Ballack – Wenger always makes excuses when he loses!

Posted on February 08, 2010 by admin

The Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack was dismissive of Arsene Wenger’s comments yesterday, when the Arsenal manager said: “The best team lost.”

“I think he always says this when he loses. When he loses he always finds an excuse.

The Germany captain feels that his team’s tactics were perfect to counteract Arsenal’s attacking style, and despite the Gunners having the lions share of possession, Chelsea were in control of the match.

“But football is not possession on the ball or playing nice passes. Good football is winning games and that’s what we do when we play against them. We deserved the win because we played very effectively. It was how we wanted to play before the game. It was our strategy. Maybe in the second half we concentrated a bit too much on defending but if you’re 2-0 up you can do this.

“For me good football is a mix of winning, successful football, mental strength, good football technically and also physically. I think we have a good mix in the team and we have done this all season. We can’t do more. First in the table.”

Well you can’t say fairer than that. Arsenal may play beautiful football, but as Ballack says, that’s not always enough…..

Cannot disagree with him; Wenger is as sore a loser as Old Red-face.

Maybe Wenger should move up to Director of Football and bring in a new coach that he can mold, because his big-game tactics (at least since the FA Cup Final 2005) have been shite.

  2. es says:

I have no problem with AW being either a good or bad loser. What I do mind is having to read the unexpurgiated comments of a rabid thug tosspot shitbagging runt-for-brains toadlicker like Mick-the-Dick Ballack … did I also mention that Ballack must rank as one of the worst losers-while-he’s-actually-losing of all time.

    There!

  3. gooner says:

Ballack’s attitude in football resembles that of his national squad. But my memory serves me correct they lost to a superior team in brazil for world cup title. Brazil was clearly the more tecnical squad and germany couldnt handle brazils stylish passing. finesse and skills always wins.

  4. sam says:

there is nothing like a good loser.. fuck ballack..who the hell is he to say that wenger is abad loser..for heaven sake he cant achieve what wenger and arsenal have achieved..if there are good losers then why compete when the essense of competing is winning..

  5. Okey Onwuagha says:

AW is not a responsible coach. Responsible coaches do not make excuses, rather they take absolute responsibility. When Arsenal appointed an economic adviser (at best) as a coach/manager, only one result can emerge: money making/profit sharing rather than wining things for the club and the fans. It will take deep rooted revolution to change things around, may be the fans should employ Bin laden.

  6. slowman Abdul. says:

All because of that tall but nothing danish arsene refused to sign any one. look at what the blunt guy can offer. Thus the 16th century she-goat we have as manager will never do what is right 4 him. arsenal fans take heart as AW tactice are going as planned.

  7. prince says:

wenger is a bad loser.ALWAYS GIVES EXCUSES WHEN HE LOSES.

  8. Joe says:

A little snippet from the days when you were all Liverpool//an U fans!

I seem to remember a time when Arsenal were just as, if not more, “efficient” than Chelsea.
I also seem to remember their fans echoing the thoughts of Ballack and Ancelotti.
Under Graham, when Arsenal would nullify pretty passing teams, i.e., liverpool, with intimidating physical football, the Arsenal fan’s would justify it with the comment “Well, as long as we’re winning things”.

  9. topemagnus says:

what makes any team better than another after 90 minutes is the score line. it is very foolish to say arsenal is the better side without evident to show for it, Ballack is right, and i think wenger should look beyond his idealism and focus more on reality.

  10. RealGoon says:

As much as I can’t stand Ballsack and Chelski, He is right…It did not work at Stoke, it did not work at Aston Villa, It did not work agaisnt ManURe and it did not work against KGB Fulham, so why is Arsene always making baseless excuses? Instead of shifting gears and taking a different approach, LIKE BUYING A DAMN STRIKER IN JANUARY instead of depending on Walcott and Bendtner? What sense does that make? Stubborn and tight fisted.
