Arshavin – A little snow in London is like an international disaster!
The Russian midfielder Andrei Arshavin has been giving his usual forthright answers to the press when asked about his life at Arsenal, but this time he hasn’t said anything that will upset Arsene Wenger!
In fact he gives him great praise, and also had something nice to say about the fans.
He said: “Arsene gave me freedom, he requires of me to play as I see on the pitch. I am happy, I sometimes think the fans like me more than my wife does.”
This is Arshavin’s first UK Christmas, and he can’t believe the way that everything stops in London when the temperature drops.
“London is all in snow. It creates a good pre-Christmas mood but for the locals it seems that so much snow causes a great shock.
“When it falls life immediately freezes. When the temperature hits zero it’s like an international disaster in London.”
Having come from Russia, you can see his point of view, but just think what it is like for young players from the South of Spain coming to spend their first Xmas here.
That must be a real shock!
