Arsenal working overtime to secure “new Patrick Vieira”
It is being reported this morning that the Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is very keen on bringing the young Portugese midfielder Danilo Pereira to Anfield, but the youngster, who has been favourably compared to a young Patrick Vieira, is more likely to end up at the Emirates next week.
According to the Metro, Arsene Wenger has got the Arsenal representatives “working overtime” at the moment trying to secure the Parma starlet’s signature before the close of the transfer window.
Pereira recently starred as the Portugal U20 team got to the final of the U20 World Cup but were only just beaten 3-2 by Brazil, alerting many top clubs on the way.
The big 19 year-old actually started his career at a club called Arsenal 72 in Portugal when he was just 11 years-old, but worked his way to Parma after being at Benfica for a few years, but he only really began to get noticed when he was loaned out shortly to Aris Salonika in Greece, where he scored twice in just five games before being recalled back to Italy.
This uncompromising midfielder would be a typical Wenger signing and Parma could be persuaded to cash in on him for just a couple of million euros as he is yet to make a first team appearance for Parma, and he could prove to be an excellent investment if he carries on his rapid progression through the ranks.

There is nothing wrong with having 3 defensive midfielder. The concern now is we have more of a need for a proven player maker than another defensive midfielder.

We need another CDM to cover song and frimpong. CDM is a very demanding position that susceptible to red card and injury, that’s why two is not enough. We also need a playmaker, rosicky alone is not enough. Ramsey and wilshere are fantastic, but still have much to learn. We have enough striker. But we need another CB to cover Verminator (koz, djurou, and miquel are very good technically, but none of them is a leader).

Pereira and frimpong would be a very good combination as it focuses on the point that we are weak in, and that is our physical presence on the pitch. Frimpong is already doing a good job of making us more physical but 2 CDM’s who are strong and hsve tactical awareness is something we all want.
The one problem with him is that he hasn’t broken into the Porto first team yet so he will need some Arsene Wenger guidance to get him to play first team for us week in week out. But I am very excited at the prospect of him coming to the Emirates

Look like another new kids in the block scenario. We already have enough cover in Song,Frimpong and need be Miguel. Pls not another want to be STAR player. We end up as the feeder club when the kids grow up because we lack ambition. STOP THIS FEEDER CLUB CRAP and we must start challenging trophies and not contender want to be champion.$#%&!!7%$#

Spuds have just bought in Scott Parker for 6mill plus add on’s. Now that just great, Wenger u stupid man, that’s another good experienced player we have lost out on. HATE WENGER LOVE ARSENAL
