Arsenal Rumours (21st Jan): Hazard, Woodgate, Vela and Lansbury
The rumour-mill may keep turning and turning but the Arsenal FC Chequebook is staying firmly under lock and key by the look of it. The only real Arsenal transfer news is about players leaving on loan, though The Goon Blog ran a story about Eden Hazard provisionally agreeing terms to join the club, with just fee to be negotiated… that’s the tricky part! It is progress so good news!
Eden Hazard would be a fantastic young signing for Arsenal, it would take a while for him to adapt and physically he may not be perfectly suited to English football, being quite some way under 6ft. However, talent always shines through…….
It seems that there are many offers for Carlos Vela and it is down to Carlos himself to choose where to go, there is an offer sitting there from Bolton but they are starting to get impatient it seems. Wenger said on Carlos:
“There is much interest in [Vela] for a loan, that is what I want to do. We have plenty of clubs who are interested in him. At the end of the day I look for a guarantee [that he will play]. For him, he has as well to agree to join the club who wants him.”
He needs to get out asap and just play football, showing the skill we know he has. He is probably the best finisher at the club but its the effort, build-up play and his lifestyle that are all causing him to stall in his progression.
Last night Sky Sports SENSATIONALLY!!!!!! linked us with Spurs ubercrock Jonathan Woodgate who hasn’t played a competitive game for who knows how long.. I can’t really believe it to be honest, but would it really be that surprising if he arrived? Really?
Henri Lansbury is also probably going to spend the rest of the season on loan, probably at Norwich. The games are too important to blood youngsters right now and he needs regular football:
“Henri Lansbury might go on loan as well, [to Norwich].”

After I read the article on Goon blog I’m even more sceptical about Hazard joining. Up to 30 mil??? The maximum Arsenal would probably pay for Hazard is 20 mil and that is extremely unlikely. Moreover, Man City, Chelsea and Real Madrid is also targeting Hazard and they have no problem with splashing a lot of money. Man United and Liverpool are also reported to be interested in him but I don’t think that they would be willing to spend a lot of money on him…

Please Wenger sign Eden Hazard. This kid is something special. He can replace Arshavin and do much better then the lazy russian. He can be our version of CR7.

i remenber this all being said about ,arshavin,yet now 2years on every one says arshavin rubbish and needs to go.
i believe this will be hazard too,if he comes here,what funny is how admin say hes a good player but!! needs to adapt (fair enough) and physically he may not be perfectly suited to English football,sounds a must sign player to me. and as for vela even better from admin “he’s the best finisher at the club but its the effort, build-up play and his lifestyle” lol well if he our best finisher at the club, we are in trouble,he a poor finisher only trick he possess one trick in front off goal and thats the chip shot.
i love to see vela make it but like i said before i think he’ll be more suited to spanish football.

Denilson,Almunia,Bendtner out…..Vela on loan
BTW…I read a couple of articles valuing Denilson at 12 mil and Bendtner at 15 mil….INSANE….but still….what we get out of selling the two of them would help fund Hazard and Cahill.

after what I saw @ the leeds game,I feel Denilson has lost it all.he should be placed on transfer.Arshavin seems to be uninterested with life in EPL,we should cash in on him while he’s still worth a dime.Eden hazard??? illd go for Ibrahim Afellay instead.
