Aston Villa v Arsenal Betting Tips – Great 2/1 value bet on an Arsenal win
The Premiership is entering one of the most crowded times of the year when teams are playing every few days, things are getting interesting and statistics can change in the blink of an eye. In the festive period many people like to have a bet on their favourite team so here is a little guide for Arsenal’s first match (and visit www.goodbonusguide.com if you are looking for some free bets!)
Arsenal met Manchester City on Sunday for what was one of the most eye-catching matches of this Premiership season, and they’re going to have to be ready to play again on Wednesday against Aston Villa who also played a very tough match on Sunday against Liverpool at home losing 2-0.
The Gunners will have a tough loss to get out of their system before the game on Villa Park, but even with their minds wide open they’ll still have some problems. The City loss basically got them completely out of the fight for the title for the moment and Wenger isn’t having too much luck with the injury list either.
Having used 5 different centre-backs on Sunday for the 4 defensive position and now having lost Djourou as well, Wenger will have to think about his strategy, but finding a good defence won’t be an easy job. Rumours are saying that left-back Gibbs will be back in time for the game so that would leave Koscielny on the right and Wenger’s problems would be pretty much solved, but nothing’s certain for now.
Arsenal are hot favourites at 4/5 odds of winning the game with Paddy Power, while Villa are rated as a 4/1 shot. The Gunners are likely to win, but don’t think for a second that this will be an easy game for them because you’d be dead wrong.
With every Gunners fan out there expecting Robin Van Persie to score and get closer to his 37 goal target before the year is over, he is also rated as a 7/10 chance of scoring any time, while a first goal for Robin would bring you odds of 3/1 as would the last goal of the day.
The recommended bet is on Arsenal. Even though the Gunners lost the last match, they are expected to bounce right back into their previous extraordinary form, but the odds offered on a simple win is not very generous so I will take the value and bet on Arsenal to win by two clear goals (Asian Handicap -1.5) which is a great price of 2/1 from Bet365.
Come on you Gunners!

Even though I enjoy a punt here and there, I’m more concerned about a win.
I’d rather lose a bit of cash than Arsenal losing. We need to get back on the run again! Wenger might concede that the title is out of reach, but i still believe in Arsenal to do well regardless. January transfers could be the turning point.

We better damn well beat them, another loss would put our top 4 placement in dire straits. Teams like these we cannot afford anything but a victory.
