Arsenal v Sunderland team news – Arshavin, Gallas and Diaby out, Song back in
Arsenal’s injury list seemed to be easing a few weeks ago, but it hasn’t lasted for long with the news that Andrei Arshavin has a hamstring injury and will miss the Sunderland match.
Abou Diaby has also been lost after the game against Porto, but the injury didn’t show until yesterday.
“It is not understandable. I don’t know how it worked. But he has a medial knee ligament injury. We discovered it today. He came in today and he had pain in his knee.” Wenger said.
William Gallas suffered a knee injury last week too, so it looks like Sol Campbell will keep his place in the team alongside Thomas Vermaelen.
The Croatian striker Eduardo is also sidelined, so Nicklas Bendtner will be on his own in attack once again..
The good news for Arsenal fans is that Alex Song is likely to return to the team, and they will also be praying that Manuel Almunia could also return, although Arsene Wenger only rates his chances as 50/50.
Johan Djourou, Robin Van Persie and Kieran Gibbs are all out for at least another six weeks.

update:: Arsenal v Sunderland team news – Arshavin, Gallas and Diaby out, Song back in http://bit.ly/9gcl3e
lets all hope we get the result we want on saturday,
it be a hard game but i think we can get a result and keep the pressure on the top 2 in the pl.
lets get wednesdays disappointment out the way.our defending can be bad but in the cold light off day, we know with all the injuries we had we this season we still done remarkabley well remenber no one gave us a chance of being in top 4 this season let lone be 3rd right now.
so sing up fellow gooners back the team as you always do,
arsenal for ever.
A result is not just what we need, we need a win outright, first it will boost confidence, it wwould solidify our chances at tops, it will also exact revenge on Sunderland. But these injuries aren’t helping, still i expect a better showing simply because Denilson won’t be trusted to assist in defending if Song is fit.
I know it will be a little bit difficult because we had a tough match at Porto during the week. But that not withstanding, we must triumph over sunderland at least to prove what gooners can whwn pepole write us off easily. Go boys and make me happy, beat sunderland for me.
hi my fellow gunners.let us keep our hope alive it is 70% posible for us to win a trophy this season.gonners 4 live
