Arsenal on the Up- Giroud and Wenger part 1

Posted on September 11, 2012 by Bob

Giroud freezing up, or a slow starter? No worries we’ve got Wenger by PN

Welcome to the EPL Olivier Giroud, you’ve heard about it, you’ve seen it on TV, now you are living it!

AFC’s new  point man Oliver Giroud has said in an interview with FIFA’s official website that

“I’ve been freezing up a little bit just when I’ve been about to pull the trigger” when asked about not scoring his first goal yet.

He then pointed out that his first goal for Tours only came in his 7th/8th game and that his tally at Montpelier only kicked off in his 4th game. It’s easy to see that OG (Olivier Giroud) is maybe just a tad bit too anxious to break that duck, as he pointed out, he takes a moment or two to settle in and he is playing in the best league in the world hey?

You have to give him credit for speaking his mind and not trying to make excuses. Methinks the lad is a ‘slow starter’ & has a lot to promise under the master’s tutelage.

Giroud always scores 20+ goals in his second season, so don’t lose hope if his not scoring at the moment?

The media is always on him, as well as the fans. It is natural and good for him to speak his mind in regard to his unability to score in the first 3 matches.

Giroud scored one aerial goal in Ligue 1 last season why not get a Llorente at a bargain before 1 of these Falcao chasers pounce on him as a backup plan Llorente scored 29 goals last season with 28 coming from open play including goals against Real Madrid who opened scoring at Bernabeu against. Barcelona and home and away goals against Man U in d europa league

Henry took 9 games to bag his first goal for Arsenal and he turned out pretty good. Giroud will be a great player and he’s got a track record to prove it.

Chamakh scored his 1st EPL goal (he scored a few in pre season)in the 2nd game AND that IF you didn’t count his actual 1st goal in the 1st EPL game (against Liverpool) where his header hit the post & hit Reina enroute to goal counted as an own goal! Chamakh went on to be the ONLY player in UEFA CL to score in 6 CONSECUTIVE UCL matches!(3 for Arsenal + 3 Bordeux). His form only dipped when Van Purse-e came back from injury & replace him in 1st 11 resulting in him getting limited playtime.
How fast peopla forget…. Give Chamakh another chance… i still believe in him as much as You guys (including me) have faith in Giroud…
