technical enough to get past defenders from tight angles. We need players like adrian lopez and a midfield connector, energetic as fellaini of everton. A reliable striker just like jovetic or Llorente. Thank’s 4 reading this. Gunners 4 life.

We have had moments this season where we have played really well.
Remember we played a Norwich side without a win this season and who had to simply win, or be considered early relegation candidates. They simply wanted it more. Last term they were a mid table team and stamped their names in the premier league along with Swansea.
We played without hunger and sharpness.
I think, like admins says, We needed Diaby, but I still think we could have won if we had played…football. Thats got to be the worst display I have seen in a while. But I still think Nowich really wanted it a deserve credit.
Ive been pissed off and Disgusted since, but there’s no point Fn of Wenger and the board. Next games Midweek!
Arsenal FC, Wenger and us as fans, need to pick our selves up and move on from this.

in case you didn’t notice we have not been winning anything for over 7 years, so no need to wait for us to lose to speak our minds.
As soon as the defense AW inherited from previous managers and David Dein left the team has gone backwards.
I went to my first game 43 years ago years and supported the club through thick and thin but enough is enough.
I am sorry if you have only been a fan for the past 16 but if you love wenger so much you are free to follow him when he eventually does go.

Well this is how i see it.I think we all got a little carried away when we thought at long last our defence was looking have decent,but reality has hit home and we are back to the usually errors.The club spends no money.You all have to accept this.It will attempt to balance the books each season or even make profit.So we will NEVER ,in the short term,compete with the likes of Chelsea and the Man clubs.The best we can hope for is top 4 and may be a minor domestic trophy.I know that every start of the season we all hope of glory ,but as usual by xmas its all over and this season will probably be the same.Our best hope is the League cup this season and at least if we win this it would be a start.At present we have as much chance of winning the Premiership or champions league as England has i winning thw world cup.None

Teams have learned how to counter our passing game…if Arsenal wants to continue this style we have to improve the passing game speed and creavety to perfection and this is only possible buy sighning high quelety players…..the most suiteble ones are the gifted players from spain….Navas,Isco comes to my mind…

I hate to say this but we are simply not good enough to challenge for the title, as we all knew at the beginning of the season. This team finds it mentally difficult to get up for the games against teams like Norwich and struggle against teams like Chelsea!
I was totally ashamed at that performance yesterday I would have preferred the manager to come out and state exactly that! Instead of all that nonsense about we lacked sharpness….we lacked PASSION DESIRE HUNGER and COMMITMENT
if we don’t pull our socks up 4th spot don’t look good

These same tactics have been employed by stoke and sunderland, with them holding us to a draw and being more than happy with the point. soon all teams will set out like this against us and have this mentality and we are going to have a very hard battle on our hands unless we change something up. im not a coach so i dont know what to do but it feels as if teams our starting to get our number.

Arteta’s corner was more dangerous than the 10 corners taken by Cazorla.
Also alongside cazorla, we need a player who can lift the ball over the opposition when they defend with 10 men(fabregas-like ball). I believe Eisfeld can do it. A Midfield trio of Cazorla,Eisfeld and Arteta will be good.
In this season we lacked creativity when the opposition defended with 10 men.

Shows how much you know/don’t know. So Lehman, Cole, Toure, Campbell and Lauren were inherited we’re they? You’ve clearly been sucked into jumping on the bandwagon.
If you can possibly bring yourself to think about the positive things about our club, you’ll clearly remember that the players mentioned were the defence that went the whole season unbeaten. Doesn’t know what he’s doing that Arsene does he?!
Yes we haven’t won anything in 7 years but we have competed for the league in most seasons, got to the final in the Champions’ League (and have kept qualifying) and stupidly lost the Carlign Cup final. I agree that’s not enough but with the background of moving to the new stadium and financing it (along with the oil clubs being ploughed with money) then its understandable.
So, instead of asking me to follow Arsene out of he door, I suggest it is you that should find another club to moan about (glory hunt) as Arsenal has clearly not provided you with enough success over the years. Bye bye and good riddance.

i agree with james…we dont have a sharp striker..MAN Uis scoring becoz the have three sharp strikers.. welbeck RVP and Rooney,thats the fact ,chelsea the same, MAN CITY the same new castle the same. no wonder their strikers are top scorers now …i tell u this season top 4 i doubt , consistency is not their..that was not the game we were supposed to loose….wenger is no longer a motivator in the camp i suggest

Wow some of you guys on here are so deluded it makes me sick. You’ve obviously never been in a game where your “supposed” to win on paper. The team did not click. There isn’t just one answer to this situation. We lost to a team that had it mentally from the beginning. We often get scored on and then this fire is lit under our ass but not this day. Ramsey to me shouldn’t even be in our squad. He wouldn’t make any of the top 4 teams bench but starts for us. Ox should start over him and why he doesn’t is ridiculous. Yes I know he’s a winger but he’s played midfield before and to me is faster stronger more creative than Ramsey. It hurt us not having the Kos and Walcott. Say what you will about Walcott but to me he’s a super sub or a person you wish if he starts, that you don’t want to defend against. His pace alone makes defense push back more so that alone is a very useful weapon. There’s so much more than naming names and calling it a bad day at the office.. I’m a REAL Gooner and will not get into a tantrum over the club on the Internet I love this club and will through the roughest and greatest of times. Really when it all comes down to it… The 11 men on the field are the only ones who can win a match not the fans or the manager or the board… So why not give them your full backing instead of being two faced and only follow them when their winning.. If its like that I’m sure you can join the thousand of man city man u and chelski fans that have done the very same thing

Thanks for finding the handful of players you mentioned because David Dein bought them all.
And before you say it was not Dein and think about giving the credit to Wenger I would just like to remind you that all the wenger brigade say that the manager has nothing to do with the signings and that it is down to the chief exec who is currently the man shitty supporting Gazidis.
AFC is life for me it matters more than wenger and any money grabbing shareholder or member of the board.
AFC comes first in my family who are almost into our fifth generations of gooners so I aint going nowhere mate. I will always state my opinion whether deluded wenger lovers like it or not becuase the manager does not come before the club like he does for you lot.
He has had his time in the limelight and both he and our club should move on in opposite directions
It would have been great if he had left AFC before he took us to our worst defeat in the PL, ECL, so we would have been able to remember him for the positives and not the continuous negatives.

The Moment Arsenal lost a game, hell is let loose forgetting that Man U had lost two also though won more matches. Some of you are good managers only good for your beds, leave the team alone if you can not support the team when things are not going well. It is not compulsory you support the team.

Firstly, can only blame internationals for the break in momentum, most of our players were on the bench.
Secondly, we don’t move when teams press. 10 men behind the ball used to be countered by quick passes and triangles. We used to be able to pass and control in small spaces. now days no one has that skill and run more.
Thirdly, everyone can see Ramsey is not a player to control the middle and not strong enough to except Wenger.
Lastly, we’re the only team to have a target man type striker but not a single player who can cross a bloody ball. I also can’t understand why we’re so poor at scoring from corners.

the real problem was highlighted because of Gibbs injury. Since santos isn’t as quick as Gibbs arsenal can’t attack on the left wing (most used and efficient attacking side). Now arsenal’s right side hasn’t really been used as an attacking machine for reason that may include the weak partnership with Jenkinson and Gervinhp. So the most sensible option is through the middle. Arsenal a still not capable of creating and scoring goals, and that needs to be dealt with. They need too be able to charge their opponents, pass and score on all areas of the pitch to become efficient at attacking making chances and scoring. I still haven’t lost hope but it would’ve sweet to be in four.

The problem is Wenger is to afraid to make a change of his team.. the phobia of ‘never change the winning team’ is the problem..
Cozorla need rest.. He can’t fit every games.
Mertesacker just had a very bad day again Sweden.. 4 goals in 30 minutes..
Gervinho also tired after long journey from Africa..
On the other hand some player rest to long and eager to play.. Arshavin, Coquelin, Sagna and Wilshere is ready to play..
So the problem is rotation..

Maybe the manager should take a walk. He is too comfortable with having average players. Maybe United should do him another favour by drubbing us 8-2 then the board will wake up.It can so painful supporting a team with a different transfer view as the fans and some of the senior players.That was why we lost RVP and Song.We have a s..t board and a manager that tolerates nonsense.Mancini threatened to resign when City wanted to listen to offers for Balotelli.That is a manager that wants to do well.

As I have been saying all last season and this season. Cazorla is very good, he is a very good player, but he is not a CM, he is like Iniesta, Attacking midfielder, Cazorla goes missing in games, I have been saying it and will say it again, we are still missing CESC, that guy dominated the midfield of any team we played. He used to do those over the defence killer passes. We are missing them now.

Funny, a month ago people were saying “Arsenal do have depth in the team” and now look at us. When our starting XI players fail us, we have nobody to come in and change the game.
Look at Edin Dzeko. Guess who’s scored City 5 goals for them, 3 of them being winning goals. And from 7 games, he’s started 2. He literally all by himself won the game for City yesterday.
And the fool who said 3 weeks ago: “Hey, in the end of October we going to have complitely injury-free squad in ages!!”, please step up to see our situation now.

y is every one blaming Giroud. i never saw any good pass from the midfielders to him that would have allowed him score a goal. Unless u want him to do a maradonna dribbling every one to score. i blamed him when santi gave him some good passes which he threw away earlier on in the season but as for yesterday the midfielders were to blame. they didnt create any good chances. And i think the missing link was Gibbs

Is this really what its come to, a reliance on an injury prone gangly Frenchman who just twists and turns all over the park and gets out muscled by players half his size.
How about Wenger actually reaches back in to his pocket and buys a proper French midfielder like Yohan Cabaye.
Adrian + Cabaye + cheap experienced goalkeeper to show Szseseny the works could get this team back on its feet.
Not too much to ask if all of this talk about £50 mil is true.

We were saying after chelsea defeat that its not the games against chelseas and manc that we should be winning but the games against norwichs and wigans…but hey here we are lost to norwich…this type of games defines title winning season…i don’t know if its down to injuries or off day..but it was a game that we should be winning that too comfortably….
I am not moaning about anything….i like our side but it is far from wat a title winning side is…10 point gap between us and league leaders after just 8 games is not so good…hope we will bounce back…could do without injuries to others…cuz our injury list always seems to be long…

We needed creative players that pushed up from the side as Norwich players were too sticky and strong invidually that led the Arsenal midfield players back. The attack could not be centered due to their strong active players being to sticky in the middle. The best option was to attack the goal post by long shoot direct to the goalmouth.Carzorla could not move further up with two/three players just behind to control his movement. Speed is the best attacking solution like Rosicky.

Arsenal need a true CDM, how ironic is it that Arsenal’s recent run (i.e. Chelsea/Norwich) has happened when Diaby was not in the squad? A CDM like M’Vila is needed if Diaby cannot play a whole season. A new striker is also needed, if Wenger wants to get one thats not too expensive he should go for Ba or even Lopez if they really wnat to make a statement they need to go for Falcao! A CDM like M’Vila is needed then after those 2 positions are filled a goal keeper would be good.
