Arsenal v Marseille betting tips
After a very good first leg against the French team, Arsene Wenger’s footballers are now looking to show their worth on home turf in the Champions League group stage. Another win for Wenger’s team would mean almost certain group domination for Arsenal who would go 4 points higher than tomorrows opponents Marseille.
With this win The Gunners would only need at most another two points from the games against Olympiakos Piraeus and Borussia Dortmund in order to become group winners and avoid incidents like last year when they were drawn to play against Barcelona.
Bet365 offer Arsenal at odds of 1.61 to win the match, while French club Marseille are seen as big outsiders and are only offered a 5.50 odd of winning the match on Emirates.
Arsenal were not that much better than Marseille in the first leg when they managed to take the lead in the 90th minute, but much has changed since than for Wenger’s club. The Gunners went on to win another three games, scoring no less than 5 goals against Chelsea in the derby match, so Marseille should be careful in choosing how to approach Arsenal in this glittering form.
A “H/H” bet (Arsenal winning at Half-time AND Full-time) would bring you 2.40 odds, but don’t get fooled. Although Arsenal are back in form it would be risky to say that they will manage to lead at halftime. They do have the edge when it comes to winning the match, but this might prove a risky bet.
A “fans favourite” bet will probably be on skipper Van Persie to score. The incredible late form of the Dutch striker brought the odd at a small 1.95 to score at any moment of the match, and at 4.50 to score the first goal of the match.
It would probably be a safe thing to say that Arsenal will score, and that Marseille will try to fight back. So our recommendation of the week is to either bet on “1” at full time, or on an “over 2.5 goals” bet which would bring you a 1.85 odds.

In my opinion RVP should be benched for this game. I know people will be buzzing to see him play after recent performances but he could soon become another Wilshere, eventually becoming burnt out and back on the treatment table. Arsenal are full of confidence and should therefore put some faith in Park’s abilities, after all he was playing against Marseille only last season. If worst comes to worst, bring RVP on as an impact sub, which clearly paid dividends against Stoke.

i ahve to admid tha for van persie is becoming a bit stretch playing every game, but right now he is on fire and ready to explode, so i think let him play and after we (if) ARE IN FRONT REST HIM.
dont forget we need to win to avoid baeca in 1/4 finals again,
i am not syaing we scared but by avoiding them in early stages we gain more confidence new players addapt more to the team and probably santos lost weight. vermalen is fiter so jack the lad and sagna. and to be quite honest i think is time to pair RVP with ox, park, so they can build the confidence and accuracy or maybe why not giving theo a centre role and take it after that. but in my eyes tomorrow game is a must win. dont you all think.

Yea matey above took the words out my mouth. Park knows how to get round these fools and so does Chamakh. I would leave RVP at home and use him against West Brom this weekend. Which would help him get his golden boat. And more importantly get us closer to top four.

Play park in RVP’s position, as we need to rest the in from dutchman. As we saw a wonderful display of Parks astonishing game against Bolton, I’m sure we all know what he has to offer. Play the ox as well! a 3-1 victory for the gunners!

We should focus on collective teamworks instead puting on one person (RVP) to score goal soon or later he will be marked off by the opponents, get injured or burn out. So Wenger should Let Camakh or Park to play. The Back four should be the same or minor change.Every player especially wide player should do more on thier part defending or helping the midfield.If one or two player is off form collectively if everybody work together it more than enough to cover the weakness. This is the only way we going to beat Citeh,MU or Liver if we meet them again. after reach rock bottom from first month of tha season the only way now is UP.

I’ll admit I wasn’t thinking of resting rvp before reading these comments but I could consider it. I’d rather see him rested when we play Olympiacos but I do think he needs a rest before that and tomorrow’s game looks the best option. Although I’d rather see park I think wenger will put chamakh up top. Ideally I’d like to see park and chamakh up top but we all know that’s not happenin. I’d also like to see mert rested. Main players that I’m worried about are Remy and Ayew, and Mandanda will probably give our attack a run for their money, but with their form, it should be ok.
