Arsenal turn to Germany for transfer talent
Arsene Wenger is very happy with the German players he has already got in the Arsenal team, and the two youngsters knocking on the door of the first team. The Frenchman may soon have some more teutonic talent as Arsenal are keen to get their scouts to find more up and coming players in Germany.
Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski have been two of Arsenal’s best and most consistent performers this season, while Serge Gnabry and Thomas Eisfeld have been very impressive for the under-21s and look like being the next youngsters to break through into the first team.
Wenger spoke not long ago about how impressed he has been with the attitude and professionalism shown by the German players and how they affect the rest of the squad. Arsenal are, therefore, planning to devote alot more energy into spotting players in Germany, with chief scout Steve Rowley already spending much of his time in the country.
German football is on the up at the minute, highlighted by Dortmund and Schalke in the Champions League. Bayern Munich were unlucky not to lift the trophy last season, while the national team has improved immensely since bringing the younger players through.

Arsenal should do what other teams do to us an put stupid bids in for rival players.. An also germans ans spanish (I think) are the way forward.. Should try for Holtby an adrian lopez, realistic and good players

brazilians and english players = overpriced and overrated

German and spain players = underrated and cheap

Yes the German’s are going to be awesome…….. Again! My point being Germany has always been a hotbed of talent remember ballack, klose and dare I mention the big nosed one? ( Klinsmann( whisper it)). The question really is why aren’t we producing more talent back home? Germany will be world champions again one day. Even the most optimistic wouldn’t have a bet on us……..

haven,t we had enough of us buying young talent,waiting for them to muture only to be taken awayby bigger clubs or after all the effort there not good enough arnt we suppose to have enough young talent,lets stop wasting money pay a little more and buy some tried and tested players

Germany have an awesome pool of talent but they often get snapped up by bayern and now dortmund, I hope wenger is looking at proven experienced talent like gotze,reus and schurler and not more kids!

at least thats a step 4ward,the german,spanish and italian leagues are the ones to recruit top players from,who will translate to the premiership quickly.forget the french league for now the quality has dropped.

Like others have said –
German players – yes please. Due to the fact that thier league rules require the majority of each team to be made up of German (with only a few foreign players allowed), they are (have been I might add) a force when it comes to talent. GO THERE FOR TALENT … please!
Spain – the current place to shop. And because their economy is screwed, bargains to be found.
Belgium – they have some absolute quality there. Think Hazard, TV5, Kompany, Vertonghen, Dembele, Felliani, Mirallas – just to mention a few! We should keep an eye on the Belgians!

I luv the fact that Wenger is looking to nab more Germans and i think that we should recruit as many as possible as the German players are most suited to the English PL than any other outside Nationality, even more so than the almighty Spanish and definitely more suited than the French, i think that we missed a trick by having only brought in one Belgain as they have created alot of truly talented players, it were very unlike Arsene to be late in capturing any of these lads bar our own TV5, when you think of the type/quality of German players like Ozil who might come on the market soon also Goetze and Reus but to name a few makes me so glad that Arsene hasnt/wont make the same mistakes alike the Belgain missed opertune, i would luv to see our squad with majority makeup consisting of English/German/Spanish players as they would have it all starting with the English spirit and fight, Germanys professionalism efficiency not to mention astounding ability, and last but not least the Spanish flair authority and beauty

I don’t think we need any more players.only replace squillaci and replace with a defender..since we have so many new players and players coming back from injuries, they should try to play along with each other instead of this continuous players in players out environment…they will gel in together and be invincible again.

eisfield was expected to be a bigger star than goetze or rues back in 2007.. but his injury hampered his growth.. he’l b better player under d guidence of wenger and his role model rosicky…
