Arsenal target reveals his “dream move”
“I’d prefer to play in Spain than in the Premier League,” Gotze told Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. “Spanish football is better suited to my qualities.”
“Every footballer’s dream is to play in Spain. There are many great teams there like Real Madrid or Barcelona.”
However, the Germany international also insisted that he is not eager to leave the Ruhr area club, in the immediate future, despite enjoying the interest shown in him.
“I do not know how serious and concrete these requests are, but I am not busy with the possibility of moving,” he said. “But of course, such offers flatter me.”
That was a conclusive, categorical answer to the German press by Mario Gotze. His statement about “every footballer’s dream” being to “play in Spain” might be disputed, but his mind seems made up. It would be foolish to try and take a player away from his club if he wants to be somewhere else (look at Fernando Torres right now).
He is a great talent but there are other players out there for Arsene Wenger to consider signing. Eden Hazard and Kaka come to mind easily and of course there are others who can fill into the offensive midfield role. Arsene Wenger would be wise to avoid a long transfer saga for Gotze – a saga that is likely to end in Barcelona or Real Madrid’s favour.

EPL has become like a Scottish whereby Manchester United/Chelsea have won the past 7/8 seasons. Now Chelsea is replaced with ManCity though as Sheik Mansour outmuscles Roman Abramovich financially. I wish an oil tycoon would by Valencia,Sevilla,or Atletico Madrid so that they could challenge Barca and Real Madrid. Malaga might come in 4th place at most but their owner isn’t committed to spending as much as Mansour and PSG’s owners.

i hate to say it but both Hazard and Gotze are out of our league, Arsenal havent got the financial power to get into bidding wars with the big boys :/
I am fairly confident that Arsenal will bid for Gourcuff this January, but Marco Reus would also be a good creative midfield signing aswell.

According to buying style of players by Wenger. Big names can not even consider any speculation. They know that he always prefer the chepest and youngest. In short Arsenal is a club of the endless future. Big names can not join a club which concentrate on players promotion and not after winning the tittles

It is inevitable that AW has to buy.Look at last night’s game.It proved that only the combination of Walcot,RVP, and Gervinho can yield goood results.Please AW save as the humilliation we suffered last season by investing to see that upfront we have another combination that can yield goals.Whether Gotze,or any other big name is not available,make another goal-scoring make up that will ensure that we end up not loosing a chance in the champions league next season.

Just ask where Ozil is now. He was the last German who said the same thing. It must really be a confident boost to know you go to these great clubs. Then play 3 times a year or in friendlies and lesser cup games. What sort of footballer don’t want to play football throughout the year!!!!

there are great teams in spain like real madrid and barca. Ummm they are the only great teams with the exception of valencia. There is no arguing that english football is the best because of how unpredictable it is no one knows whos going to win the epl, its will either be barca or madrid to win la liga this is why there are hardly any betting agents in spain cos there is no challengers

We are always on the transfer front line because everybody expects us to parade world class players. Arsenal today parade too many super-sub in every department as first team players, particularly in the midfield. Gotze & Hazard are good options for us, if they decides to switch to La Liga, well and good. Kaka & Gourcuff are also tested and proven midfielders that can fit into Arsenal style of football. Yes, money attracts good Players and good players attracts best players. This is the time. Up Gooners.

Gotze – Good player but overrated and over-priced. He can sit on the bench in Spain and his potential will slow down.
Gourcuff – Classy but injury comeback a concern. A punt for Arsenal but worthy if it pays off.
Marco Reus – I rate him but I think he’s still green. With more experience, he’ll become a terrific player. I think he picked up an injuryu recently, but not a serious one I believe.
Christian Eriksen – Great young talent and I think he can score more goals than Gotze or Gourcuff. Would be cheaper too
Podolski – Expensive buy but has the quality to match his price tag. Whether he can score freely in the EPL is a question. I believe he can.
Vargas – His price will inflate as many teams want him, but he’ll fit well in the Arsenal squad
Biglia – Versatile but I think this guy is overrated. We already have Song, Frimpong, Wilshere, Coquelin and Diaby to play DM.
Matias Suarez – Very dynamic player who can play as striker anywhere along the front row. He possesses the typical South American trickery and football nous.
Casemiro – Excellent header of the ball and quality striker. Strong, fast and diverse. A member of the current Brazilian team, he is definitely a super buy if we can recruit him.
THE UNKNOWN – We would be foolish to believe that Wenger will only buy players of notoriety. Expect an unknown name to possibly make the squad. I’m not complaining just as long as we get some new faces that will strengthen the team.

i think its all the owners fault of arsenal who always want good return..seems like they only want money but no trophies.arsene wenger wanted to keep toure,adebayor and clichy..but bcoz of the owners he is forced to sell them,…fuck up to those owners,,..poor wenger..i know he doenot have in his mind to buy expensive palyers..but he stilll do not want his class players to leave..if nasri.fabregas,adebayor,toure,gallas and clichy had stayed in arsenal then it would have been the number one club in the world.far better than barcelona too…i cannot wait to see barcelona going all down..

Footballers change their tunes quite frequently these days, so if Goetze were to issue a come-and-get-me plea to AW in the coming days, it would be in our best interests to turn him down. The last thing we would want is for Goetze to come to the Emirates and start talking about Madrid a season into his contract

thats why we shouldnt get in a bidding war just give the teams what they ask for and get it done as quick possible and tie them down to lenghty contracts with massive buy out clause like madrid and barca do ! ever good player they have has about a 200mil buy ouy out clause so there is very little chance of them leaving after 2 seasons
