Arsenal v Marseille – Odds Make Arsenal Good Value To Continue Winning
Arsenal now turn their attentions back to the Champions League and with good form in the bag and a victory already against tonight’s opposition in France there is little to suggest that Arsenal aren’t capable of getting a big result.
Arsenal’s win over Chelsea makes it eight wins from nine games which dispels any credible talk of a crisis at the Emirates, the defence might still be a little shaky but Arsenal are still capable of some great attacking moves and capable of beating teams such as tonight’s opponents Marseille. In France it took a last minute winner from Aaron Ramsey to break the deadlock and things should at least be a little more comfortable back at the Emirates.
Arsenal are the hot favourites to win this match and they can be backed at 4/5 to take another three points in this Champions League group, that actually looks good value considering Arsenal’s form and the win already registered over Marseille a couple of weeks ago. The draw looks much more likely than an away win, a point a piece can be backed at 11/4 whilst Marseille look around the right price at 9/2 with most bookies.
Arsenal will be hoping for a quiet night defensively and can be backed at 6/4 to keep their first clean sheet since the first clash with Marseille in this group, that doesn’t look a bad price considering Arsenal have home advantage. If you think Arsenal won’t keep Marseille out then both teams to score could be a good bet at 5/6. One man certainly expected to score will be Robin Van Persie, who has seven goals in his last three league games, Van Persie is a good bet to score first at 4/1 and at anytime at odds of 6/5. Other players who appeal in the anytime scorer market are Gervinho at 11/5 and Aaron Ramsey, who scored the crucial goal against Marseille a fortnight ago, Ramsey is 9/2 to score in this match.
With Arsenal now getting the results in the bag it might be the right time to look ahead of bit further than tonight’s match and to concentrate on the outright betting in the Champions League. Arsenal are still a big price to go all the way at 33/1 with some bookies and with qualification looking very likely, which is more than can be said about team’s such as Man City. If Arsenal can avoid Barcelona a bit longer this season then 33/1 will look a huge price in a few month’s time.

Not closing up the space in midfield again like we did in the first half against Chelsea. but we are passing the ball around a bit better after the first 10 minutes where we were a bit lost.
Come on Arsenal

Bit Frustrated with a draw at home but nonetheless i think we should be satisfied,Solid Defence,Clean sheet,Work Ethic of Midfielders was good but what im really relishing is the chance that Ramsey had earlier that surely should’ve put us ahead & that Walcott was open several times when we pushed forward.
Hopefully we’ll get a solid win against WBA at the Weekend.

jenk 6.5 mert 6.5 tv5 8 santos 4
Song 7 arteta 6.5
ramsey 6.5
Walcott 6 gervinho 6.5
Park 4
Defence were always covering santos. Arteta, song and tv5 had to cover more than they should. mid look lost in attack but defended well.
Attack was week parks movement was too erratic making it harder to pass him the ball. gervinho and walcott made great runs but couldnt finish.
Team should have done better but at least its a clean sheet

verma is the definition of the word “solid” i understand now, Man U have no defence if vidic is out, liverpool without carragher=garbage & no terry(usually)=no chelsea, hence without the verminator we have NO defence our backline is dependent on him we MUST keep him fit & happy his our whole backline, all we need is 2 throw out squillaci-4 3m & djorou-4 7m & replace them with cahill-7m & verthongen-10m plus andreas beck 4m & 1m for jenny craig to help santos’s weight problem n were done(RB, 4yrs experience been in the hoffienham-bundesliga line up 4 2yrs+ his cheap, german, fast & a very solid tackler plus his 23yrs old) 15m n we have a solid backline, no weak points wats so eva
then sell chamakh 4 10m, buy a winger 2 replace walcott (hazard/goetze=20-35m) & let the boy be rvp’s deputy then next season bring back & we’re done til the summer:)
1st choice: szczensy
sagna-mert-verma-santos(LIGHTER)
2nd choice: fabianski
beck-kos/cahill-verthongen gibbs
all the defenders will feel challenged n will be on their toes cause their back up is just as good as them so if they slip up then they’re gonna be making friends with the BENCH!!!
midfeild:
1st choice
song-ramsey
wilshere
2nd choice
frimpong-coquelin
arteta
(lansbury or ox can replace arteta when his too old to play)
attackers:hazard, RVP, gervinho
second choice: ox, walcott, miyachi
surplus/squadplayers: park, bendtner, campbell(absolutely amazing, eating the french league 4 breakfast), arshavin, rosisky & vela
future looks BRIGHT

I always knew the match would end in a stalemate..Arsenal did show signs of fatigue cos of the chelsea’s match.ramsey needs a lot of catching up to do if he wants to earn a 1st-team place.he threw away 2 solid chances that wudda earned us maximum point..Park still needs more matches to blend with the team..Kudos to Marseille though, boy they were fast.wish we could sign both Remy & A.Ayew, they are both talented wingers & could be a good back up for Gervinho & walcott (My own opinion)..Tv5 & Per were solid @ the back.Fantastic Game Overall.
