Arsenal Rumours – Argentinian Playmaker To Join in January?
At the beginning of July, when the transfer window officially opened, there was plenty of speculation about a certain Ricky Alvarez joining Arsenal, but Inter Milan supposedly high-jacked the deal and that is where he ended up.
All has not gone well for Alvarez in Italy since his arrival, or for Inter Milan for that matter, and so far this season he has managed just two appearances. Inter boss Gian Piero Gasperini has been sacked today after Inter’s poor start to the season, which has seen the San Siro side pick up just one point from their first three league games, and according to reports the door is now open for Arsenal to make their move for Alvarez once the transfer window opens again in January.
According to the website Metro the two clubs have already been in talks about Alvarez coming to the Emirates on loan, and it is widely known that Arsene Wenger is a fan of the Argentinian. Alvarez was seen as a replacement for Wesley Sneijder, but he remained in Italy after his so called move to Manchester United never materialised, hence why his appearances have been limited.
How do you all feel about taking someone on loan, who was allegedly keen on joining us, but then went somewhere else when the opportunity arose. Ricky Alvarez may be a good player, but I’m sure we can do better in January. Or can we?

May be Alvarez is destined to be an Arsenal player, that is why his defection to Inter has not been favourable to both parties. Arsenal must ensure that they secure his services come January. Up Gooners!

We should not take any player on loan. Let us sign a player we have assessed and convinced that he will add value to our squad particularly the defense.

I doubt that we can do better. If we continue with the mid table mediocrity i doubt that Arsenal would attract the likes of Hazard, M’Villa etc that most of us(including me) would like to see.

He made his choice. Shame it was the wrong one. Don’t want him no matta how good he is as his motivation was not wearing the famous red and white shirt of the mighty ARSENAL.

alvarez is failing to settle in italy and he’s suffering from lost of form.
if an argentinian is unsettled in italy where he’s playing he’s got other argentinian to help him how is he gonna settle in england?

Just another pipe dream. If he comes and does EXCEPTIONALLY well, his value will increase tremendously and he will just head back to Inter when the loan is over simply because AW and the board will not spend that kind of money!
If AW really wanted him in the summer, he would already be in an arsenal shirt at this present moment.

i wouldnt bother with him, at the end of the day it sounds like he had the chance to play for us and didnt fancy it. he may come on loan and play well but does that mean he will sign? i doubt it very much as hes already snubbed us once. bring in someon who actually wants to play for arsenal

the only thing Arsenal should do right now is get in good Physios and help our injured players be back. I hope Arsenal also fire Arsene Wenger and possibly get in Guss Hidink. I hope they could splash the cash on good coaches.

These are just the common/normal fictitious rumours that Arsenal always makes to please and fool its fans! Even in the just recently closed transfer window,how many players did Arsenal say that it wants to buy but did not buy them just because of being so mean/economical with its money and failing to pay the demanded price of those players or being snatched those players by other clubs? Because they said that they want to buy people like Ricky Alvarez, Samba,Gary Cahill,Barton,Scott Parker,Alex Witsel, Baines,and many more/ others! So even this one is just a fictitious rumour/lie so as to just please and fool Arsenal fans but for God’s sake am very sure he WON’T be bought!
