Arsenal Transfer Latest – Peru Striker Linked With Move
More transfer rumours to bring you and after Saturday you would have thought that the list would be full of defenders. It isn’t I’m afraid, and the worrying news is it is another teenager that is being targeted!
The latest name to be linked with Arsenal is Andy Polo. Who I hear some of you cry? Andy Jorman Polo Andrade to give him his full name is a 16 year-old striker who is currently playing for Universitario de Deportes in the Peruvian football league.
Polo will be 17 later on this month and he is already attracting interest from Arsenal and a host of other European clubs including Udinese and Villarreal. He has already scored three goals in 12 first team appearances, and has scored three times in four games for Peru Under-17′s.
Reports coming from Peru suggest that Polo will be made available when the transfer window re-opens and he could be available for as little as £800,000 due to his club being in financial difficulties.
I know that youngsters are the future, but how many young players do we need at Arsenal for goodness sake. We need experience and we need a big name signing. I have nothing against this lad, but we should be turning our attentions elsewhere.

yes quite right admin we need experience at this present time. not signing cahill or jageilka could come back to haunt us. we do not have a problem scoring goals, it is keeping them out which is our problem

it’s fine to be linked with a teenager, as long as we also strengthen the squad with better defenders, or change the coaching staff a little..

if arsene & the board DO NOT SIGN CAHILL/SAMBA in january their is gonna be a riot in North london n i’m not talking about spuds vs gunnerz derby, i’m talking pitchforks, torches n angry policemen who r gunnerz beating u guys with battons
so Be very careful wat u do in january arsene n the board cause i’ve never seen gooners this angry, so u’d better sign AT LEAST 2 of ANY OF THE FOLLOWING felllani/m’villa, cahill, hazard n baines, or if u choose 2 sign more KIDS that u find in south american beaches 4 peanuts then i fear 4 ur well being
GUNNER TILL I DIE
Opinions divided. What do you think?

For goodness sake, yes we are awful at present I too see no way out of it. But you do not stop recruiting younger players just because of the urgent defensive needs of the first team. The younger teams are not linked to first team.
Some of you also need to be careful what you say about rioting ! a lot of people got arrersted for similar comments recently !

wenger ,u r making our life a play ground for spuds to laugh at us. u saw what they did to Liverpool yesterday and with the game against them getting nearer I’m getting scared of them thrashing us.And in deed if that happens,oh boy, you Mr. wenger will have to say good bye to your 6m pounds.

It’s simple Arsene or should that be arsehole? Cahill Hazard Samba M Villa Motelivo Jovetic do those names ring a bell AW. Yes youth is important but right now we need maturity, defence, goal scorers and professionals, not average players on the cheap. Gervinho and Arteta are good examples but there are better out there. Oh for the days of old with Adams Keown etc. Come on Wenger dont be a stubborn old fart and take the club back where it belongs, and in our 125th yr as well. Gooner C Town S Africa

I believe it is quite right that AW should still be looking for young, exciting talent, he has proven time and time again his ability to turn the unknown into world class. I for one still believe in the philosophy of football AW has honed at Arsenal, and the quest for total football is a beautiful thing when accomplished. I would not like arsenal to lose this, or Wenger, however, like all arsenal fans, I watched with disbelieving eyes the rout at Blackburn, and cannot help thinking that it is the coaching rather than the players who are to blame for this debacle. Admittedly there are some players who presently are not good enough for the team, but on the whole they are decent players. It is obvious that defensive drills, positioning, corners, set pieces, are not practiced enough, I seem to remember Adams, Dixon and co talking about the hours and hours spent on these aspects of the game, until a coordinated defensive unit was achieved. I want total football from arsenal, no compromise, but total football starts from the back four. P.s did anyone notice the resolute, deep defensive games against Dortmund, two lines of four, disciplined, hard to break down, which totally vanished against Blackburn. Depressed gooner

“But I believe that Oxlade-Chamberlain could be a central midfielder one day and Walcott a central striker one day. That shows the difference between the two players”
wow,so finally we will see walcott as a striker soon.i hav no doubt on theo’s shooting accuracy….

Sick and tired of this bullshit, all we are is a training ground for youngsters to be sold for millions. Sorry Wenger but without winning trophies and doing well as a club, none of these youngsters will be noticed by any of the top dogs. A football club is a business, yes, but more importantly it should be about glory and winning trophies. It’s about giving the players the club they need to succeed in life and fulfill their own dreams. Nasri, congratulations on leaving AFC. At least you are one frenchman with a brain between his ears. i have no doubt you have not looked back once yet.
If things don’t happen in January, as in 4 major signings, something has to give. You know if Arsenal had come from a lower division and never really had the history we have, i would be grateful and more positive. But the fact is Arsenal are one of the top clubs in Europe, the 3rd richest club in the world and we have a history which few can compare to. So FFS the fact that we are looking at relegation is a WAKE UP CALL. It should make every last one of you true gooners reading this completely pissed off at what is going on at our beloved AFC.
It is rotting away before our very eyes…Wenger, you have until the end of January transfer window to make things right. I’m not saying win a trophy. All I’m saying is fix the obvious mistakes in our team and sign some quality.
By January if that is not done, you do not have my support at all. I will always support AFC, but I will continue to drag your name through the mud, as I hope all the other gooners who see the light. Guys, if Wenger does not make changes soon, he must be sacked. Enough is enough.

Youngsters are good for the future but we need some experience as well, seven barren years are a disaster. We should stop acting like a training academy for trophy winning clubs feeding them with all the talent that we develope.

it maybe just a rumour because anyone knows that we need an expirienced player and a strong defender. or even if we are going to be linked with a teenager you would rather it be someone like ross barkley, neymar, lukaku etc

Woah calm down lads. Spending 0.8m on a kid clearly does not write off our chances of buying big names… We can still get Vertonghen and Martin in the transfer window… Why not get a couple for the academy too? He could either turn out a star, or be not good enough and still sold for more than we payed so it’s a win-win really… Although I would prioritise buying young defenders for the future, maybe a 17-18 year old hot spot to be a future pair with Miquel, and Jordan Lukaku. I spoke to Dennis Praet too, he said he would love to come to Arsenal but he wants to secure a strong place in Anderlecht’s team first.
