Bendtner – I was sick of waiting at Arsenal, now I want the Golden Boot!
Nicklas Bendtner always talked a good game but never quite managed to convince Arsene Wenger or the Arsenal fans of his ability, but now that he has finally made his debut for Sunderland he seems to have regained his old confidence and is aiming to be the top scorer in the Premier League.
The Black Cats play Stoke City tomorrow and Bendtner could have ended up there if things had turned out differently this summer, but that wasn’t what the big Dane wanted to talk about.
“There were a lot of other clubs interested, but that doesn’t matter any more,” said Bendtner. “The main thing is that I’m here.
“It was a big decision to come here, but it wasn’t too difficult in the end because Sunderland was always one of my main options and I’ve spent enough time sitting and waiting at Arsenal.
“If it’s going to be the same for me there, then I’d rather not go back.”
“I want to be a prolific scorer. One of my ambitions is to be the top scorer in the Premier League one day and to do that you need to be playing regularly.”
“I just want to come here and play games and do well,” he concluded. “You never know what could happen in the future.
“Being here is a great opportunity, I’ve come to a club that can finish in the top six.”
Currently Sunderland are in the BOTTOM six without a win so far, and like Bendtner himself, still have some way to go before they can match his unbridled ambition!

It’s good to have ambitions and to be confident, but maybe Bendtner should have been focussing on his touch and consistency rather than all this yakking. Seriously, the guy has potential, but he’s spent more time whinging about lack of game-time than actually putting in the effort and deserving a spot in the starting XI!!
Chamakh may be in poor form lately, but at least he works hard and gives his all when he is actually playing.

if this guy was only as good as he thinks he is then he would get top scorer i remmember him saying he was one of the best in the world but sorry benter your not still think he better than chamack but that wouldnt be hard

his a very powerful and down to earth serious player. please pick up the needed experince to come back and take your place. his stats for arsenal are ther to speak for him. three seasons ago he had the highest number of goals scored by second fringe player!and he has this amazing attitude in big games. always comes in and score.please dont get pissed off with wenger.

Bentner showed flashes that he could be a good striker but he is too egoistic and inconsistent in front of goal.let him correct that and hopefully he will make it.He has size,height and strength.Wish him luck.I don’t mind him coming back at all.

The only thing bigger than bendtners hair is the size of his ego. The way the guy talks, you’d think he’s as good as Messi. The difference – Messi is less about words, more about about action. IMO – Bendtners = knob

this guy had a chance to sink barcelona in champions league but hsi run and first touch so poor couldnt do it. a great striker delivers not just talks
