Blackburn were appalling but Arsenal are on their way back up the table
That 7-1 win was needed, that’s for sure. On the back of three losses and a draw, Arsenal had to get a win now or our hopes for Champions league football would be too far away to catch. This positivity of the result was also compounded by the draws of the other big clubs. All the movement and the passing seemed rejuvenated from previous Wenger eras and the team just looked reborn. However, we can’t get carried away with the result; it was against a sinking 10 men Blackburn team. They were appalling whatever way you look at it. Then again, you have to play the team in front of you.
In respect to the table, we are only three points off Chelsea now and with them to come to the Emirates, we could easily see that deficit overturned. We also have the benefit of our goal difference finally starting to recover from the debacle at the beginning of the season. I would hope that we go on a good run now and we could even be above Chelsea before they come to the Emirates just to ease off a little bit of pressure on the players.
In respect to Liverpool, we are a point above them at the moment and even though they have hit a rich vein of form, they still look weak attacking wise and not penetrative. This could definitely play in our hands as we go to Anfield for a decisive tie. I would expect a draw but we could definitely push for a win there, just to make sure that they are out of it. Even the Spuds are catchable. 10 points seems like a lot but they still have to come to the Emirates and with the possibility of disruption that the whole ‘Redknapp to England manager’ situation could bring, the better for us.
We just have to start winning games now and if a 7-1 win doesn’t stir the team’s spirit then I don’t know what will.

I believe arsenal will maybe finish third this season..Every game should go unbeatin… Rosinsky should start ahead of ramsey from now on..Because look, he played a whole game and we end up winning 7-1…Ramsey plays a whole game and we either lose or draw..he is weak in the mid field and lacks creativity and thinks he is better than he is…anyways aresenal will win this game at least 5-0 if rosinsky starts…he is good and has lots of creatity..

We shouldn’t get too carried away, but realistically, we can now reach third. Liverpool aren’t scoring too many goals, Chelski don’t look that impressive & we can beat them again. If Redknapp does go for the England job who knows where that would leave the spuds. And newcastle won’t be above us come the end of the season; they just won’t!

It was a great result but, I don’t think that the players should get carried away or start having delusions of grandeur, yes 3 points behind Chelsea for 4th is very attractive & is possible with a win against Sunderland however, Liverpool 1 point behind us is to close….
Therefore A.W. must play the strongest team available to him in each & every game from now on.
It won’t be long until we have everyone back from injury except poor jack & then better late than never, conquer Europe & dominate the English game again.
Ps, classy goal from gervinho in the CAF….

Iv always seen Rosicky’s worth,he was world class when we signed him got very unlucky with injuries. A month ago he was listed in ye’r ‘dead wood’ section evry1 was askin for his head and now hes liked again?So many of ye are so easily pleased and critical.

We only need a three nil against the black cat, Table will change dramatically. In every team an Old guard is needed. Rosicky needs to accomplish his carrier at Emmirate, he has been patient with all the transfer waves during his carrier at Emmirate. Management job to be spared for him, his experience /confidence speak for them selves. Arhavin will soon provide the same, Old is Gold.

3: great result last sat, yes great, because after 3 straight defeats and a draw we needed a big emphatic win, a convincing win with big performances from certain players, hopefully we have turned a corner and it gees the team up
4: heres my worry: whenever we have an oppertunity to make some ground we never ever take it, weather its a late kick off knowing that other teams around us have dropped points we never capitalise and take advantage. this is where we need mental toughness and togetherness from every1 at afc……the emirates needs the loud mouth working class/ boderline offensive fans in thae ground singing and cheering from the off, like at anfield but without the racism and thuggery!

Hate to be negative but Sammy is right, nobody would buy Bendtner or Denilson. Nobody will buy Diaby, Squillaci, Park or Chamakh either. They’re getting paid too much more than they’re worse. That’s for the summer though, for now i’m praying that we don’t see a typically uninspiring away performance and the boys can kick on.
