Bendtner – If Sunderland make the Champions League I will stay!
The Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, currently on loan at Sunderland, believes that he is good enough to only play for one of the top teams in Europe, and unless Steve Bruce can do the impossible and drag the Black Cats into the Top Four this season, he will be off next summer.
Obviously he already plays for Arsenal, who are in the Champions League, but after categorically stating that he won’t be returning to the Emirates he is expecting to actually find a top team to buy him next summer.
He was specifically asked if he thought he would stay at the Stadium of Light beyond this season, and he replied: “I want to play Champions League, let me put it that way.
“Of course I can do that with Sunderland but that means we have to put our skates on.
“I had lots of offers this summer but I chose Sunderland.
“There were some things which were more important at that time.
“Right now what is best for me at Sunderland is football, football and football. It is all about playing games.”
I wonder who the “lots of offers” were from, because everyone that was linked with Bendtner immediately came out and denied they were interested!
And isn’t he on loan because no-one was prepared to pay the £10m asking price for the ‘best player in the world’……

i watched that eduardo vargas guy today in a replay match uni de chile vs arsenal(argentine club) Believe me that guy is the big deal. He was just running riot and also a sharp. Wenger do this guy and believe me no regret on it

Hi, this is my first time posting a reply as I have read every comment for months on this site. Some with much laughter and some with much sadness to see how people who call themselves gooners only talk good about the team when they are doing good.
I havent heard any call for wengers head since we started winning but before lots of people threw him to the wolves.
Anyway Bendtner is really a dissapointed. If his football was in any way as good as his pride and attitude he would be the best striker in the world. I thought that he would mature a bit at Sunderland but seems I was wrong.
Sorry to say bendter but not only do you suck at finishing easy goalie to beat chances you also suck at being a proper die hard gooner.
If you only knew the love we as true supporters have for the club and players you wouldnt act like a idiot.
Last comment is that I think that Song has really matured this season and that Gervinho is making a big difference in the attacking sense. Still has to work on his finishing but for someone who is playing his first season in English Football where alot of stars has failed I think he is doing brilliant.
Well done Wenger for showing the fake gooners you are still the best coach for Arsenal and thank you to the players for showing alot of passion to bounce back. Hope we continue this great form.
