Bendtner injury worse than first thought – op needed

Posted on November 10, 2009 by admin

The Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner was taken off during the game against Tottenham two weeks ago, and it was thought that he would be out for about four weeks, but two weeks later it has still not improved.

Now it seems that he will be needing an operation for a hernia. The Danish striker was in Copenhagen last night at a ceremony and said: “I will have an operation. I don’t know how long I will be out.”

The news is not too much of a blow for Arsenal as long as Robin Van Persie and Eduardo can stay off the treatment table. They are more than capable of keeping up Arsenal’s phenomenal scoring rate.

Theo Walcott is also expected to return to training next week, and Wenger will be hopeful he can finally get an extended run in the team after his second injury this year.

Carlos Vela also has a knee injury, but according to Wenger is also close to a comeback.

  1. Zeki says:

    Thank God he is injured.
Now we have a chance of doing something this year.
    I think he is pafetic.
He’s played how many games? Loads. and how often does he score? rarely. and how many assists? None.
And how many times does he give the ball away?
    and miss the target?

There are so many people defending him, and saying he has improved bla bla.

Yes, maybe he has improved. But he will never ever be The real Arsenal quality.
So i am delighted he is injured

  2. Arsenal1Again says:

ZEKI, Do you mean how many games has Bendtner played out of position?

Oh yes, and add more water to it mate. The player is very much ‘Arsenal quality’ when playing in his correct position.

Now with Van Persie injured and Vela still Injured, and Walcott still injured and with Eduardo due another injury very soon ….. you’re glad Bendtner is injured?????

…. Who do you really support, because I can see it’s not my Arsenal judging from your nauseating comments.
