Arsenal could lose another player to Barcelona by BA
What is it with Barcelona? If they want a player, why do they release him only to try to re-sign him a couple of years later? The Spanish club were after Cesc Fabregas for years before they finally prised him away from Arsenal last year. This summer, Barcelona are going to try to take back another player they released from their youth system, Ignasi Miquel.
The 19-year old defender will be offered the chance to join Barcelona B, according to Talksport. They are preparing a bid of around £300,00, but I expect Arsene Wenger will tell them where to stick it. Wenger would prefer to keep the player but knows that his chances will be limited at the Emirates, especially now Johan Djourou is staying.
Wenger will let Miquel go on loan in order to continue his progress, and Gus Poyet’s Brighton seems to be the lucky club. Miquel did get some time on the pitch for Arsenal last season, appearing in nine games for the Gunners. Poyet has proven himself a good coach and has brought on his young players very well.
We cannot afford to lose our good young players, or the Arsenal philosophy will fail.

Has shown signs of quality and defininetly as well as leadership worth giving him a couple of years and sending him out on loan to see how he deals with the physical side of things

Arsenal should loan him to any club with good youth policy to develop more, while Barca should starting saving their millions to buy him in the next 5 or 7 years.

Not that I agree with it, but it’s obvious Barca are going to try and sign back any players they lose from their Academy.
Why?
Because, haven’t you noticed how any players that come from outside Barca struggle to fit in with the club unless they are truly geniuses like Ronaldihno. Barca teaches a very distinctive type of football and even if their player isn’t that good I think they prefer them over someone who hasn’t been trained in that style.
I took a look at some training videos on YouTube yesterday and saw footage of Barca players fooling around with 5 on 2 and then saw the same game being played by other teams during a training session and man the other teams looked like amateurs compared to the Barca players.
Anyway, my point is that they are going to try and resign their players because it’s easier than having to retrain or buy someone from outside their system.

Bartley has been promoted now so Miguel is even further down the pecking order. He’s hardly Cesc Fabregas either is he, so no point getting our panties in too much of a twist.

this is what is so bloody annoying about barca
1. they buy up top name players (henry, abidal, sanchez ibrahimovic etc. etc.) which makes it difficult for the young players to work their way in
2. by doing that, they spend millions that they dont have and the fu*king spanish government bails them out
3. when the players they let go become fully developed (because of their broken youth system) they pay up the nose for them as well.
4. they think just because their government pays off their debts that they can buy anyone anytime and take on as much risk as they want…so basically they are like a corrupt bank

Before we talk about this I think we should still be concerenerd on who the club is going to being in 4 players who I fill could make us a real title threat next year are a goal keeper now you got all your Owen views but I think the one we should go for is sedastian Frey ge plays for geona but this guy is great goal keeper , then a center back a still like the sound of phil jaluika strong and reliable , a defence midfielder in my eyes m villa is still top of my list he’s a hard player and gives other players around him a good kick up they ars some times plus he keeps players focused this is what we need were we lose most are games in the

Yes, Barca are signing back players they’ve sold before. Yes, they are apparently ready to go to some lengths doing that.
No, Miquel is in no worse position at Arsenal than he would be at Barca. The very fact that the proposed move is to Barca B shows how little the originator of this rumour knows of a footballer’s ambitions. So it’s better to leave a club that has already made you a part of its future plans for a club that’s only going to think about it in a while? Fact is, Miquel is still a young prospect, and even Barca would rather send him out to grow some.

I think our relationship is frosty at best, Wenger would tell them where to go for 300k. The Spanish Government doesn’t do anything for Barca! It’s Catalonia and their banks. They’re seen as a symbol of the region, but with Spain’s economic mess, don’t expect to see Barca spending the way they have in the past, but if they do then they’ll be in for a world of hurt. 70m on Ibra, haha.

I have not seen Ignasi Miquel play a lot but of what I have seen he is an excellent young talent. He has good awareness and can pass the ball. He can play CB as well as RB.
I do not think Arsene Wenger will sell him. Also, he has a great future ahead of him and he is still only 19. He will get his chance sooner rather than later. i do not think he himself would want to sign for Barcelona B.

That rumour concerning Miquel and going bck 2 Barca is utter dosh. Why would he risk losing his place in the Arsenal setup where im sure he will form a scary back 4 along with gibbs, bartely and jenks in the near future. He is one for the future mos def and that future is with the Gunners.
And another thing that people dont factor in is that Arsene is keen to shed that Arsenal-is-feeder-club-for-manshitty-and-barcelona mantle. Im quite sure Wenger wil tell them wher 2 shove their €€€€s. Need i say more. COYG
