Arsenal transfer gossip Jan 27th – Victor Moses, Huntelaar, Wilshere and Babel

Posted on January 27, 2010 by admin

After the massive disappointment of losing out on Chris Smalling, when Man Utd trumped Arsenal’s offer for the youngster, Arsene Wenger must be feeling hard done by today. Smalling was due at Old Trafford for his medical this morning, and if all went okay he is probably signing a contract at Old Trafford as we speak.

The papers today are not full of much cheer for Wenger either. It has been reported that Arsenal and Liverpool were locked in talks over Ryan Babel, but the Mail has revealed that Sunderland’s Steve Bruce is ready to hijack the deal by going to Rafael Benitez with a cash offer. Wenger is probably hoping that he has no challenges and can try and knock down the price given by Benitez. Not a lot of hope there then!

Another link (that I quite like) is the possible move of the young Palace prodigy Victor Moses, and the ex-Crystal Palace manager Alan Smith gave me hope yesterday when he told Sky News that Moses will almost certainly be leaving Selhurst Park imminently.

He said: “Inevitably Victor Moses will be sold. The club have to pay off their debts as quickly as possible.”

He added: “The club have to sell him because the administrators need to recoup their debts and if Victor can give money back to the club by leaving then that’s a good thing.”

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar was also reported to be on Wenger’s radar yesterday, and the AC Milan striker was reported in calciomercato as being ready to move anywhere as long as he gets regular first team football.

His agent, Arnold Oosterveer, said: ”He wants to play more,”

”That is all he wants. It’s not because in the summer the World Cup will take place and he wants to be there, but it’s also important for him.

”He came to Milan to be important for the team, even in the Milan derby he played just 10 minutes and he would like to play more. Many European teams have shown an interest in Klaas, he doesn’t have a preference regarding any particular country.”

”His priority right now is to find more playing time at Milan or to fight for trophies, either staying in Italy or playing in Germany or England,” That covers most eventualities then!

But the Milan general director, Ariedo Braida, isn’t keen to let him go anywhere at all..

“Huntelaar stays here, all talk is unnecessary. Arsenal? No, I repeat that the player remains at Milan.” he said.

Yesterday Wenger said that “Burnley would be a good opportunity” for Jack Wilshere, but the Mirror seems to be certain that the youngster will prefer to go with Owen Coyle at Bolton, despite the two bosses falling out last week.

Wenger apparently said: “Wilshere will have his say, because he needs to decide where he likes to go.

“But Bolton are not out of the running. I wasn’t pleased with their reaction last week but we have to be above that and do what is best for Wilshere.”

Hmm, I thought Wenger preferred the Burnley move…. But anyway, it is all speculation until Wilshere himself makes his decision.

Just like all the other Arsenal rumours!

  2. Nitti says:

SO WENGER WAS trying to get Huntelaar, and now he comes out saying we will not sign a striker, coincidentally at the same time AC Milan are saying they have cancelled all talks of Hunt moving…Wenger must have low balled them so bad that it pssed hem off.

  3. Nitti says:

On a more serious note, it has to be sickening how Wenger conducts transfers. He was in for Smalling for about a week and i bet he was haggling and low balling when Ferguson came in with the 7m asked, that’s gone, Huntelaar? Well we all know we could use him, but Wenger again, probably wasting time on how much to offer loan-wise or outright buy, Milan got fed up and just cancelled. Now Victor Moses, Crystal Palace needs the money and we already know Man City, Liverpool and co all want this kid, I think the kid wants Arsenal, but we all know Wenger will miss out on him cause of price. These things have got to stop, just buy what the club needs and stop trying to low ball clubs on price, something he wouldn’t accept, He could have got Chamakh, low ball offer derailed that move, breaking the kids heart. When will he learn? the few ££ he is trying to cut off won’t pay all the stadium off.

  4. Nitti says:

I’d have focused on getting Victor Moses than Galindo…Galindo is not even available to play for us and who knows if he’ll be a flop, Moses on the other hand, knows the English football and is a good player for his age.

  5. keith says:

Yes how many more players will we loose out on we need players to add to this lightweight squad we miised out on Alonso for the sake f a million or two where is the profit from all the recent players leaving?we have a transfer budget of a religation team if Arsens gamble again fails this season like the last 4 previous he must be replaced

  6. mazo says:

man u are fools they dont know anything about football.

  7. Nitti says:

I Can’t believe that WENGER wants to gamble on Bendtner for the season…1. He was inconsistent before injury, and could not put goals away as much chances he got 2. He will be returning from a long term injury, players don’t come back like an ox after injuries like that 3. The man has missed out of good players that can add to our squad this season, all cause of a few 100,000 or million difference, respect the clubs and their players Wenger, you would not have sold Adebayor for 10million, would you?

  8. mazo says:

arsenal and barca are the best teams in the world, but for only those with proper brains

  9. Stephanie says:

Arsene Wenger manages the team, and it may be that he knows a little more about it than you two know-it-alls. You don’t know the finer detail of what has or has not happened in any negotiations. Why don’t you just go back to your XBoxes?

  10. Darcy Gee Spot says:

Save it mong boys- so what if Wenger doesnt want to pay top dollar for some of this unproven talent, I mean would you seriously put your house on Smalling, Huntelaar, Chamakh, Babel coming good- have a go at signing them, but if you miss out too bad- I mean theyve hardly set the world on fire in the past have they?

  11. JHeezy says:

Arsene Wenger is a great manager and everything but his way of handling transfers is a abysmal. He draws attention to a good young player but his haggling only wastes time and allows other clubs to jump in the way and take them from right under our noses. I don’t get why he doesnt just put in decent bids. The last time i checked arsenal were not a poor club.

  12. Kev says:

I think you’ve got too much to say ‘Nitti’! Arsene spends the money like it is his own, that is the reason we won’t ever go like a west ham, portsmouth, man united or chelsea (who before the Russian took over were days away from going into administration)! Arsene hasn’t got it too wrong if you ask me, he’s been slowly building a squad strong enough to win both the league & champions league and is doing it responsibly by not getting into silly bidding wars (which we won’t win against the likes of man city or against those clubs who don’t give a damm about threatening the very exsitence of their own clubs)! If smalling wants to go united then let him, everyone can see they’re in proper trouble and if Rooney decides to leave or suffers an injury then they’re stuffed!!! I can’t stand these arsenal supporters that want arsene to splash the cash no matter what just because he has it – the difference between him and other managers is that if for example you gave £50m to arsene and £50m to either harry redknapp, ferguson or benitez then the later three would have no trouble spending it all whether it be or one player at an inflated price or a couple of players at over inflated prices or even players not even really needed but we got the money so let’s just spend it mentality!! Look at some of the recent transfer prices for the like of robbie keane, nanni, anderson, berbartov, antoni valencia, david bentley, robhinio, darren bent, crouch for example! I for one are glad that we have arsene in charge and so what if we miss out on the occassional player, at least we know our club will always be safe and we’re on the brink of something very very special….. and all this when doing things responsibily!!!

  13. Nitti says:

Stephanie, since people like you can’t form your own opinions, that you have to rely on what ever Wenger says or how he manages the team….i just have one comment, “his current policy has served us for the last 5 years, coincidentally, we haven’t won anything in those years”…just a food for thought. If not for Gazidis, Arshavin won’t be a gunner. The finer details is simple, he ponders too much when it comes to transfers and he leaves it till last minute, when the season is almost in the dumpsters and a more ambitious club signs the player he should have gotten…..I know for a fact that he does not know more than me and my “PS3″ when it came to tossing the Carling and FA cups. FACT!

  14. Nitti says:

To the people who believe the club is bigger than one manager, Who would you rather sign for the same amount of money…Victor Moses or Samuel Galindo???

  15. retroScar says:

Arsene Wenger manages the team, and it may be that he knows a little more about it than you two know-it-alls. You don’t know the finer detail of what has or has not happened in any negotiations. Why don’t you just go back to your XBoxes?….. haha jinx…coiuldnt have put it better my self..

  16. Steve says:

Also guys its worth noting that now that Gazidis is in place he takes care of all transfers so if there is any ‘low balling’ going on it would be him doing it not Wenger.

  17. Cujo says:

    @nitti

just one question, who else would you have manage Arsenal instead of wenger? How many trophies have you won? Are your panties too tight? Ok ok so that was 3 questions instead of one. Guess my opening statement is inconsistent with the rest of my comment, same as you are inconsistent with what a true arsenal fan is.. *keep smiling*

  18. Mohdmaruf says:

@stephanie i do think arsene is your uncle that is why you speak like that, pls learn to accept the true even if Arsene is your whatever.ok
I will always beat Arsene in my psp any time any day.

  19. b says:

to those who say “i cant believe he wanna gamble on Bendtner” who you suggest he buys? and how on earth do you know your choices even want to come to England. Its not exactly a nice place to live if you enjoy sun and warmth. The money is ok aboard to. Dzeko favours who? AC Milan? And Huntelaar wants more money, he reckons he needs more than Fabregas, so i dont think they want to come, do you? So really what proven strikers are left then? It is not like there are huge amount of them for sale atm. Villa? yes but is he really worth 28M at the age of 28?

@cujo he wants anyone cos nitti thinks new managers can spend and splash as they want. they can use at least 50£ and buy two or three quality players(just like Benitez) and then win the league. At least a new manager would topple United and bid 12M( 8M instant and 4 depending on appearance) for a unproven Defender that would be the logical ting to do. I man 12M is nothing! Arsharvin was 12M. Smalling is tall so he must be great. that is what another manager would do.

ps. i think nitty need to concentrate on economics at school cos its clear he really is to young and inexperienced to talk about economics, he also knows little about footy, really nitty. try to atleast sound like you know stuff when you post.

  20. Stephanie says:

Some of you people are hilarious. Just because I don’t agree with your remarks about Wenger, then apparently I’m not capable of having my own opinion, or it seems that Wenger is my uncle, or whatever other tripe you people like to dream up. Well, I’m glad that it’s Wenger and not you running this football club. But keep your comments coming – thank god I wear a corset, cos I think my sides have split, and my guess that many other people are amused by your remarks too.

  21. Nitti says:

A lot of you have little to say other than “Wenger spends the money like it’s his own” “Who would you have him buy”….Bottom line is I would rather spend my £3m on the likes of Victor Moses, who wants to come to Arsenal, than Samuel Galindo who is not even ready to play for Arsenal. He hasn’t gotten it all right and you all seem to think he does it right all the time…£12m on Walcott?? Wow whoop-ti-dooo./…No one is asking him to “xbox” it with Arsenal, it’s just the man likes to prove everyone wrong, instead of worrying about how Man city and Chelsea spend their money or if Portsmouth, WestHam (who has not spent bananas on any player the last time i checked), Man U or Liverpool, we need to open our eyes and accept that the policies are flawed..simple! For instance buying players should not just be a French thing, and why does it takes weeks to sign a target? Why are the squad rotation mind boggling? And why do we rely on our under 19s for possible senior cup competition? These have nothing to do with buying “big”…i am an Arsenal supporter and a believer in following the obvious path to winning, not some magical rationale only seen by one man.

  22. Nitti says:

and b…from your comments, it seems you are still learning a lot…for most of your information..i hold an MBA and manage a team of analyst…just a little FYI…..we can all manage personnel in the “real world” not just xbox’s and football….If you missed the point…WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FOLLOW ONE MAN’S PHILOSOPHY FOR 5 YEARS, AND IT IS NOT YIELDING MUCH IN THE WAY OF WINNING….we need a different approach to things, otherwise we are loosing players like Fabregas, Robin Van Persie…these players have called for the same thing the rest of us who have opinions about how our club should sometimes be ran….it’s not too much to ask for, is it? as a paying fan?

  23. Jayz says:

Well well so many good comments today one thing in this life is that you dont always get what you want even if you have the resources but the most important thing is to appreciate what you have and value it so much. Its cleared that most of we fans are not happy due to lack of trophy in previous seasons dont worry one day its gonna be fine. We are gonna win trophies, but for those fans who are tied shud go eastland or some where else. As for me Arsene or no Arsene I AM AN ARSENAL FAN FOR LIFE FOR BETTER FOR WORSE FOR RICH OR POOR, Its better we start appreciating Arsene you never knw wat you have until you lose it.

  24. Robespierre says:

Delusional indeed,! a goal machine for 60k a week on loan, someone donned by VBaasten as heir, by vGaal as the best player in the world IN the box, had bad luck but when given a run he scores AT LEAST 1:2 ratio, the highest for strikers… you know who it is.., but no what for we need nothing like that, we have an Eduardo’s feeble feet,a Walcott myopic brain And Nick to get back into shape( was he ever in great shape anyway?) in the next 6 weeks, who else do we have?.always, Fab in whom we trust to do it all.., We are going to hit a wall in the big ones, we will be desperate for that clinical finisher to give us the edge … What the F-xk is wrong with that genius man we think we know he knows everything!?

  25. Nitti says:

And …one last thing…HOW SURE ARE YOU THAT OUR CLUB IS SAFE??? In these trying times? I wouldn’t be too boastful, we don’t all know what TRUE financial situation we are in, perhaps our not spending is due to lack of funds….but we just need someoen to admit it, instead of taking us on a pony express ride every season “We will buy 2 or 3 quality players” only to buy one…”We may need a striker” only to buy none. Our beloved Wenger promised the personnel, we didn’t ask for it..but he is now saying we asked for it…obviously he sees things we don’t.

  26. Robespierre says:

Fans stay fans, don’t try to be shopkeepers of the club and save the multi billionaires “top Dollar” ridiculous. Arsene hard bargain mentality at all consts is irrational lunacy, in the long run would it have mattered if he would have offered another million or two for Smalling, or another 10-20k a week to get goal machine Huntelaar to get us over the hill? pathetic policy.

  27. FinnGun says:

    Nitti,

are you on cocaine? If I knew who you and your “team of analyst” work for, I’d short them.

  28. Nitti says:

jayz…I am one of those fans who support Arsenal regardless of who is in charge…like a bad marriage, you move on whether Wenger is the best or not, we had managers before him, we will have managers after him. He was doing something special before we bought Emirates, and understandably we can’t spend like it’s growing on a tree, BUT we have to be realistic, we are not talking about spending big, we are talking abot getting in the right players and playing the right players.

  29. Nitti says:

..gosh, some of you have me going…rolling on the floor with your shared myopic thinking and your “In Arsene we trust” mantra…..I like it when he puts us in the best position to win, i hate it when he decides to do a “i’m going to do things different and maybe i will be lucky and prove them wrong”…B.S. talks like Walcott, Bendtner back from injury will be like a “new signing” …lol

  30. Stephanie says:

Nitti, don’t you have work to do, leading this team of analysts, etc?

  31. Nitti says:

lol…sorry to post so much..but does anyone know the story of Zlatan Ibrahimovic? The boy was signed then by David Dein for £3m, Wenger wanted the deal canceled because Zlatan wouldn’t try out first, so Zlatan left Highbury that day and was signed by Ajax, guess who Wenger signed after that? Francis Jeffers for 3 times the amount…..rest is history…Remeber Yaya Toure and his tryout? See it’s not about how much we pay for these players, it’s the way he goes about haggling over prices and time wasting…..there is financial responsibility, and there is just plain ol “penny wise”

  32. Stephanie says:

Who in the comments to this article has said “in Arsene we trust”. Why don’t you engage with what people say, instead of setting up men of straw to shoot down?

  33. Nitti says:

Stephanie…i’m off today, i work 12 hours or so hours a day…any more questions?

  34. Stephanie says:

No, none that are worth detracting from your much-needed and no doubt well-deserved rest. Feet up, buddie.

  35. Nitti says:

Ok…plus a true fan would not want to miss todays game ;) ……

  36. Kev says:

    @ nitti

It’s not just about the price you pay for a player! Like you say west ham might not have spent “bananas” on players the last time you checked but you can get caught up spending “bananas” on players salaries which west ham did. One example being £85k per week on a five year contract for freddie lundberg then paying him off (£6m) one year into that contract….. enough said!!!

You say you’d rather arsene spend £3m on victor mosses than sign galindo, trust me if arsene can get him for £3m then he’d jump at that! He won’t though get into a bidding war if the likes of man city (who are also rumoured to be interested) or other clubs start pushing the price up & up! It’s down to the player then and if he wants to come to arsenal then trust me he’ll come to arsenal no matter how much the other club offers and i’d much rather that than us buy some mercenary who just comes to us because we offered him the most money like smalling has clearly done by choosing united! Don’t be mistaken, if smalling really wanted to come to the arsenal then he would have signed no matter what united offered the club or the player just like ramsay did!

And those people who think “i thought the whole point of us moving to the emirates was so that we could compete for the top players”, this isn’t an overnight thing you know! There is such a thing as a bank loan used to finance the building of the new stadium! Once this is paid up (which it won’t ever be if we just splash cash willy nilly – you know an extra million here and a million there for a player and this “just pay him the extra £20k-£30k a week that he wants if it means us signing him – this all adds up you know + can then result in the rest of the squad being disgruntled and wanting even more money so where does it stop i ask you?) anyway like i was saying once the stadium is repaid which a large majority of it will be when the highbury flats start shifting now the housing market is slowly picking up then the finance will be a lot rosier but even then don’t expect us to be paying silly prices for a player or silly salaries because it just ain’t gonna happen….. It’s not the arsenal way no matter who the manager in charge is so to be honest you’ve probably picked the wrong club to support!!!

  37. Kharmht says:

Would you pay 1000 USD for an XBox just because your brother wants it? And that Your brother thinks subjectively that it is worth it for the entertainment, without having any responsibility for the consequences ?

It’s all fine if you had 1 billion in the bank. A few hundred bucks won’t hurt? But the thing is guys, few can gain that much wealth without having a principle. And that principle is that you spend within your means , not somebody else’s means , and that you have to be responsible.

It’s easy to make decisions when the consequences are not on your own head. Its easy to look in hindsight. Being responsible doesn’t mean you are immune to mistakes, but it makes it more likely for you to make a correct decision.

Wenger makes mistakes? Yes. wenger makes good decision? Yes. We have to be objective and look at the bigger picture . Then we can see that , contrary to alleged claims from armchair specialists that Wenger has been acting out of his ego, he has actually risked everything about himself for the future of the club.

If there is the least thing this man deserves, that is faith and support from the fans.

  38. armagharsenal says:

Cant believe people are saying they wont wenger out.they b no where without him.How do u no victor moses will score goals and even thou wenger is better than benitez babel is a flop at the minute and could b another walcott who i dont think is that great.i hate being linked with these young unproven dicks.some mentioned paying over the odds 4 bent but sunderland paid 11m n id b happy to pay that 4 him.we need some english pplayers that have a bit of fight n bit.scott parker gary cahill wont take shit!!get ashley young aswel and manuel neuer.and chamakh on the free would be good cause any player on the free is good buisness.we can pay big money for young as he is proven in england
    Neuer
Sagna Gallas or Cahill Vermaelen Clichy
    Fabregas Song Parker
    Young V.Persie Arshavin
then we wud av a good squad n wont b bullied

  39. oz_gooner says:

these unproven dicks as u say are going for quite cheap..

If we can buy Victor moses for 3 -4 mill then thats a bargain for crystal palace best player. he is worth the risk at that sort of money.

  40. Nitti says:

Kev, well said, and i like how you put it all out….When it came to Smalling, I believe the player made or break the deal, cos, i believe Arsene offered £8m, it all boiled down to salary and personal terms..Fine…In Victor Moses case, the boy has declared he would rather Arsenal than Man City, with all the money they can offer him, so what’s the hold up? In the case of Chamakh, the boy has declared his love for Arsenal, and would even take a slight pay cut, what happened? I know Bordeaux wanted crazy money, which i agree we don’t have to pay for a player almost out of contract, but they later came back and agreed to it, only for Wenger to wave them off…as we saw today, WE HAVE NO STRIKER! Fabregas and Rosicky can’t do it all..Bendtner was just ass as usual and Eduardo couldn’t score until he got injured…Defence played their hats off…today’s game proves that a quality striker will unlock those kind of defences.

Now in your analysis, I agree with you, only that in the same fate of not being able to attract those players because of wages, we are loosing our quality players for the same reason, only to take a step back after they leave…..and rebuild again.

Now the West HAM issue with Ljunberg is a one player thing, how many stars do they have? Ljunberg came from Arsenal, what do you expect? Their situation is simply about ownership and revenue. In this day and age you have to pay players those kind of wages, whether they love Arsenal or not, how long do you think we will keep Fabregas for on £85k a week? The business is changing, and it’s either you are on the bus or off, sorry, but it’s a sad state, no matter how hungry some others are, there are does who are still eating (Man City owners) and the sooner they put salary caps on the wages, the better for Arsenal, cause that is the Arsenal way, which the rest of Europe is not following.

Again lets not dwell on the economics of it, Fine lets not sign anyone…but the few we are able to sign for whatever reason, are not quite there, I am talking about Tactics….and player rotation….for a team that has not won anything in a while, i see no reason why we couldn’t have put out a decent team versus Man City, the psychology of even trying to win that small competition will send a message to the likes of Arshavin, Fabregas and RvP that they are right to be with this club…Vieira, Henry, Overmas and co, all got kicked out because the hunger to win was fading, and the club wanted to play more youthful players, the teams dominating England and Europe have players well in their late 20s and early 30s, getting rid of players just cause they are almost 30 is just not right, Gilberto should have been kept around, he wasn’t asking for a pay raise, all he was asking for was a little respect.

We are not splashing cash, we are only asking for a realistic approach to a winning mentality, it’s missing somewhere, and it starts with the coach.

You could tell that the Stoke game was going to be a loss before the game was even played, just cause of what the manager was stating to the press. And today, like i said earlier, proves we do need a striker of repute to open up defenses that Fabregas cannot always open up by himself. If Bendtner\Eduardo and is our striker for the rest of the season, well lets not get our hopes up and just be happy we are playing better than the Spurs.

  41. Nitti says:

@Kharmht….I won’t pay $1000 for an xbox, why cause i don’t need it, but i would pay $1000 for my rent if my landlord raises it on me in a months time, why…well i need a roof over myhead…your comparison of xbox is not logical, WE NEED THESE PLAYERS, it keeps the fans coming, it sells shirts, it brings in extra revenue…Can you say that buying CR7 for £12m and selling him for £80m is bad business? Considering that he brings fans worldwide to OT, sells shirts, brings in extra business, Now we are not asking AW to go out and throw money away,( he has done that a few times for a good manager) people make mistakes and you gamble on talent sometimes, but to be passive when it is feasible makes no sense. Again i bring up Zlatan Ibra vs Francis Jeffers…Owning the Emirates and owning Fabregas goes hand in hand, their should be provisions to bring in a quality player every now and then…Did you go to the Emirates recently? In case you folks don’t know, we are getting more empty seats with each game, I guess most Arsenal fans are fickle minded.

All i’m stating here is don’t promise what you can’t deliver, lets admit that we are a bit short financially…Me and fellow gooners who are complaining did not ask Wenger to buy players at the start of the season, I was content with going ahead with what we had, (with the exception of a few players) But Le Prof promised during the shareholders meeting that he would sign 2-3 quality players, and he will bring in a trophy at least…Only one quality player was signed…mid season, after injuries struck, he promised to bring in a quality striker (this problem could have been address in the summer when Adebayor was sold as Chamakh would cost less in wages)…in short it’s become a cycle of we will buy, we don’t need to buy..i think some of us will be ok if he just came out and said nothing. The board comes out to say Wenger has money to spend, all we hear is there is no quality striker to sign…what are we paying scouts for? and where are they scouting? Why do we find a player only to wait till the whole world notices and then over bids and raise the price..why can’t we finish business in a day? These are the things that draw us back.

Well, i guess we all have our beliefs, I am not asking Wenger to leave Arsenal, for the little we have, we see to be doing fine here and there, a little push can get us over the hump…..it’s embarrassing that Spurs can boast of some kinda trophy and we can’t. And if i wasn’t a fan, i wouldn’t be on here complaining…

Watching todays game, it makes perfect sense that in the absence of Robin Van Persie, we NEED a quality striker.

  42. Nitti says:

Oh..by the way, Crystal Palace pulled Victor Moses out of the games for the rest of the season, they are going through admin and HAVE TO sell Moses…The player is not interested in money more than a place he will develope…smells like Arsenal or Barca might get him….I will be happy if he is the only signing we get before the window closes…the boy is quality.

  43. Al Murray says:

Tomas Vermaelen could be out for the season and you STILL want a striker? We have scored more goals in the league than anyone. Look ate the stats and you will find that it is goals we concede that are the problem.

  44. troy says:

Maybe we should get rid of Wenger the fool and get Nitti the expert in. He seems to know everything…….wooow what a guy

  45. Nitti says:

    Al Murray
Well we had asked for a defender and a striker, but that was asking too much, so we settled for the striker we were promised, and we won’t get that now…Don’t get your hopes up..Our best striker is out for the season, we are nt replacing him, what makes you think we will replace out best defender?

  46. troy says:

Its amazing that someone who works 12 hours a day has enough time to write so much bulls#it. :)

maybe we go down, maybe we don’t. maybe we sign some players who help us out, i to am hoping for that

but if i have read another idiot’s thoughts on what will make or break arsenal, i’m going to fucking lose it

it’s so god damn obvious that we have an average team age of 22. if you can’t look at that and realize our team is going to be the most explosive club in existence, you’ll never be a true arsenal fan.

so what? we win a trophy this year? and then don’t win one for 5 or 10, your happy then? the logic is ridiculous.

wenger is building a team for now and hopefully forever while he rules it. i just can’t stand the arsenal fans (who call themselves fans, i certainly never did) who think they know more than the best manager in not only our history but the history of football (okay, now i’m a little pro-wenger).

winning isn’t everything. playing with a passion and style is what i watch for, and when we win, whenever that will be. i’ll still be there, just like i am when we lose.

now grow a pair, maybe grow a fucking brain, stop acting like a wannabe manager go and watch the greatest club in existence. AFC.

sorry for the long and hurtful post. i hope you rethink your stance and maybe someday i’ll be able to read one of your posts without wanting to puke and hurl vulgarities at you nitti.

kbot…you make no sense……..I will not even engage you, as you are not worth engaging.

i do believe in wenger but if Fabregas and van persie leave at the end of the season then in not sure i can look at arsenal anymore…its simply too painful…this sunday’s match is very important if arsenal are serious in winning the title…vermaelen will be a huge loss and i dont think sol or silvestre is a replacement for the belgian defender…we desperately need song back as we look really lightweight and with fletcher around i hope song will kick the shit out of him…anyway…we need a defensive midfielder and a centreback and a world class gaolkeeper…cahill is fine and perhaps wenger should go for gago or diarra from mali…on the chamakh issue i think wenger is trying to get him for free…i really dont know why wenger’s not buying any player now…its frustrating…but if they dont win anything this year then one has to question if the right manager is in charge…

@Nitti , you should be banned from the forum !

Wenger ! What the hell man ! U stubborn mule ! Don’t you see you need a striker up front ? The return of Bentner came too little too late.
The draw at Villa Park was definitely a LOSS of 2 points !

    FISH !

We’re gone ! Mark my words ! Another Runner’s up position this season !

If you guys see this as loosing the faith in Arsene, I’ll say, haven’t we learned a thing from the last 4 seasons ?!

  51. Adaminho says:

goal machine Huntelaar ?!?!? haha when? he’s been sitting on the bench or in the stands all season, not exactly in form of his life. also we scored more then everyone else this season so should be chelsea and united that are desperate to sign more goal scorers. rosicky is finally fully fit and getting near his best, with arshaven and fabrigas that’s 3 quality players who can score from anywhere. you guys must have hated the run we’ve been on, probably were still complaining that we only put 3 past villa 1st time or only 6 vs bolton in 3 days. lucky we only drew (thanks to overly thick goalposts!!)away to a team that’s beaten chelski and united already. all the strikers you are talking about are crap cole, gudjohnson, huntelaar, robinho ALL of them either injured or hardly played this year or in robinhos case a lazy fcker you really do want to buy for the sake of buying

  52. Adaminho says:

if we don’t win anything it will be cause almunia isn’t good enough for this level and defense gets no protection when song is out, buy world class goalkeeper, good defensive midfielder and one more top cb now vermalin is done. that’s all we need

  53. Nitti says:

    FinnGun, troy..both of you
May I borrow your brain please?
I’m building an army of idiots!

Please go bury yourselves, everyone is entitled to their own opinion as fans…Check todays article on this blog and see how many people are pissed about how things are. Now I just got off and i’m pissed, both of you go make my sandwich!….jeeze! You would think people would allow others express their passion.

  54. Nitti says:

Are we still strong enough, is your belief in Arsene Wenger still unwavering? The stubborn man he is…….In Arsenal I trust, In Wenger i walk cautiously.
