Can Arsenal win all four competitions?
Arsene Wenger is preparing to face Leyton Orient for a place in the Quarter-Finals of the FA Cup, and he is certain to rotate the team after the gruelling win over Barcelona in midweek, but do the Gunners have the strength in depth to win all four competitions they have entered this season?
Wenger was asked that question yesterday and he replied: “I believe we can go in every competition to the end but we can, as well, stop very quickly.
“It’s just down to how much we believe and how much commitment we show.
“What I am convinced of is that we have the hunger and we have some talent, and we are all committed to go as far as we can.
“We are involved in all four competitions so we will do our best and my job is to get the team as far as it can.
“Our destiny will be made by how we focus every time, how much we can mobilise our resources in every single game.
“We do not choose to drop a competition – that would be silly. We know Leyton Orient will be a different game but the commitment needed will be the same.
“We are hungry for success and from Wednesday night’s game, we can get a bit more belief, more certainty about how we behave.
“But we want to be conscious as well that it’s the FA Cup, it means total focus, total commitment to be successful on Sunday.”
The next two weeks games will be crucial to the team’s season. A win tomorrow, if followed by success in the Carling Cup Final and at least a draw in the Camp Nou, will go a long way to making the Arsenal fans believe that it could be done…….

pesonally i think it is total nonesense to speculate about a quadrupel at this time. just take it game after game and lets see what we have achieved at the end of the season.

everyone including the players needs to get there head around the fact that defeat to barca in the next leg will be the end of the season for us. are boys have already done us proud and if we dont progress it should spur us on to claim the other titles on offer. if we lose to barca there is no shame and our season can still be great. i believe we showed enuf on wednesday that were not as far behind them as everyone thought . so if not this season definately sooner rather than later. keep the faith, always !

to tell you the truth i think we can win the carling cup and the fa cup the only reason why the other two are looking difficult is because both barca nd manu are in our way but if we do beat barca again den we will win everythin and that is a fact

ofcorse we can win everything this year, the most crucial game of our season is Barcelona at the Camp Nou, we NEED a result there as it will mentally affect us in all four competitions, but, take every game as it comes, and win every game that comes

Charlie, the Carling Cup will have been decided before Arsenal go to the Nou Camp.
In my opinion, the following will need to happen if Arsenal win (or seriously threaten for) the quad:
1. Wilshere will continue to up his game. At the end of the season, he’ll be the hottest property at Arsenal, and Fab-to-Barca rumors will subside in favor of Jack-to-Anywhere speculation.
2. Fabregas, van Persie, Walcott, and Nasri will continue to gel and score freely, ending the year with an average tally of 20 goals each in all competitions; none will have serious injury concerns until the summer. Arshavin, Bendtner, and Chamakh will maintain fitness and instantly change games with their introductions.
3. The back four will continue to solidify and will be able to interchange freely. Once Vermaelen returns, there will be no further injury concerns.
4. Szczesny will never again face questions about his ability or maturity, and has started his last game on the bench.
5. Clichy and Eboue will continue their rebirths.
Here’s hoping.

Yes but we are 150 to 1 against at the bookies. So that tells the story.
But the fact is we have a better chance than anyone else.FACT.
Dont forget that according to the likes of Baz and Wengers mum.we can never win anything ever again with that clown Arsene Wenger in charge.
WE need to spent like City and Chavski.
Just ask Adam Kemp.

We haven’t won a trophy since 2005 and now we are talking about quads?!?!???? Come on guys. We should win about 2 (prem & carling). FA cup could be good with liverpool and chelsea already out, and barca at the nou camp…

Once again the media are making a huge deal about an honest answer given by a manager. What was Wenger supposed to say to the question “can you win all four competitions?”. Should he have said “No, I do not believe we have the talent to do that. I think we are not good enough to do that”?
Of course he woul never say that. Arsene Wenger said what any intelligent person would say. It doesnt mean he expects to win all four, or even one. But we are still in four competitions and until we get knocked out of one, then we CAN win all four.
Is it likely? No, exactly as Wenger says, “I believe we can go in every competition to the end but we can, as well, stop very quickly”.
In many ways this is similar to 2002 when he was asked if he thougcould go unbeaten. He sai, yes, it was possible, whi it was. Luckily that team actually mad his statement come true.
I think everyone, including Arsene, knows that there is still an awful lot of football to be played.

no we cant , plz dont be traditional arsene wenger who gets his spirit to the sky when we win a big match and say that we have matured and we can win the titles and the next thing we find ourself losing 2 or 3 matches in a row so
honestly i think we have a big chance to winning the carling cup but otherwise in the champion league we will lose to barca 2 or 3/zero ( i hope not) and in the permier league we are just waiting for manutd to fall provided that we keep consistent and history says we dont
so its only FA cup and carling and may be PL but definitely not the CL

Can Arsenal win all 4 competitions? Yes why can’t we? Because it’s never been done before in England? Because the squad isn’t good enough? Of course there is a ton of football yet to be played but if and i believe when we progress in the Champions league i don’t think teams will want to face us… Imagine the confidence that will be flowing through the squad. The team that i would be worried to be paired with in the Champions league is Man U but outside of them i think we would have a great chance of progressing and winning. Carling Cup should be lifted next week. Man U in the FA Cup is the only other worry there and in the league Man U have tough games still to play. They have to play Chelsea twice and while they’ve looked horrible for the last month lets hope they can find it within themselves to show everyone why they get paid so much. They have to play Liverpool once more and they have been playing well and getting results lately so with all that said MAN U have 9 draws already. 9! Their sure to drop more points. We can win all 4 competitions. COME ON SUPPORTERS… SUPPORT!!!

id take this season as a total success if we walk away with any two trophies, four would be a dream but i cant see it. give me the carling cup and the league and il be a very happy man. with barca away coming up a good spirited performance over there and we will be set, regardless of the result. which btw i think could be anything from 3-0 to 0-3, just gonna enjoy this one. who knows?

Not a chance. The likes of Rosicky/Denilson/Squillaci/Almunia have repeatedly shown they are not at the required level to play for Arsenal FC. Our first choice 11 can compete with anyone, but is severely hindered when diluted with any of this utter sh@&e! Even for a second string, a draw with Orient is NOT acceptable. Competing on four fronts, it’s only a matter of time before this dross has to play in a competitive game and we will lose! Choose the two to go for, concentrate solely on them and we have a chance. Then cut the chaff in the summer. Surely a double would do those bemoaning a fruitless five seasons?

we will get the quadruple if we can manage to retain almunia and squillaci on the bench the most we can. Every time they play it is at least 1 goal conceded for sure.
