Arsenal Planning New €30Million Bid For French International
If you go on all the different Arsenal forums the same names keep cropping up as who the fans would love to see come to the club. One of those names is Yann M’Vila of Rennes, and today reports in France suggest that Arsenal are planning to break their club record transfer with a fresh bid in January.
On deadline day reports suggested that Arsenal made a bid for M’Vila, believed to be in the region of £26million, and that was confirmed by Rennes coach Frederic Antonetti. Arsenal were one of four clubs by all accounts that actually made a bid, and the only reason why Rennes refused to sell was because they had no time to sign a replacement themselves due to the lateness of the bid.
With the squad getting smaller by the day due to injuries, and other players playing below their best, a fresh bid is expected in January as Arsene Wenger not only looks to save Arsenal’s season, but possibly his job.

Jack Wilshere is expected to return around February time, but that is all well and good if the medical team have got their dates right, so Wenger is taking no chances.
According to the reports in France Arsenal scouts have been keeping a regular eye on M’Vila since the start of the season, and Rennes are expecting Arsenal to come calling once the transfer window reopens and they look as though they are prepared to do business.
Lets hope these reports turn out to be true. We left it too late in the summer, but maybe just maybe Arsene will get his man in January.

i believe wenger will turn the table side down up after the market reopens. right now arsenal is totally upside down. i believe wenger is the best man for arsenal. and i believe arsenal is not doom yet. i believe arsenal will fight till the end. i believe arsenal will win something this season. i believe arsenal will be finishing top 4. i believe arsenal will beat manchester united, newcastle, blackburn, SPUDS and liverpool when they come over at our home. i believe ARSENAL WILL BE STRONGER THAN EVER. i believe RVP, vermaelen and walcott will sign a new contract. I think if we get this kid and yoann gourcuff were gonna rock the prem again. We were unlucky though wilshere out late singnigns vermaelen injured i can keep going on but keep the faith ..

Wenger can’t sign one player and think he will save our club from impending doom. He needs to sign at least 5 world class players. 2 defenders, 2 midfielders and a striker. If I was him I would get rid of Djoure, Squillaci, Rosicky, Chamakh, Jenkinson, Koss, Ramsey, Arshavin. Now with all those players being sold we can accumulate at least 40m. With whatever money we had to start with in January (who knows what happened to the money we made off Clichy, Fabregas, Nasri, Bendtner etc) we should have at least 100m – 130m to spend, probably even more. With 130m we can buy 5 world class players. After the January transfer our regular players should look something like this:
Scezny, Santos, Verminator, Vertonghen, Mertesacker, Cahill, Gibbs, Sagna, Pong, Song, M’vila, Hazard, Arteta, Wilshere, Coquelin, Gervinho, Walcott, RVP, Park,
Miyachi, Gomez
With that team I believe we can dominate. Strength in all areas and depth in the squad. Perhaps we need a brute of a striker up front, Gomez might be a bit soft.

If only made 20M in operating profit this year, then we are definitely going to loose money next season if we don’t make the champions league. Not only that, but last year we still have renveues from the highbury appartments, something which we won’t have next year.
Other source of income: bigger fan base, more merchandizing. For that to happen, Arsenal has to start bringing results.

Funny enough how we can sell players for 20m plus but can never spend that amount on replacements.I’m thru wit wengers lies jus like he’s wife is keep on dreaming about the pie in the sky the reality is this team has had blatently obvious weaknesses which were never adressed .he can blow 50m on panic buys but not 20m on proven talent ? To hell wit wenger and da board I’m no more their c+nt let dem eat other ppls money not mine anymore

I wouldn’t mind seeing m’vila at the emirates. He’s got the talent and can only improve at his age. But I agree with Big Gun, we need at least 5 top class players to really challenge for a place in the CL next year.
Bring in 2 defenders (vertohngen, van der wiel) 2 mids (m’vila, montolivo, Douglas-costa, hazard) and a striker (huntelaar, necid.) these additions will bring arsenal back to the level they were 2-3 years ago. But for now, I pray our defense can hold up without sanga. AND TO ALL THOSE HATING ON RAMSEY, PISS OFF. He’s still a kid and shows glimpses of being world class with his passing. Give him time to get his confidence back. The gunners need their fans to support them through this time of adversity. Not that they see everything written in the blogs and forums but news correspondents do, and the players hear them. SUPPORT ARSENAL FOREVER

People are asking for TOP TOP names to be brought in but that won’t happen due to their high wages. We need to look at 2nd tear players and i just hope the likes of Cahill and Hazard are in that bracket.

that would cost 125M for 5 world class players

I only hope that AW does four things in the next transfer window.
1) Buy players as soon as the window opens and not wait for the last minute.
2) Overhaul the defence by selling Djouru and Squilaci (send Jenkinson on loan) and bringing in some rock solid defenders.
3) Reinforce the midfield with quality players. Arteta and Yossi have been good but I feel we need a player or two who can dominate that midfield and take control when the chips are down. In my view Theo and Arshavin are not dependable. They blow hot and cold (mostly cold) which means you never know how they will perform in a game.
4) AW must be ready to pay for quality players. I dont beleive that we should be breaking the bank like those teams with sugar daddies but looking to buy cheap has some serious downsides which we are victims of now.
Personally i dont want to suggest names of who he should buy, every arsenal fan has his recommendations but AW needs to ensure that he brings in experience into the team and he must be willing to pay for it.

@JOTURNPYK FORGIVE ME. I assumed the Ox was a given lol. He is a great player, he should be played in the first team. I would rather play him than Walcott, he looks more consistent and his finishing touch is far better.
So yes Ox is in for sure! It is just sad that we have a handful of esquisite players surrounded by a bunch of clowns. If the likes of Wilshere, Ox, RVP, Vermalaen, Song could be played next to other players of equal calibre we would have one hell of a team.
Yes it would be a miracle if Wenger is allowed to spend more than 50m in January. As I stated earlier he needs to spend at least 100m to bring AFC back into the titles race. It probably won’t happen. All the other top teams, Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Spurs, United spent way more than us in the last transfer window.
Liverpool had to spend big, they were in a similar position we are in now…and hell yes it has paid off. They are doing much better. And it’s not just splashing out money on world class players, it’s the selection. Charlie Adams was probably one of the best signings they could have done. Why didn’t Arsenal grab him??
I cannot tolerate any more lies and incompetence from Wenger. Half the money assigned to him last transfer he spent on rubbish, and at the last minute at that. So don’t be surprised if he promises ‘world class’ signings again and ends up buying a bunch of clowns. If he does not have the defense sorted out by January I will fly all the way to England just to give him a piece of mind. This is his last season to prove himself worthy of a manager.

I think in January we need Yan M’Villa for 35 mill euros maximum, Eden Hazard is a must, we could sign him for about £30 million. He’s 20 years old and Real Madrid, Man u and Liverpool have all tried to pose hima away but he’s publically stated his desire to join Arsenal and work unde Wenger, plus he’s playing in France. Try and get Cahill on a free and buy Vertoghen forget Samba and Jagielka there too old to build a team around and their good but have reahced their peak in devlopment. Montolivo is a top quality play maker who’s ona freein January, we tried to get him the summer before last. You can’t go wrong with a free even if you just play them in the Carling Cup at least we’ll win something. I’d let Gibbs develop in the first team because he’s defensively better than Clichy and Santos and will be the next A. Cole We needa back up keeper of quality and an out an out striker because no other football team would have their Number 9 striker on the bench against spurs and not bring him on when we’re down 2-1.
